In nature, animals can be territorial. This makes sense; it's a cutthroat world, and you have to keep what's yours just to survive. They keep a close watch on lands, food supplies, and even sometimes mates. Pet owners can tell you that this instinct doesn't just go away - try getting that chew toy from your poodle. But what about people? Aren't we just animals, too? But for us, possessiveness is not a good social trait to have. That's understandable. Nobody likes someone so hung up on owning things. Especially not owning their lovers, since you can't simply have another person like that.

Yet even the most benign, most monkish of souls have possessive streaks at some moments when it comes to the person they're sleeping with. It's only natural. Usually, it comes from jealousy. You like having what's yours (even if it's a cruel way to think about things, that's the reptile brain peeking through), and you'd want it to stay that way. That means you want to show up the competition and remind the object of your desires that you're the apple of their eye. Of course, possessiveness doesn't always come from jealousy. Some people are just very, very...how do we say it...protective of them and theirs. How can they help that they want to show that in intimate ways?

In relationships, possessiveness throughout isn't healthy; still, a little bit of it can be actually arousing, especially in the bedroom. Today, the hotel is awakening that side of characters: the part that wants to screw their partner mercilessly to show them that they are the ones to touch them, to love them, to fuck them.

But my character isn't the possessive type, you say? Really? Really? As we've mentioned before, even the most kindhearted types feel it every once and a while. This meme never mentioned that it had to be a HUGE show of possession. It can even be a playful attempt in order to get their partner going or try a new kink in bed. Or, you could say the "influences" made them do it.

After all, there's plenty of prompts here to influence you.

HOW TO PLAY
- Comment with your character and preferences. You also may want to include if your character is more or less likely to be the possessive or jealous party, but please note that all characters have the potential to be that in this meme. Otherwise, you'd get a lot of passive pillow queen characters to be fawned over so be mindful of that.

2. Insecurity: There's no outside source here, only self-worth issues that cause a need for possession.

surely, he's made a reputation for himself at the Academy. but that was back before they gave him the Enterprise, that was before he had any sort of control or command. he knows just as well as most that sleeping with your crew (at least, if it was known) is something frowned upon. never mind that his first officer reminds him of such a fact every single time anything even borders on flirtation.

With so many things done and dusted, fixed and repaired, and certain people brought back to a certain village - things were decidedly 'good'. Better than good.

It gave him more time to think about things. Like how Konoha looked so beautiful in the spring, and how cute the children playing in the park were, and how frustrating that pile of work on his desk was in comparison.

Okay, so things could have been a lot better - but he was Hokage now, and that came with privileges of it's own. Perhaps taking three days off without putting any thing in place whilst he was gone had been a bad idea, but the time had been well used. He was relaxed, ready to work, and yet still chatting idly with Shikamaru.

They'd grown close since the war, Naruto found it easy to acknowledge him as the great mastermind that he was, and they'd managed to overcome so many obstacles together. Pretty much everyone knew everyone else, so why there was some guy across the other side of the room, so casually eyeing Leah up whilst he spoke with her, touching her arm like that, flirting, whilst he was right there was beyond him.

He let it happen until he couldn't stand it any more, and in one fluid motion he'd tipped back the rest of his drink, set the glass down rather firmly if the looks he got were anything to go by and started his stride across to Leah.

Batgirl and Harley Quinn had been flirting across the rooftops for a while, Barbara never forgetting that Harley was possibly the smartest of her foes. There'd even been a few teasing kisses, and then a few with tongue. And then the meeting before last Barbara had made a low and teasing joke that Harley would have to capture her if she wanted more. Which ... might have been a mistake.

Last night Batgirl had walked into a trap. It hadn't taken long - Barbara wasn't expecting the chloroform, and Harley, because she was actually trying, held the rag long enough for Barbara to pass out rather than feign passing out.

In the few seconds between her waking up and Harley noticing, she'd noticed a few things. She'd been stripped from the neck down, but her cowl was untouched. She'd also had a few things added; ballet boots, locked thumbless mittens, and a collar and leash. Possibly a shock collar. She was spreadeagled, but hadn't yet tried to move so didn't know if she was restrained. And the first thing she saw when she opened her eyes to a candle-lit room was a Harley, grinning like the cat who caught the canary.
