The sound of the waves washing in and out, the warmth of the sun as it shined down upon you, the smell of the ocean in the air. A trip to the Beach could always be fun and relaxing. Maybe you want to join a game of Beach volleyball or head out in the ocean and swim? There is always the option of catching a wave or two if you know how to surf. And if you don’t know how? Maybe you want to learn.

There are quite a few activities you can do while you are at the Beach. Though sometimes nothing beats just laying down and relaxing in the sun. But don’t forget to put on sunscreen to protect your skin! And for those hard to reach places, why not ask for a little helping hand.

Huh?

[Rin shifts a little on his feet. Wh-what are you doing, Makoto. Stop it.]

Th-that's your food, you know. That I got for you. So... it's fine.

[L-LOOKS AWAY]

[He's just offering food. Don't be so ~~tsun-tsun~~ suspicious.]

I know, but -- I figured you might want some... You seemed hungry.

[But no matter, Makoto won't push it. He'll nibble on his food and chew thoughtfully.]

Are you sure?

[So tsunspicious of you right now, Makoto.]

I wasn't that hungry.

[said as he literally finishes off the rest of his yakitori like a championship eater. And as tempting as it is, Rin shakes his head before nudging Makoto with his shoulder. H-hmph.]

I'm fine.

[But it's all so tsun-dden!]

All right, if you say so. But if you should change your mind...

[Makoto's not done with his serving and he's not eating any more of it (for now), but he's going to keep holding onto it, just in case. And he'll nudge Rin back, thank you very much.]

Where to, next?

[He so badly wants to tsunwim away now.

But, no. No, he'll just go nudging you right back.]

Huh? Oh. Um...

[Rin glances out at the beach again where he can see their friends still calmly bobbing about in the water... or at least two of them are; from the looks of things Nagisa's taking the opportunity to splash Rei instead. Typical. As much as Rin kind of sort of maybe wants to join them, he also doesn't want to leave Makoto alone, so he looks away down the boardwalk.]

... We can look into some of these shops, maybe.

Rin.

[Makoto doesn't bother with glancing down the boardwalk at the line of shops; he does follow Rin's gaze toward the beach, though. He's not quite adept at reading him as he is Haru, but he can recognize longing when he sees it.]

You don't have to, you know. I'll be fine in the water.

[A-ah... has he been found out? Slowly he turns back to look at Makoto again, his expression a bit uncertain.]

Are you sure? I mean-- I'm not forcing you or anything.

I know you're not and I'm quite sure, Rin. As long as I'm with you.

[Of course, by "you" he means all of them. Not just Rin himself. But he's not about to notice such wordings now, anyways.]

[Makoto really needs to stop doing this before Rin's head explodes.

He doesn't say anything for a while, mostly because he's too busy mulling over Makoto's word choice there, but eventually after clearing his throat and probably huffier than intended,]

Well... fine, then!

[He starts walking off towards the beach again, but then suddenly turns right back around, finger pointed at the other boy.]

But if you're really covering your ass for our sake, then don't. Ok?

I'm not, I'm not, I promise!

[And laughing with a wince, Makoto hurries to catch up with Rin on the sand path back towards the beach.]

I want to swim with you all now, I really do.

[He still feels awfully suspicious about this, but Rin doesn't argue further and instead keeps walking on towards the water.]

... Though we should probably wait a little while otherwise we'll get cramps.

[Oops. That's what he gets for eating.]

That's a good idea.

[And it sounds more like something Makoto himself would suggest.]

I need to touch up the sunblock anyway.

[Shut up, mom.]

Nn, you look pretty tan, now that you mention it.

[Maybe. He's more or less guessing and it could just be a trick of the light, but he swears Makoto looks even a little bit darker than he did a few hours ago. They don't exactly have an umbrella up by the beach towels to stay cool (and pale) under.

Though speaking of which... don't mind him as he tries to tug a little at his swim trunks to see if he's any darker too.]

[Take that back, young man. Or else.]

I guess so...

[Makoto more or less mirrors Rin's actions, tugging at the waistband of his trunks and peering down to see if he did, in fact, get a little darker. Thankfully (or perhaps not), Makoto's not like Nagisa and won't try to compare tanlines with him. But he does glance over at him, making sure to keep his eyes at level with Rin's.]

Guilty here.

[Or else what?]

At least it's not a sunburn.

[Upon glancing up, Rin sees Makoto looking back at him and tenses up a bit. Wh-what. What is it? Don't look at me like that. Huffing, he starts heading over towards the beach blankets again.]

W-well... hurry up and do what you have to do then!

[Or else you'll get this look.]

Okay, I will. It'll be just a minute.

[He has to put on the sunblock okay. He glances away from Rin to focus on his task though he has that knowing smile on his face the entire time.]

You can go on ahead, you know. You don't have to stand there the entire time. Unless...

[And he'll just leave it at that.]
