Do you want to be the very best, like no one ever was? Well, what do you even want to be the best at? There's so much to do in the beautiful Pokémon world... where do you begin? Which Pokémon world do you begin in?

RULES:
◓Tag the post with your character, defining what they are. Use RNG or select what you like. (It is okay to select several options for anyone replying to chose, simply clarify in your comment)
◓Reply to someone else! If they're a trainer, perhaps be their rival or a gym leader they have to face. If they're a breeder, be a customer interested in leveling up your Pokémon. Cross the streams, interract within the world of Pokémon!
◓Don't be afraid to list what Pokémon you own... or what Pokémon you have become.

A: Core Universe

01. Trainer's Journey: You're roaming the land, seeing the sights, and raising a team of Pokémon! Are you going for the championship? Or are you someone's extremely obnoxious rival? (Or both?)
02. Team ___: You're going to rule the world, one way or another - might as well beat up this punk and take their Pokémon, right?
03. Gym Leader/Elite Four: You're a stepping stone on every trainer's pursuit of the championship, and a representative for your Gym's town/city/etc.
04. Professor: What are you researching? And are you taking another professor to go along, being heckled by some ruffians, or did you bring a young trainer to escort you?
05. Breeder: You raise other trainers' Pokémon with love and attention. You also have to tell a bunch of kids about the eggs that appear when they leave a compatible pair of Pokémon behind...
06. Battle Facilities: The Frontier, the Subway, the Institute... you are a major trainer in one of these facilities, and you organize a great challenge for only the strongest trainers.
07. Coordinator: Contests! Dressing up Pokémon, raising them to use their attacks beautifully or toughly or cutely. I hear that wimpy ol' Unova just has them dance, the silly westerners.
08. Underground: Dig, dig, dig! Set those traps! Make a base! It's a competitive game, one you can do without Pokémon. You just have to be willing to get a little dirty!
09. PokéAthlon: Train hard! Get your Pokémon team set up for speed, for strength, for competition!! And get in there yourself, time's wasting!
10. Dream World: Whoa, this place is... strange. Wait, of course, it's a dream! So why did you wake up with a few less berries and a new Pokémon waiting for you...?
11. PokéStar Studios: Film a movie, with you and your Pokémon! Although, be willing to accept that your film is probably going to be rather Bollywood... but hey, maybe you'll sign some autographs!
12. Sightseeing: Going to the Ruins of Alph? Hiking through Mt. Coronet? Looking at the strange rocks in Geosenge Town? There's a lot of beautiful landmarks in the Pokémon world to see with friends, family, and loved ones! Don't forget to take pictures!

B: Side Titles

01. Mystery Dungeon: Suddenly, you are a Pokémon! But... that's okay, right? Now you can go help (or harm) your fellow Pokémon as explorers or rescuers.
02. Snap: You don't actually own any Pokémon, you take professional photography. Maybe you'll sneak some pictures of a trainer's Pokémon, or hire a buddy to take pictures with you on the track at Pokémon Island.
03. Hey You, Pikachu!: Pick up the apple! ...Pick up the apple. The apple-- PICK UP THE GOD DAMN APPLE
04. Conquest: Why stick to just Pokémon when you could also be a Samurai Warlord?
05. Ranger: No need to catch Pokémon. You just need to enlist them briefly to help you patrol for poachers and protect nature and wild Pokémon!
06. Adventures: Where being a Pokédex Holder is a huge deal, Legendary Pokémon often threaten the apocalypse, and the shounen power of the world is turned up to 11.

01. Nuzlocke: You come from a world where Pokémon are very likely to die in battle. There's no fainting.

[Ahem, regaining her composure, yeah let's do this. Perona can fine the little insect for what he did later...especially if she knocks out his party, too, heh heh.

Clearing her throat, she flips some hair over her shoulder and smirks. Gotta keep her cool, especially in the face of such a barbaric little nut like this. Though truth be told this challenger seemed a lot more bold and brass than some of the one's she's seen thus far. No one has ever been so stirred up by her gym that she actually punched someone in the nose.]

Were you scared? Horohorohoro, if you reacted so thoughtlessly against my trainers just because of fright, I wonder how you'll fare against my cute little ghosts! If you can't hold your spine in place, you shivering kitten, then maybe you ought to turn back now... [Her high-pitched, girly tone suddenly changes, and her voice lowers to a dark, serious one.] I can promise you I'm a thousand times more terrifying than anything you came across before coming here.

I--I wasn't scared, dumbass!

[He squares his shoulders and widens his stance, trying to look bigger than he is. He's the scion of the biggest criminal organization in Johto, he's not afraid of some weird, giggling ghost girl. After letting out a long, steadying breath, he selects a Pokeball from his belt. The smirk he grows as he tosses it up and down in his hand is calculated to irk.]

Are you done making threats you can't back up, or do you need a minute to get the willies out of your system? My baby sister's scarier than anything your little haunted house can throw at me.

[hollower]

[Ex-fucking-cuse you? Perona lifts a brow, then narrows her eyes slowly. What a petulant little shit this guy is, ugh! She's going to seriously enjoy when she mops the floor with him...and will do her damnedest to make absolutely sure he works to try and get this badge now. She's seen many rude or cocky trainers, but now she just wants to beat him all the more.]

You must be easily frightened, then... Let's begin; try not to cry. [Snapping her fingers, the candlelight suddenly flickers out to fill the room with complete darkness. After a moment, just one light begins to glow and sway...then a pair of beady eyes...and finally the lights begin to appear again, as a Lampent hovers in the air, crooning creepily.]

Kh...

[He balls his fist, glaring into the darkness until the lights finally come up again. A missing eye does not great night vision make. Keeping that trick in mind, he releases the Pokemon he's been tossing, one that won't be lost if she kills the lights again.]

O-Ren!

[His Crobat sails above his head.]

Use Confuse Ray now!

[hollower]

[Shit, a status afflicting move... At least she's got a strategy for it, and hopefully a damn good one. This just requires some decent timing.]

Trick, use Imprison! Quickly!

[The flickering flame in the Lampent's body blazes bright, as its eyes glow an eerie color, to match the purple flame burning in its body. Shrieking out a terrible wail, the ghostly pokemon raises its arms up as a red-purple stamp is pounded against the belly of Fuyuhiko's Crobat. If she's got the timing right, the Confuse Ray won't hit, since the two pokemon share the same move.]

Shit!

[Fuyuhiko's curse cuts over the Crobat's screech of frustration as her favorite move is blocked. She's already swooping forward, though, anticipating her trainer's next command.]

Poison Fang!

[O-Ren's teeth gleam sickly as she opens her mouth, swift and fierce.]

[hollower]

[This time, the hit lands dead on, and Perona squeaks with concern for her pokemon as it whines loudly in pain, the fire burning in its body flickering low to indicate the loss of its health. At the very least, her Lampent, Trick, doesn't sustain poison just yet. That's something to be thankful for.]

Oi, you shit! Hurting my cute ghost like that! Trick, teach that wicked creature a lesson - Flame Burst!

[Crooning its response, the Lampent's eyes glow red-hot, and the flame burning in its body blazes bright as it opens its mouth and shoots a molten orb of flame right at its adversary.]

[For all her speed, O-Ren can't get out of the way in time, and the Crobat lets out a shrill sound of pain as fire sears her right side and wings. She drops three feet before she recovers and bears herself aloft again, fangs gritted against the strain on her wings.]

Fuck, get out of there! Fly!

[O-Ren soars out of reach, ready to slice down when an opening presents itself. In the meantime, Fuyuhiko looks indignant.]

Hurting your Pokemon is the point, you stupid broad! Or are you retarded?!

[hollower]

[WOW FUCK THIS NOISE. Perona has had just about enough of this insolent little punk throwing curses and foul language her way, in her own gym of all places! This is going to land her in some serious shit with the League, but...well, what they don't know won't harm her reputation. Gym challengers oftentimes lie about things like this to get a gym shut down for not offering them a badge, and it's not like she sets up cameras or whatever in this place. Hehehe, so she can get away with a bit of trouble-making. ♥]

...Flame Burst, again.

[But this time she doesn't point at the opposing pokemon. Perona's finger is instead pointed at the challenging trainer. And, obediently, her Lampent fires its next shot at Fuyuhiko directly.]
