Even if the two of you keep losing each other, you'll get to meet again. This meme is that meeting. For the first time? For the hundredth time? That much isn't clear. What is clear is that on this, your seeming first meeting - Everything rushes back to you. Memories, emotion, and all the comes with it...including the memory of how you two died. Overwhelming, isn't it? Some people find it hard to accept, for good reason. What will you do? You can't just bring it up, they'll think you're crazy! Maybe you don't want to bring it up, as you refuse to believe it yourself. And even if you do believe it, that doesn't mean you have to embrace it. You're your own person, after all. You refuse to love someone merely because of who you were in the past. Or maybe you can't help but let these feelings rise to the surface because they're too strong. No matter what, you can't repress it. In fact, the more you two meet and spend time together, the more you find yourself falling back into the old roles...and making the old mistakes. That isn't good, though; there's one more thing. One of you, when you first met, had a vision about how the two of you would die this time. You can't let that happen. Not again. Comment with your character and your preferences. Feel free to do a modern AU of your character. Assumed CR and AUs are a must here. Don't feel obligated to stick with first meetings. Play that the characters have known each other for a while, are trying to have a relationship while trying to be their own unique selves, not having a relationship because THE PAST DOESN'T DEFINE ME, or even trying to avoid death in an adventurous fashion! [ Kotomi hadn't really hesitated, really. The moment she saw Ikki and somehow remembered something that wasn't even really like a memory as much as it was like something she only vaguely knew and yet never experienced in her life, but she did feel exactly like she had been together with him once upon a time. Somehow. And Kotomi is not the type to question that sort of stuff, it just made her want to latch onto the guy even more. Because it wasn't as if she disliked Ikki from the start - he seems a little scary, Kotomi knows that more than anyone else, but she's below isn't that scary at all.

But there was another reason why she virtually literally latched onto him and half of the time didn't even want to let go, whether it was because of hugging or lying together in bed or walking down the street while holding his hand or arm.. it's since she's scared. Incredibly scared. Because along with the knowledge that somewhere, somehow she was together with him before, she also knows they died. Both of them. But what she seems to know that Ikki doesn't (and she hasn't dared to tell him, really, it somehow feels too sad) is that she also knows he'll die. And it spooks around in the back of her mind, no matter how much she tries to not think of it - every single time she sees Ikki, she's so scared he'll just disappear or drop dead that she wants to make sure to hold onto him. So then he'll never be able to leave her, right?

Today is no different. As they're walking down the street, Kotomi is clinging to his arm the way a small child might cling to its mother in order to avoid losing her in the crowd. Then again, Ikki would probably be used to Kotomi acting that way by now. ]

He wakes after he's screamed the name, not knowing if the shout was even his own voice. John sits bolt upright, drenched in sweat, clutching the bedsheets to him for something to ground him.

The nightmare...again.

He always gets it at this time of the year, since as long as he can remember. But the face he witnessed was always foggy until a few years ago. When he met Sherlock; now the figure in Victorian clothing wears his mask. But the sequence of events is always the same.

A waterfall. Foreign climates. Brisk and surrounded by mountains so...maybe Switzerland or Norway?

He's running as fast as he can for some unknown reason - and he always gets there just in time to see Holmes (Sherlock) with his arms wrapped around a figure in black before they tumble into the deadly waters - and John is left there alone.

The dreams had become even more disturbing after what happened three years ago. They no longer ended with him at the cliffs...instead he made it to the bottom and would find his friend's head smashed against the rocks, his wrist cold and without the slight hum of a pulse.

And then the river washes the blood, and Sherlock, away.

John sits up and tries to control his breathing, hoping Sherlock didn't hear him scream.

[ With things back to normal in outer space and the entertainment ban dissolved, 0048 has been really put into action. Lives everywhere, the theater concerts have been multiplying, and more importantly...

With Chieri going Center Novae and Acchan's succession, things have really been busy lately. Takamina's happy that things are finally the way they should be. Part of her wants to think that the original Takamina would be proud of her.

Speaking of Acchan... There's a part of Takamina where she's unsure of how to approach her. She acts normal as ever around her, but the feeling of having Acchan back in the group just feels... She isn't sure how to put it into words.

She watched Acchan disappear in front of her eyes. The original Takamina watched Acchan graduate before she did.

It's not usual for them to be alone in the dorm lounge. Usually, Acchan would be with some of the other kenkyuusei, but it doesn't seem to be the case. This is an opportunity to like, talk or something, right?

So she stands up from her seat, moves around behind the couch where Atsuko is sitting and wraps an arm around her shoulder. ]
