Sometimes there are things which are left unsaid which needed to be discussed. Events which happened which had no resolution. Feelings left undiscussed. Or maybe your character needs some counsel. Either way, you have some things which need to be put out in the open. It's not good to let open wounds fester, after all. So it's best to get things out there and try to find some sense of resolution.

Well, an actual cave was not exactly a place Elphaba ever expected to end up, but here she was.

They'd been on the move for almost a week, only stopping for Elphaba to eat and rest -- Fiyero didn't seem to need to do either of those anymore. She tried to look on the bright side, that it was less they had to carry, but the world was still looking pretty ozdamn dim. There was still some daylight left, but the sky that had been threatening all day had started pouring rain, so Elphaba was in for the night. Fortunately, they'd noticed the clouds that morning and had the sense to find and stay close to the nearest shelter.

Elphaba had built a small fire for warmth, keeping her body between Fiyero and the flames as much as possible. Maybe she was overcautious, but she couldn't handle it if something happened to him now. They were cuddled together on the cold stone floor now, even though there was no body heat to share, with Elphaba's head tucked down against Fiyero's chest. she had a hand on his side, slowly feeling out the straw under his shirt that kept his shape.

After awhile, she spoke, voice uncharacteristically quiet. "I'm sorry I did this to you."
