Pretty self-explanatory. Sometimes, chemistry just hits you and you see that special someone for the first time and . . . it's so intense, there's no reasoning behind it other than it has to be love.

How this works:

→ Congratulations, whoever tags your character is seeing them for the first time and is in love with them. Truly, madly, deeply.

She takes the handkerchief in her hand, already able to feel his connection to it. She nods and tucks it into the pocket of her dress.

"It will do just fine. And I need you to know that I'm not the type of woman who takes marriage lightly. My husband is not a cruel man, but he is very distant and he does not love me. At least not as much as his first wife. And I hold no love for him." She has to make sure he understands before she can leave his side. Otherwise she feels certain that in the day that passes before they next meet, he will change his mind about her.

"Do you mind if I ask why you married him?" He knows that not everyone loves their spouse, but he is a bit curious.

"It's... complicated." How to explain about her mother, and losing Daniel, and feeling like she would never have love again?

"The man I loved was killed. I thought my only chance at happiness was gone, so when my mother insisted that I marry the king, I went along with it. She was very... forceful."

"And now you think that wasn't true, and you could have another chance at happiness?" It's important to know that.

He's got her backed into a corner, and if there's to be any hope of a future for them she knows she has to tell the truth.

"Maybe? I want to believe it. I guess you could say my hope has been rekindled."

"Here's to hope, then." And husbands not finding out, apparently.

"Yes. Though we no longer have drinks to toast with." She touched his cheek with her gloved hand, unable to resist the urge.

"Thank you for walking with me. I feel like tomorrow will be the longest day of my life, until I can see you again."

He fingers the handkerchief he gave her earlier. "Well you have this to tide you over until then. It's not the same thing as the real thing, I know, but I'm sure you can make do."

"I'll manage somehow," she replies with a smirk on her lips. She could only hope that he felt the same way, and would be counting the minutes until they were together again.

"Try not to get yourself arrested between now and tomorrow night, if you would, please."

"It hasn't happened yet. The forest is my home. I know how to hide in it."

"Yet being the operative word." She looked up into his eyes, and despite all of his confidence she worried. She was worried about him already, this man she had just met.

"Just promise me you'll be careful."

"I'm always careful. This time, though, I'll be extra careful. There's someone counting on it."

"Thank you." She reluctantly detached from him and opened the door of her carriage to step inside. She turned back and looked at him over her shoulder, suddenly fearful that it would be the last time she ever looked upon his face.

"Until tomorrow night," she said softly. She pressed a kiss to her fingertips, then touched them to his cheek.

"Until tomorrow night. I'll see you then." In the meantime he'll ignore the voice in the back of his mind that's warning him that he shouldn't get involved with a woman who has a husband. Especially when that husband is the king.
