Do you want to be the very best, like no one ever was? Well, what do you even want to be the best at? There's so much to do in the beautiful Pokémon world... where do you begin? Which Pokémon world do you begin in?

RULES:
◓Tag the post with your character, defining what they are. Use RNG or select what you like. (It is okay to select several options for anyone replying to chose, simply clarify in your comment)
◓Reply to someone else! If they're a trainer, perhaps be their rival or a gym leader they have to face. If they're a breeder, be a customer interested in leveling up your Pokémon. Cross the streams, interract within the world of Pokémon!

A: Core Universe

01. Trainer's Journey: You're roaming the land, seeing the sights, and raising a team of Pokémon! Are you going for the championship? Or are you someone's extremely obnoxious rival? (Or both?)
02. Team ___: You're going to rule the world, one way or another - might as well beat up this punk and take their Pokémon, right?
03. Gym Leader/Elite Four: You're a stepping stone on every trainer's pursuit of the championship, and a representative for your Gym's town/city/etc.
04. Professor: What are you researching? And are you taking another professor to go along, being heckled by some ruffians, or did you bring a young trainer to escort you?
05. Breeder: You raise other trainers' Pokémon with love and attention. You also have to tell a bunch of kids about the eggs that appear when they leave a compatible pair of Pokémon behind...
06. Battle Facilities: The Frontier, the Subway, the Institute... you are a major trainer in one of these facilities, and you organize a great challenge for only the strongest trainers.
07. Coordinator: Contests! Dressing up Pokémon, raising them to use their attacks beautifully or toughly or cutely. I hear that wimpy ol' Unova just has them dance, the silly westerners.
08. Underground: Dig, dig, dig! Set those traps! Make a base! It's a competitive game, one you can do without Pokémon. You just have to be willing to get a little dirty!
09. PokéAthlon: Train hard! Get your Pokémon team set up for speed, for strength, for competition!! And get in there yourself, time's wasting!
10. Dream World: Whoa, this place is... strange. Wait, of course, it's a dream! So why did you wake up with a few less berries and a new Pokémon waiting for you...?
11. PokéStar Studios: Film a movie, with you and your Pokémon! Although, be willing to accept that your film is probably going to be rather Bollywood... but hey, maybe you'll sign some autographs!
12. Sightseeing: Going to the Ruins of Alph? Hiking through Mt. Coronet? Looking at the strange rocks in Geosenge Town? There's a lot of beautiful landmarks in the Pokémon world to see with friends, family, and loved ones! Don't forget to take pictures!

01. Mystery Dungeon: Suddenly, you are a Pokémon! But... that's okay, right? Now you can go help (or harm) your fellow Pokémon as explorers or rescuers.
02. Snap: You don't actually own any Pokémon, you take professional photography. Maybe you'll sneak some pictures of a trainer's Pokémon, or hire a buddy to take pictures with you on the track at Pokémon Island.

[Oh, is that flattery she hears? Well, now...maybe this pathetic, weak lump of flesh and spiky hair isn't quite so bad after all. Perona sure does enjoy getting a few kind words thrown at her, even if it's from the dimwitted. Whatever she can get she gladly takes, as is her way. Chuckling airily as her Teddiursa gives the young man a judgmental look up and down - gross is its silent verdict - Perona takes a few steps past.]

You're pretty good at giving compliments...but I hope it's not because I could beat you black and blue for taking time away from my only day off in weeks. Bearsy-kun doesn't seem to think you're being at all sincere. [Shifting her pokemon in her arms, the little cub lets a tiny growl rumble low in its throat, then looks up at his master and cries. Can we go now? ): He wants to get a massage and treats and new toys!]

Well, it's not because of that, but I sure know you can! Hahahaha! Sorry for taking away from the Princess's day off! I'll get out of your way, but let me know if there's anything else I can do to make up for it!

[Otherwise Vash is going to get out of the way.]

[...Oh, Vash, you dimwit. You just sealed your fate then and there. Give this girl an inch and she'll take an ocean's length. Raising one thin, pink brow, the young woman's smile curls at the corners, and her Mismagius looks shocked for a second before just shaking its head. Yes, it knows its master's ways and feels kind of sorry for the poor guy. Ah well, nothing it can do...]

Is that right? Maah, that's very gentlemanly of you... Very well, you can make up for my lost time by helping me do some shopping for my cute little pokemon. Come. [Waving him after, she heads off in the direction of the next city, where the massive skyline looms.]

[Vash is actually okay with being ordered around by a pretty girl all day!]

Yes, Princess ma'am! [He follows behind excitedly.] Anything to help my sweet Princess! I am but a humble servant!

[Excellent, because she is indeed going to boss you around all day and enjoy every second. Princess indeed - more like tyrant queen. Peron's smile only grows at his unabashed willingness to subject himself to her whims, and an airy chuckle breaks free from her lips. Ah, how nice it is to find a packmule while out...it's so refreshing.]

Servant, eh? That's good, I'm without my normal ones today. You're not nearly as cute as my pokemon that'd help me, but they're all being tended to right now...so I'll have to make do. [She keeps walking, moving some of her hair over her shoulder.] But call me Perona. Princess is my title, but it gets tiring if I hear it too often...

[It gets worn out.]

Yes, Perona-ma'am! I'll call you whatever you like! [Vash follows Perona just a couple steps behind like a puppy.] And you can call your servant whatever you'd like Perona! Servant, spot, or you can call me Vash too! Whatever it makes you happy to call me!

[Should he have given a fake name? It could be bad if someone in town thinks he is part of that Team Gun-ho Guns. Eh, he hasn't been in this town yet. It's probably fine! Probably.]

[Oh, Vash you fool. You poor, poor, stupid fool. Perona's a smart girl, and keeps u with the goings-on of the world around her. She enjoys being caught up on all sorts of information, and thus she reads newspapers, magazines, and watches news shows religiously to be as well-informed as she can be. The name is one she recognizes, and one brow raises up, her eyes narrowing slightly.]

[Hm, what if she brought this idiot in? Was there a bounty on his head? Probably not because the idiotic authorities don't do things like that, the lazy tarts, but it'd at least boost her popularity and fame as a gym leader...and she could rake in stupid challengers she can mop the floor with then rob them blind of their pocketbooks, or reap some donations for her gym's upkeep and stuff.

Better yet, she could also make the imbecile a decent pack mule before turning him in! Double bonus!!]

Yeah, I did! Or at least, that's the name my mom gave to me. Do you not like it? I could be called something else if you prefer!

[Actually for once in a blue moon there is a bounty on this man's head. Nothing crazy like sixty billion, but the fact that there is one is pretty amazing still.

Yet, does Vash really look like a master mind behind a team as scary as the Gun-ho Guns? Sleeping in the middle of the road and being crushed by his own Pokemon? Willingly being a pack mule and offering to be called spot? If you're wrong and try to turn in someone who just happens to share the same name what would you do then!?]

[At least until Perona decides if it's even worth the trouble to give him a nickname. If the idiot's really a criminal and she's going to turn him in, then it's not worth it...but who knows? Perona's been known to just throw out names to her servants and acquaintances on the fly. She's never been the most, er...accommodating person. It's a marvel she was even allowed to be a gym leader herself, really.

Waving him to follow, as well as her pokemon out from its pokeball, she keeps moving. Ugh, she should have brought her Drifblim...walking is so tiring! And she's going to ruin her boots and get all gross and sweaty and--blech! And her little Noibat is much too small to carry her. Besides, he was still just a youngster, the newest addition to her team. ...Or pets, really, she wouldn't expect the little thing to do battle right away.]

Have you got a pokemon that can carry me? I dislike walking long distances... Make sure it's something cute!

I have a Tauros that I sometimes ride on long journeys. Would he be cute enough?

[A Tauros? He wants a classy, refined, and beautiful woman like her to ride on the back of a Tauros?]

...Are you kidding? [PLEASE SAY YOU'RE KIDDING.]

Well, I think he can be pretty cute. Um, but he's the only one I have big enough to ride. Well, him and Snorlax, but you're not going to get very far on top of Doitzel.

[Perona snorts at the comment about cute, not even trying to hide it. A brawny, snorting, coarse pokemon like that? How in the world could someone think that's cute?! Cute pokemon should be small, soft, and have big eyes and pink noses! Or dripping fangs, leathery wings, and glowing eyes...according to Perona's preference, at least.

She looks unsure for a second, weighing the choice heavily in her mind, her face screwed up in thought. Ugh...she doesn't want to walk, but she doesn't want to be seen riding such a distasteful pokemon, either! What's worse, then? Ruining her shoes or ruining her image?

That's a no-brainer.]

I'm sorry to have failed my master! OOH! What if I carried you!?

Hah! [Whoops, she meant to keep that burst of laughter to herself. Oh, well.] You'll have to get through Bearsy to do that...

[Perona picks up her Teddiursa (who happens to also be sporting a striped hat with horns), holding the small cub in her arms. His once cute, bored look has changed into a vicious snarl, lips curled over a row of small but very sharp teeth. He's no ghost, but he's one of Perona's gym pokemon - her toughest one, actually.]

He's rather...overprotective of me.

[Vash smiles and shows his empty hands to Teddiursa.] Alright. That's fine! And who could blame anyone for wanting to protect someone as important as you! He must love you a whole lot!

[Vash lets his arms fall to his sides as he follows behind Perona towards the town.]

To tell you the truth. My Jolteon can act the same way sometimes. [He knows the pokemon means well, but he really wishes it wasn't so quick to fight sometimes.]

[The small bear rumbles another growl, looking non too impressed with the compliments, but scrunches up its eyes when Perona makes a sound of agreement and hugs her adorable pokemon tight, snuggling against his fur. Yes, they're quite close - she's had the little guy since she was young, and he's stuck by her side through her journey as a trainer and a gym leader.]

He's very important to me. [And for the first time yet, Perona's smile is actually honest and genuine, as she cuddles her dearest pokemon, but looks up at the mention of Vash's.] Eeh, y-you have a Jolteon?

[Ahhhh, the Eevee line and its evolutions were among her favorites! Especially Umbreon and the newest type....what was it called again? Oh, but a Jolteon...with it's glossy eyes, twitchy nose, and those dastardly spikes that can be fired like hundreds and thousands of needles~! How darling. ♥]

Haha, yeah! I do! Although, he's not always the friendliest types... [He reaches into his pocket to fish out Jolteon's pokeball.] But we can see how friendly he's feeling today!

[And out pops his Jolteon. At first the pokemon scans the area, use to his trainer being in some sort of trouble and-- oh... it's a girl. Great. He was being used in an attempted "chick magnet" as his trainer liked to call it.

Yet, if Jolteon was being completely honest with himself he didn't mind being used this way too much. The girls were usually good at finding that spot behind his left ear he liked to have scratched!]

[Oh, sweet, darling, precious babyyyy~! ♥ Placing her Teddiursa down (much to the small cub's indignation), Perona kneels to greet the Jolteon. Oh, look how rugged it is with those lovely spikes that could pierce flesh...and those large, bat-like ears, the gloss in its eyes, the way it points up its spines to make itself look bigger and more intimidating...hrrrgh!]

Aaahn, cuuutiiie~! What a beautiful pokemon you are! [She coos, reaching out to pet him oh-so-nicely on the head. If there's one thing Perona's gentle and overly delicate towards, it's cute pokemon. She treats them far better than any person she knows.] I love Eevee and its evolutions...they're so handsome...but you're especially nice, aren't you? Oh yes, you're a very nice, good boy.

[Aaand there it is, a scratch right behind those ears.] Ehe, are you being well tended to? Does this big imbecile take good care of you? How could anyone not treat such an adorable thing like you with care, eeh? If he doesn't, I'm going to torment him until he begs for mercy... ♥

[He's so happy she isn't talking in baby talk to him. It's so embarrassing when that happens! To top it off she finds that spot really quick and Jolteon just melts into the love and attention. Vash can't help but to grin happily at the way his pokemon is behaving.]

Of course I take good care of my pokemon! We're buddies, aren't we Tongari? [This is usually the part where his Jolteon would give a proud: Jolt! But it's too busy enjoy his pampering to respond.] Hahaha, Tongari? [A little lower, lower, ahhhhhhhhhhhh! Perfect!]

[She isn't baby talking him yet. Usually Perona reserves that for when she's buttering up her own pokemon, or for when she's visiting an especially cute or vicious-looking pokemon. Or one of her personal favorites. Really, this is just the tip of the iceberg, she may delve deeper into her adoration if time permits.

Though she does make kissy faces at the Jolteon, giggling quietly at his reaction to all her scratching and pets. What a cutiepie!!]

I always wanted an Eevee...but they're hard to come by unless you have one caught and sent over from Kalos. [Which is fucking expensive.] Having an Umbreon...o-or a darling Sylveon would be heavenly~! O-Or a complete set of them all! Eyaah, how perfect would that be if I had a full set of all the evolutions to greet me everyday~? If only a ghost type were to be discovered next, I think I'd die.

[Hearing Vash's voice only as muffled background noise, Perona turns her head sideways and...oh. Right, he's still here. With a sigh, she stops lavishing Vash's Jolteon and stands up and dusts off her clothes.]

Come on, I've wasted enough time as it is. When we get to the city, I'll treat your cute pokemon to a good meal - I know a place that serves high quality food for pokemon.

[Vash just chuckles as he listens to Perona go on and on about Eevees and watches his Jolteon melt. He always liked being able to give his pokemon special attention when he could.

In fact...]

Do you hear that, Tongari? I hope you'll be nice and thank the kind lady for doing that for you! And maybe you could share some of it with Vulpix and Bellossom. I'm sure they'd like some too!

[He drops the nicknames for a moment. Testing to see what Perona would think of his other two pokemon. Getting them a free meal would be awesome too. He'll have to find a way to make it up to his other three, but treating three is easier than five out of his rather limited funds!]
