A Day at the Beach Meme
So you need a vacation. The weather's nice, so why not hit the beach?

So here are the rules:
1. Comment with your character and put their name and canon in the subject line.
2. Do beach stuff with whoever threads with you. Go tanning. Collect seashells. Have a picnic. Swim. Surf. Visit the little resort. Get stranded at sea in a canoe. Day or night. Do your own thing.
3. There is no need for RNG here, just have fun. :)

So, it was times like this that made his follow through all the more relieving, his laughter ringing in that warm feeling in the echo of her false heart. And she found herself letting go in turn, giggles pattering along like the splish-splashing trickles of water that lapsed back into its whole. Her hand tightened on his in turn and she looked back at him, newly wet hair partly caught on her face as she grinned at him like old times. As if everything they'd been through, all those hard times for just an instant had never happened. Maybe something slightly distracting, but she was too caught up in the moment to consider that maybe they should have been watching where their feet were going.

At first, he just felt something different down there. Then with his next step, he didn't quite advance as far as he thought he would, setting him off-balance. Finally, as he struggled to pull forward and keep pace with Xion as she led him on their romp through the gentle surge, he stumbled.
His movement forward stopped abruptly, his hand staying tight around hers. He tried to hop forward a couple steps in vain effort to keep his balance.
"Wha!? WHA?! WHOAAA!!!"
Suiting last words for a durp like him. If Xion managed to get free, she'd likely see her friend go into the shallow water with a fairly spectacular splash. And if she didn't? Well, she'd be joining him in the brine.

"Whoa!" She was falling, too. For that matter, she was falling sideways, right smack on top of him. She hadn't meant to add to the repercussions, but well. There she was. At least the sand gave them a relatively soft landing although it was more than a little on the wet side as the water surged once more under her own weight. While her first instinct was to remove herself, she found it to be a trickier predicament than she first thought it to be. And maybe she was a little on the inner flailing side as she felt that new, strange feeling of skin on skin contact. It was certainly different from holding hands and maybe a slightly distracting. Oh- Maybe she should say something.
"Hold on! Sorry, I'll be off of you in just a minute, Roxas!" She should be asking him to let go of her hand. Probably. But well.

For starters, they landed more toward the shallow and wet-sand part of the beach than the actual has-water part. Of course, there still WAS water... but it was just that bit of tide that lazily washed up on the edge of the shore. If it weren't for the fact that his instincts were telling him that the sand was going to be a pain to get out of his hair, the whole feel of just the water lapping up past his ears really wasn't so bad.
That actually led to the question of him wondering just how in all of the tussle that he ended up managing to land flat on his back. There were worse ways he imagined he couldn't landed: on his face or maybe on his side or perhaps at some weird and uncomfortable angle.
Then there was that odd calm. That feel and realization that she was on top of him, their fingers interlaced. Somewhere in the back of his head, he was flailing as wildly as she seemed to be. There were those confusing feelings he tended to get when thinking about girls and parts of them he wasn't entirely sure he should focus on. But then, it was Xion. It was okay that they were touching, right? What's the worst that could come of it? Still, he figured that there wasn't much point in letting her think he was entirely okay with all of this. Among other things, he was sore as all get-out from the landing.
So with a shake of his head to double-check his bearings, he looks up at her as he cranes his neck up slightly. The blond's expression seems to reflect that modest bit of pain he was feeling from the whole falling deal.
"It's alright... are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine- what about you? H-Here." She attempted to rise again, coming so close to pushing off onto her knees. But then her balance failed her and she collapsed again. At least this time, she eased the fall. But that still left her back to square one. And that was maybe when she realized their hands were still together and if she just asked him to... Come on, Xion. Not that hard. And she was all up in his space and maybe he didn't- It's alright.
She closed her eyes and ducked her head, quiet one moment. And then a soft laugh arose from her. Uncertain but there. Why did they always seem to end up in these circumstances? She swore, ever since they had ended up in the city... Not that it was... really a bad circumstance if he didn't mind, but... But they were there to enjoy the beach, right? And... and...
