How does it work? Simple! Choose a relationship (or roll for one, if it suits your fancy), and then RNG for a situation! That, or just go straight for whatever situation appeals to you. These are all fairly vague: just something to start you off!  Parent-Child      1. Rock-a-Bye How do you get a fussy child to sleep? Read them a story, sing them a lullaby, or just let them stay up until they exhaust themselves? Whatever the choice, it is time for bed.       2. For The First Time You've never met this person in your life, but it turns out they're one of the two reasons you exist. Maybe they walked out when you were young. Maybe they never knew you were born. Whatever the reason, it is now time to meet them.       3. Past Midnight That curfew was set for a reason. Now it's two AM, and your kid is just now dragging in. [It's a lot easier to find makeup here than it probably would be out in the zones, but that doesn't mean it isn't still a pretty precious commodity! Kenzi's almost six now, and she really understands how important makeup is. It makes you look TOUGH! And cool. And it makes all the boys nintimadated, which is a word she likes very much but hasn't quite gotten the hang of saying out loud.

Pony wears lots of makeup. She knows where he keeps it! She's seen him put it on a kabillion times by now, it can't be hard!

So when Pony comes back from whatever important thing he was doing, Kenzi's sitting on the makeup table in front of the big mirror applying what is supposed to be a lipstick lightning bolt to her left eye. Lightning bolts are really hard, though, so it comes out looking more like a lightning blob. X's are easier. She makes her right eye an X! There. Much better. But that lipstick is looking a little worse for wear...]

He tells Michael on the eve of his Challenge to Eight. It's more a hope for advice, for understanding; it turns into a fumbling trial run for the conversation he hopes to have with the man between his grandfather and himself. There are no tears, and there are no promises made or demanded. There is a long, silent leaning together, the young man's head tired and heavy against the Jack's shoulder.

He Challenges to Ten in unarmed combat. He's taller now than Julien had been when, years ago, he'd watched the man do just the same. He's not intimidating in the same way, he's certain, but he's got a definite solid strength in his shoulders now.

For the first time since he arrived, he invites Julien directly to attend.

The Challenge itself doesn't last long. The old Ten is taken down with a fluid sort of efficiency, held to the ground a few beats after victory is declared in favour of the challenger. There isn't a huge amount of blood to be cleaned up, but Aleksei submits to the half-affectionate attentions of the butler before moving to find the one person he had genuinely wanted here today.

[Rui Ninomiya opens the front door with the spare keys that have been entrusted to him. Nobody seems to be in the house. He enters, stepping out his high heeled boots and setting them aside to put in the slippers. Nothing too fashionable but he has to get used to be a guest until his aunt and her family moves in with him. It's a pain, after his parents' passing last year, he was thinking in living on his own once he ceases the drifting around in his relatives houses.

I guess it's inevitable one of them adopted me, he thinks resigned, turning on the light of the empty house. It'd have been easy for him to hack his legal information to name him his own legal guardian with power over his belongings, but his aunt has wept so much and her husband was a member of the police. Like a mid boss stage character he can't beat. He guesses it's not bad to have a family again.
