A Day at the Beach Meme

So you need a vacation. The weather's nice, so why not hit the beach?



So here are the rules:

1. Comment with your character and put their name and canon in the subject line.
2. Do beach stuff with whoever threads with you. Go tanning. Collect seashells. Have a picnic. Swim. Surf. Visit the little resort. Get stranded at sea in a canoe. Day or night. Do your own thing.
3. There is no need for RNG here, just have fun. :)

[ jerks forward, no longer floating but just sitting there. ]

I've never actually BEEN in the ocean before you know.

Now you have. [Being a hardass, it's what he does.] It's just salty water. Nothing is going to come eat you, so relax. [But seriously if some shark shows up, Vani will punch it in the gills, okay.]

[ glares at for a moment longer. ]

Move so I can try this again.

[Shifting back, Vanitas lifts his arms and scoots Karkat back up onto his back. Float, gdmit.]

[papshooshing]

[ hey! he could've done it on his own. but he takes a shaky breath and exhales, closing his eyes and focusing on keeping his hips up. ]

[shadowdive]

[It's just enough of a push. Letting him get balanced, Vani gives him a good five minutes of floating like that before chuckling quietly.]

See? Not that hard.

[papshooshing]

[ his ear twitches slightly in the water, grunting. he cracks an eye to glare. ]

I'm getting used to it.

[shadowdive]

[That glare has no effect.]

Good. It's a basic to know for being near water ever. It's good to know if you're flying and get dropped for whatever reason. [GIVING YOU BASIC LIFE SKILLS, IT'S WHAT HE DOES.]

...Dropped. Vanitas, I don't like the idea of dropping from anything. Why the fuck would I be in the air?

[KAYNESHRUG] It's a life skill to keep.

Maybe. I know of enough that would be fine with that.

You guess? [Rolling his eyes, Vani gives a push on the trolls stomach and dunks him for that.]

[papshooshing]

[ and up his arms go, floundering around in the water once more. stupid Vani. ]

[Letting him up now, Vani will just cross his arms with an almost poutish expression.]

Alright, go to shore and strip down. You can learn to swim without that stuff weighing you down easier. [And if you don't come back, he will find you.]

[papshooshing]

[ sputters and spits out some water, glaring. ]

Sure.

[ but first Karkat leaps up, tackling Vanitas. ]

[shadowdive]

[Whoops, not expecting that, so down they both go into the water.]

[papshooshing]

[ yes, that is just as planned. then he struggles to get up and head toward shore. ]

[shadowdive]

[Oh no, you aren't going to shore anymore. At least not until Vani gets the last laugh. Getting yanked right back down about now.]

[papshooshing]

Aaaahhh!

[ and down Karkat goes with another loud splash. ]

[shadowdive]

[And with that, Vani gets up and moves back into deeper water to 'protect' himself. Go strip already, Karkles.]

Y-you just want to see me naked...

[ grumble grumble. soggy crab grumbles. ]
