First Meeting
Rules:
01. Post your character, fandom and preference.
02. Go to RNG, roll and tag others. Since this is a first meeting meme, tag characters your character has never met. If you’re tagging characters you already RP with, then it defeats the purpose of this meme.
03. Tag at least ONE muse per muse you post. If you don't, then it's not fair to those who do tag around. Let's make these memes fair for everyone. If you have no intention of tagging at least one muse, then please don't respond.
04. DON'T FORGET TO LOOP YOUR THREADS! <3
05. Have fun!
01. At A Bar: You’re out with your friends, or maybe by yourself, and someone catches your eye. Don’t be shy! Go say hi, or give them a cheesy pickup line.
02. Grocery Store: Maybe the both of you are eying the same frozen dinner, or maybe you’re both grabbing for the same apple. Whatever the case, chat them up!
03. Laundromat: Whoops! Did you just drop your panties/boxers on the floor? Don’t worry! There’s a friendly stranger there to help you pick them up, or maybe just look awkward and blush a lot.
04. Blind Date: Your friend thinks you need a life so they’ve set you up on a date!
05. A Long Line: Both of you are stuck next to each other in a long line. Strike up a conversation!
06. Work: Maybe your cubicles are next to each other’s, or maybe you work in the same building. Or, maybe you’re a delivery person, delivering something to the other person.
07. Public Transportation: Subway, bus, train, airplane. Whatever the case, you’re now sitting next to this person.
08. Jail: You’ve both been put in the same cell (let’s just pretend there are coed cells), and now you have nothing but time to chat.
09. Wildcard: Pick whatever you want!

[OOC: Muselist.] -- Specify which character you want when responding.
not open to smut, should that need saying as well.
Warnings: slow tagbacks and thread-drops have a strong chance of being a thing. I'll try to be prompt, but the musetank's been deadish as of late.
I am open to all of the listed prompts.
Zoisite | Sailor Moon (anime)
Rinoa Heartilly | Final Fantasy VIII | OTA
01 + 08.
Rinoa didn't have to dress in a way that hid any feature and she certainly didn't look like she could bust you up (though it would be a lie to say she couldn't, if push came to shove). Just a nice girl in a bar chatting up a few people... while secretly looking for information on the new Galbadian government. Nothing too strange, really.
Quistis properly arrives an hour or so into the evening, slipping onto a stool a space away from her. She orders herself a somewhat unladylike whiskey sour (with a stirring straw, which she sips from). Ten, fifteen minutes later, she turns vaguely toward Rinoa with a plastic smile and laughs. ]
Looks like we're the only ladies here. I imagine we won't have to pay for a single drink.
MATHILDA ( leon the professional )
no subject
He turns a corner and moves to duck behind some boxes and nearly trips over the girl.] ... what are you doing here?
no subject
The answer to his question is hiding. Thinking. Mathilda has a habit of being alone with her thoughts - they're just about the best company she can find, when she isn't idly sitting away an entire day watching cartoons or doing her chores. Whenever she gets a little freedom, she uses it intellectually. Sometimes physically, too, when she practices what Leon taught her all those months ago - working out, remembering his rules. They are his legacy. They are what's left of him in this world.
(That, and his love. The plant that now grows roots in the school's garden.)
That would have been the truthful answer to his question, but this is Mathilda, and she only answers straight and true when she wants to.]
Who wants to know?
no subject
He opens his mouth to reply to her question, but at that moment a laser is shot from around the corner, hitting some barrels a few meters away from them. Explosion, great, wonderful. He really would rather not be that barrel right now. After he looks around the corner briefly, he beckons for her to get up.]
The man who's going to save your life. [A small little shrug as if he doesn't really care.] Unless you want to stay here, which really is your choice but I wouldn't advise it.

But tomorrow is her day off, and so she's decided that she can be a little bit irresponsible just tonight.
Not that she's actually being irresponsible at all since she has no obligations in the morning and she's still more or less sober whilst her friends are getting progressively more merry with every round of drinks, but it's the thought that counts?
They all agreed earlier in the evening that they'd rather go somewhere they could talk rather than dance, and so they ended up in this rather comfy pub where there is actually a live band playing something that kind of sounds like folk music but it's not so loud that you can't hear yourself think.
Sigrid thinks she'd much rather dance to that than what's usually played in clubs, but she also thinks she might need another drink or so before she dares giving it a try. Possibly a bad idea though since she's wearing high heels for the first time in forever and feels rather a lot like Bambi on ice whenever she needs to move anywhere.
Especially a questionable idea since That Guy might see her then.
Yes, That Guy. The one she's been eyeing on and off the whole evening. There's just something about him, she can't stop. Her friends keep telling her to go over and say hi, but she just shakes her head and tries to focus on what they are talking about. It works for about thirty seconds before her eyes are sliding back to him again.
Damn it, Sig, pull yourself together. You're the level-headed and tough one, remember?
At least the little blue dress she's wearing looks pretty good on her. Well, she hopes it does. Please say it looks good on her. ]

Their table is definitely the most crowded in the place, probably the loudest too, and louder as the night goes on, still most people don't seem that bothered by them. Some of his friends are the first to stand up and dance to the band's songs, already warmed by all the drinks they've had, but Fili sits on the table for now, in the company of another two as they laugh and cheer on their friends who dance and sing so happily.
He's not much aware of being watched throughout the night, mostly because he's distracted, but his friends don't seem to have much trouble pointing it out to him, and he looks over his shoulder and at the girl who apparently had been steadily stealing glances at him.
He looks slightly confused at first - did she know him, maybe? He hardly thinks he could forget a face like that - but finally he waves tentatively at her before even thinking of going over. Her friends are still sitting right next to her after all.
And oh yes, the dress looks great on her.]
no subject
But he was waving, so maybe that was a good sign? After a brief and somewhat frantic whispered consultation with the nearest friend, Sigrid turns back around and waves at him in turn. She even manages to smile.
I can't do this. He is way too hot.
She is so way out of her comfort zone that it's not even funny right now. It's a lot easier to be tough and strong and dependable and practical when one is in one's own element and not suddenly feeling a strange need to impress a total stranger.
Wearing sensible shoes also usually helps. ]

But now they were out on the town, enjoying their drinks in the crowded bar. Clayton had spotted a hot twenty something by the bar not long after and managed to slip off to chat him up; which left the other three holding down the table.
"I'm not saying I object to gay bars," Jeremy was saying, sitting up a little taller as he spoke. "I just have a hard time finding the few straight girls that come in here- and I also end up questioning my sexuality sometimes. Because lets face it, there are some damn pretty boys in here, and I get so confused."
Hadyn laughed, lifting his beer to his lips as Max prattled on about how the Jeremy couldn't find a hook up even if they went into a bar full of straight girls. He had to admit he'd really missed his friends.
"You're just jealous-" Jeremy started, before Max busted out laughing.
"It's the hair," Hadyn chimmed in finally. "He just wishes he had your hair."
The two started arguing again, and Hadyn took his cue to first hit the bathroom and then the bar for another beer. Sliding up, he waved the bartender down and ordered the three beers and just...waited.

Still, he was there, and he cut through the crowds to get the pair of them a couple of stiff drinks at the bar. He almost didn't see the other person standing in front of the bartender, nearly elbowed him before he glanced over.
Chicago was a small city sometimes. "Hey there," he said. "Didn't expect to see you this far uptown."
no subject
And honestly, he didn't live that far away.
"I think you're the more surprising sight anyway. Never pegged you for the....picking up strangers in the bar type." Well, sort of. Picking up strangers wasn't entirely far fetched.

...You might want to find alternative seating, but it's pretty cramped in here.]

When Tendou stepped into the bus he walked through the aisle as if he owned the gosh darn thing (which he did because the world centered around him, or so his Grandma said).
He barely gives a glance to Ruby when spotting the only available seat and proceeded to sit, paying no mind while making himself comfortable, followed by the cross of his own arms.
Wow he sure was claiming that seat, no matter who he was sitting next to.]

Oh wow, this is awkward. Did he hear her talking mumbling to her scythe? Did he think she was crazy? He probably thought she was crazy.]
