PotterMore just opened to the public once again, getting everyone into a Harry Potter inspired frenzy. Many people are making accounts for their rp characters and chatting about what houses and professions their characters would have in the Wizarding world.

[ rules ]
01 ☞ All characters are now AU'd to have been born within the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
02 ☞ Comment with your character to the meme (include their pottermore username if you wish). Put the House of your character in the subject line with character name and canon.
03 ☞ If you don't know what House your character would fit in, take one of the numerous sorting quizes, or use the RNG to decide.
04 ☞ Tag other people's comments with your character (repeating above instructions for deciding a House) and roll for what Year your characters are in.

[Gilbert Beilschmidt isn't the Gryffindor Quidditch Captain, not yet, but the current Captain has seen potential in him and trusts him enough that he put him in charge of Quidditch tryouts. This is a test, the first of many, and would determine whether he would take the helm next year. Gilbert would be sad to see the current captain, one he fondly calls Old Fritz, go, but that's just the way things go and he knows he's got some pretty large shoes to fill.]

[The sixth year Beater stands before the students who plan to try out for the Gryffindor Quidditch team and tries to look for potential players on sight. True, you can never really tell if someone's good at first glance for the most part, but sometimes there's just a hint to that ability somewhere. After catching their attention and finally getting them to settle down, he holds up the clipboard with the list of names.]

When I call your name, come forward and state what position you're trying out for.

[Bran is only a second year, but he's always wanted to be on a Quidditch team. Robb is, and he and Jon and Theon would always play at home while he had to watch in the yard with Rickon on the girls. It wasn't fair, but they had given him a chance, taught him how, and he knows that he wants this. He stands tall even if he's quite small, holding his broom with confidence as he waits, because that is what his father would have told him to do. Be strong, you are a Stark.]

[Gilbert reads the names one after the other, looking to their bearers and sizing them up. He matches names to faces and families. Some of them match the positions they are trying out for while others look like they could get knocked off their brooms by a gust of wind. This is a tryout, however, and he'll have to see if his first impressions are true. He looks forward to surprises, too. Who knows, maybe someone from this batch could help them out in winning this year. Slytherin's got the Quidditch Cup for far too long already.]

[Red eyes focus on the latest name on his list, calling it out.]

[This is it. Here goes nothing. With his chin up and his broom firmly in his hand Bran steps forward, glancing into the stands for only a moment where Robb and Theon were relaxing and watching. Theon's probably making fun of him in his own way and being chastised by Robb for it, Bran can tell even this far away. He can't mess up, not now.]
