Sure, games and memes are great for gathering and maintaining CR. However, sometimes a given setting or scenario just really doesn't cut it for you. Maybe you want something more intensive than what a game can give you, or an AU just isn't as up to snuff as you imagined it would be. This is usually why one would set up a PSL. But finding someone interested in a PSL isn't always easy. That's what this meme is for. Post here with information on your story idea and what kind of character you're looking for, and maybe you can just snag a couple of people interested. Anon and sock posting is just fine ifyou don't want others knowing who you are.

Randy is coming back to me after a several year hiatus and for the first time on DW. Understandably there aren't many people who remember him from before. So I'd like to find more friends for him and start to re-broaden his world. I'm open to pretty much any character, fandom (or lack thereof) as long as it doesn't take him too far from his 'guy next door' roots. I've had rough experiences with that in the past.

What I'd really like to do, though I'd be much more picky about, is get him a girlfriend. In six years I've never written Randy as dating because it just hasn't felt right. If I can find the right companion for him I'd be interested in challenging myself by doing that. I should note that there would not be smut involved; I prefer to fade to black on anything higher than PG-13.

I'm looking for about 1-3 people for a RoboCop PSL (I'm open to RoboCop 2014/original canon characters and non-canon characters AUed into RoboCop universe). Prose preferred.

Basically I'd like to start from a canon-point and spin off AU stuff from there. Basically would be interested in action, survival, world-building. I'm down with playing Alex as either more robotic, like his dopamine-levels were flattened again, or more human like the end of the movie. I'm pretty hard to shock with subject matter, so I'm pretty open to most stuff,and I like being surprised where a thread or post goes!

Jumping in to say I'm look for a Warm Bodies PSL, pre-canon. I'd love M and zombie OCs to play out things before he meets Julie. Mostly looking for prose, backtagging! Also comfortable with references to zombie stuff, zombie-movie levels of gore because that kind of comes with the territory.

I've always wanted to try a igantic grand fight that threatens a huge area or even the planet itself as collateral damage, preferably with Asura eventually losing and being sealed away somehow or other, but open to Bad Ends too. Good for hero types!

Bonus to the above! If a potential partner in this is willing to play out a build up involving a series of short scenarios in which Asura steadily messes up their life, that'd be great. My ideal idea is that the relationship goes from 'chance meeting, Asura considers them inconsequential but damages their life somehow', 'opponent purposefully involves themselves in an evil Asura action, derails it by fighting' 'things get personal, Asura does something really life ruining' 'JUSTICE/REVENGE/THE WORLD EXPLODES.'

Also, losing to the power of friendship would be awesome if a bunch of people want to get invovled.

Is there anyone who'd be interested in a PSL of some kind involving the politics and social aspects of the French Revolution, primarily after 1793 throughout the reign of Napoleon?

though to be honest i'm not sure if this guy would satisfy the "politics" and "social" aspects so much as the "fucking shit up" and "putting bullets in them damn crapauds" aspects. if you're unfamiliar with the canon, he's a british rifleman up-jumped from the ranks and the canon point i usually play him from is around 1812 but i can go as far back as 1805.

so all in all he might be too much the wrong side of the conflict/nowhere near france for your purposes, but i figured i'd say something because it's not often i see other characters from the era kicking around.

Not sure if you are interested at all. I know people aren't always comfortable playing off of villains like Jake, but he's available for the profanity, egotism, and fur coat that he automatically provides any situation.

His canon is a book series called Elemental, his own POV book being Secret. He's an air elemental set in a pretty normal universe, high school aged in America and all that. Anything that would realistically fit into a world that has supernatural/magical elements would work.

Open to pretty much anything just really wanna get playing him in any way shape or form ahah. [M/M for shippy stuff, he's canonically gay] So if anyone was interested even if they've never heard of the books hit me up.

okay, full disclosure: will probably be smut-based. not everybody likes 63 aus, but if you do, let's boogie. i'm looking for a steve because i ship it in a "you teach me to be a better person cause i'm kind of an asshole", way, but gen is probably better (or better at first, if you like long-burn; which i do). tony stark as a lady is tldr an internalized misogynist and sleeps aroudn with people and can't possibly be with pepper because pepper doesn't like girls ("i know who you are and how you are with girls and all of that, which is completely fine"), and as such there are a few canonical divergences after/during im2.

As I've said in other places, I really don't expect anyone to know Mike, but I'm still in the market for PSLs.

Short version: Mike is an operative for a slightly-underground-but-once-respected organisation known as FLAG. He isn't a great fit for this role, but he still goes where the job demands, righting wrongs with his talking car, an AI called Kitt (whom I tend to NPC).

I'd love to have him meet people who generally do the same thing, make some friendships outside of FLAG - which he desperately needs - and maybe forge some possible allies against whatever the world has out there.

I'd also love for him to have his dad to talk to, but I know that's basically impossible.

Mike is a flirtatious character. Meanwhile, I'm not against shipping, but that's not my complete focus. If it happens in the course of a story, that's great, and I love that kind of thing, but I want a story.

So, please, toss me some ideas. I'm open to figuring stuff out!

If I can get a Mikael I'd like to do something that's post the last book, or the movie if you haven't read the books (or gotten that far). Just something where they tackle another conspiracy and their changed relationship.

I'd also like to do some crossover with Constantine (the movie version). I just want to throw two eccentric characters together. Lisbeth could have taken an interest in murder cases that have a religious undertone or some connection to the occult, which is how she meets Constantine and it goes from there.

I would absolutely lovelovelove an Ezio Auditore (Assassin's Creed) to play against Selene (Underworld). I know, it's the craziest thing ever, but it's always been a niggle in the back of my mind. I just love the characters respective backstories, and I think a younger!vampire!Selene and an older!Ezio (somewhere around the Brotherhood years, probably) would make an interesting combination.

Doesn't have to specifically be a ship/smut (though I'm okay with both, in the event), I'm good with just tossing characters in and letting them do their own thing. I tend to write in prose, I'm good with either museboxing or even random threads here on Bakerstreet; just looking for someone willing to give the idea a try, if interested at all. Am also good with slow/backtagging, I'll backtag into forever, lol.
