How it works:
1. Post with your character, with their name | canon and any preferences in the subject line
2. Someone else tags you. Congratulations, those characters are now on a road trip together! To where? Who cares! We only care about the journey here
3. Go to the RNG and get a random number between 1 and 15 to pick your scenario, or combine numbers or make up your own
4. ???
5. ROAD TRIP STYLED PROFIT!

Scenarios:
1: LOST You should have made a left turn at Albuquerque, or maybe you've been holding the map upside down this whole time! Whatever it is, you're hopelessly LOST. Will you make it back on the path to your destination, or will you find a new adventure? Try not to open any hatches.

2: Tourist Trap Okay, you're all for seeing the sights, but World's Biggest Doorstopper? World's Smallest Chicken? World's Noisiest Whistle? Do we really have to stop here, too?

3: Car Trouble Maybe you got a flat tire. Maybe your engine's stalled. Or maybe you just overestimated how far you could get on a half tank of gas. Either way, you're broke down on the side of the road and the nearest station is miles away; better get behind it and push!

4: Bad Weather Driving in the rain? No problem. Driving in torrential downpours or a blinding blizzard? Big problem! Better find a way to get out of the storm fast!

5: When Ya Gotta Go... Didn't I tell you to go before we left? Well, even if you did, maybe you shouldn't have had that 44 ounce Super Big Gulp, because there's not another rest stop for miles. Maybe you can find an empty bottle in the back...

6: Road Delays Stuck in traffic? Stuck at road construction? Stuck in a funeral procession? Bridge out? Whatever it is, it's blocking your way. Do you wait patiently, or maybe find your own way around it.

7: Smokey and the Bandit Oh no, those blue lights behind you can't be good. Maybe you should just pull over and accept your speeding ticket like a decent citizen. Or, maybe you should floor it. High speed chase anyone?

8: Night Driving You decided to drive through the night, and now it's one AM and you're all out of coffee. Wake up a friend and make them help you stay awake; falling asleep at the wheel is dangerous!

9: Ghost Town Boy, this town sure is quiet. And... kind of creepy. Oh God, did something in those corn rows just move? I hear banjo music; DRIVE FASTER!

10: Roadkill Good going, you hit an animal. I sure hope you feel good about yourself. Now you've killed the poor- oh, it's still moving? What do we do now!?
      10a: The I Know What You Did Last Summer Edition That animal you hit was a little more human than you care for... oh          dear...

11: ROAD RAGE That jerk cut me off! How dare he!? I'll make him pay! Or maybe you cut off a less-than-friendly driver of your own, and now he's after you...

12: Carjacked Awww, that was a good lunch. ...Wait, I know this is where we parked... Dude, where's the car!?!?

13: Hitchhiking Who said you needed a car for a road trip? Stick that thumb out and catch a ride where you're going. Maybe you and a buddy are chillin' with the pigs in a trailer, or maybe that nice looking hitchhiker you picked up down the road is not as nice as you thought...

14: Fantasy Car Roads? Where you're going, you don't need roads. If you're in Doc's DeLorean, anyway. Or maybe the car is really Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Or a spy car. Or the Batmobile. Or a Transformer! Whatever it is, this car is NOT normal.

15: Obligatory Romance/Smut Option You're now parked in one of the make-out points in this town. Did you know? Well, that's up to you, as is what you do next.


16: Are We There Yet? Roller's choice! Pick your favorite option, or two, or three, or just roll with whatever feels right!

[ as far as demigod quest teams went, nico had given up on understanding the logic behind sending annabeth, frank, and himself on one. that is, if anyone assumed that prophecies generally held any kind of logic to them at all. sense or not, it had been surprisingly explicit about who was meant to embark on it — which had been even more confusing as nico wasn't exactly the quest-going type.

the funny thing about prophecies was that they had a way of going exactly as planned, even against all odds. it's how nico finds himself grudgingly climbing into the back of a dusty toyota, which looked as if it shouldn't even be holding together, let alone cruising down the interstate; apparently, they had leo to thank for that little miracle as he'd managed to make a few adjustments and improvements to the car's design ( and never again would nico wonder what it'd be like if cars suddenly had the capability to grow wings and take off into the air to shake off a monster in pursuit ).

the quest, for what it was in comparison to the past, was relatively simple. their lives as demigods, however, were not. it seemed that being a beacon for all sorts of trouble didn't stop simply because one had managed to take down every kind of creature imaginable in the past. the last attack — stymphalian birds that tried to pierce their skin with razor sharp beaks — had been particularly brutal. nico can still feel the cuts on his body, but they're nothing in comparison to the feeling of dread that'd overcome him when one of the birds had latched onto frank and disappeared.

now it's just him and annabeth, braving the dry arizona heat, as they attempt to manually push the car forwards. a gas station isn't anywhere in sight and neither is any sign that might direct them towards civilization. and while nico doesn't think of himself as bitter, he can't help but wonder why out of all the demigods to be stuck with, it had to be annabeth? not that he'd ever say that out loud — which is a courtesy that doesn't extend to other complaints as nico finally slumps forward and snaps irritably: ]

We're lost.

[They're sharing the driving pretty evenly, which is fine by Steph, especially when it means she gets to nap in the backseat when it isn't her turn behind the wheel. It's not the comfiest place to sleep, but not the worst, either, and this way they can drive for a lot longer before they need to crash in a motel.

What Steph wants to know is why she's being woken up when it's only half way through Allison's driving shift, but as soon as the other girl asks her to take a look outside because isn't this kind of creepy, she has to agree.]

[ When Santana gets cut off while she's driving (why did he think it would be a good idea to let her drive...), he really shouldn't think she'll let the guy get away with it. But Sam can be naive sometimes, so he figures Santana is over it after she has her little rant.

Except rather than continue to follow the navigator's voice from the google map directions on his phone, Santana completely deviates.

Sam looks back at the turning she blatantly missed on purpose, then turns to look at Santana with a frown of confusion. ]

What the hell are you doing? [ Santana's up to something, Sam can feel it, and the car in front of them looks weirdly familiar-- ] Oh my god, are you following the guy who cut us off?
