Interspecies Love Meme

Vampires and humans. Angels and demons. Ghosts and the living. The idea of "opposites attracting" is hardly a new one, but with the rise in popularity of supernatural creatures, aliens, and other sentient beings beyond our human understanding, the forbidden romance trope has been injected a shot of fresh blood- sometimes quite literally.

This meme does just that, taking the whole "not meant for each other" thing to it's most logical extreme. Of course, it's not always angst and depression. These days, mermaids and bird-people can have their relationships in peace to some degree.

Rules

Comment with your character, putting any preferences you have (ie, "humanoid characters only," F/M, etc). Also, be sure to note your character's "species" for others to reference (Name | Character | OTA | Human, ghost, mutant, alien, vampire, god, zombie-catgirl hybrid, etc).
Reply to others. If your characters aren't different species, feel free to AU or anything else like that.
Use the rng to determine your prompt.
Also I didn't think I needed to say this, but be excellent to each other. Dick comments and anon bullying are not on.

Meeting: Did you know there were, I don't know, werewolves before this? Or maybe you thought all aliens were evil. Will this...thing change your perception?
Falling in Love: You know you're not the same, but your feelings don't care.
Self-Hate: Perhaps you're mad at the being you're in love with, yet you're more angry at yourself.
Can't Be Together: Whether for self-inflicted reasons or societal rules, you can't be in love with who your heart has chosen and it's putting a strain on you.
Pushing You Away: Things are getting too intense, and for both of your sake, you want to make friend/crush/lover hate you.
Beauty & the Beast: One of you is beautiful, the other hideous. Maybe, though, the beautiful one is ugly in the eyes of society, depending on where you live. Whatever the case is, you don't look the same.

Facing Your Instinct: It's hard to be with someone when you want to suck their blood. Or eat their brains. Or possess them.

Standing Up For You: Hey, knock it off! I don't care what you think, he's perfect in my eyes.
You Don't Know You're Beautiful: The fluffy option where you're trying to make your loved one see just how much you care and how they're beautiful to you, no matter what.
Gifts: Show your affection with a gift from your culture.
Starting a Family: Can you even reproduce? Is it something you want to consider? Perhaps it's new ground to tread, so you'll have to be the first to think about it.

No objections what so ever. She actually GIGGLES! Giggles like a freakin' school girl or some shit. She hasn't giggled in so damn long. Or laughed at all, for that matter. Not since she last saw him. And it had been years before that!

There's a connection here. She feels... safe. And happy. And... human.

She sighs happily, running her fingers through his hair as he pays back all the attention. And at the risk of killing the mood she murmurs, "I'm really glad you came back."

He keeps kissing at her neck, up to her jaw and behind her ear, before he pulls back just enough that he can see her face.
He likes...looking at her. Does that sound dumb? That sounds dumb. But he does. Specially this close. Specially when she smiles.

"Couldn't help it if I wanted to." Just as quiet, before he leans down, pressing his lips first on her chin and then on her lips.
He's really glad he came back. Shit...he never thought he'd have a reason to be happy to run back into this place.

Dammit, Kobra Kid! This is such a bad idea. How the hell is this ever going to work? She was fine the way things were! Not getting attached to anyone, not having to worry about anyone, not being sad when she accidentally ends up killing them! This is something she really doesn't need at all. But she wants it. She can't keep her hands off him.

Kenzi presses up against him, still being careful to keep her teeth out of the equation, but is less careful when it comes to pulling at his shirt and lifting it up to feel his chest and run her hands down his abdomen. She's also less careful when it comes to his belt buckle and unzipping his pants. This is happening. This is totally freakin' happening! This is--

She freezes, turning her head towards the door at the sound of something probably too faint for Kobra to detect. Footsteps. Heavy ones. Why hadn't she been paying more ATTENTION-- oh, right. Mildly distracted. The footsteps stop and the pounding on the door starts along with a spiel about harboring a fugitive being in violation of blah blah blah, goddammit.

"They couldn't have waited an hour?" If she sounds disappointed, it's because she REALLY IS!

He didn't really notice that she froze at some point, just keeping the train going--

...are you kidding? You GOTTA be kidding. Now? SERIOUSLY? Right now?
He's quick as hell to bolt up and on his knees, instinctively reaching for the blaster on his side-- though he's not exactly a picture of threat when he's sitting there with zipper and belt undone.

So much for fun. He glances at her and back at the door, trying to think of a way for this to very much not happen. They won't take no for an answer and they'll probably break in, soon. Think, Kobra Kid, think...

So much for her peaceful, quiet, under-the-radar existence. It's hard to stay in the shadows with dracs on your back. Not that she blames him or anything, it's just as much her fault as it is his. She was weak. She gave in. She wasn't careful in the least! But honestly? She doesn't regret it.

Kenzi sits up with a groan, still very unhappy about the entire situation, and catches Kobra's chin in her hand to pull his face close and give him one last kiss.

"Do you trust me?" It's an important question.

The look he gives her--he doesn't like the sound of that and he's not even trying to hide it.

"What're you gonna do?" With a furrow of his brow, concerned rather than angry. It's nowhere in his right to even think like this, and he knows, he really does, but his look just screams please don't do anything stupid.
Another bout of pounding at the door makes him turn his head again and there's no time to ask any questions. He'll take care of buttoning his jeans right up again when he bolts onto his feet, before the grabs the blaster again.

This shouldn't happen--but it was obvious it was going to. You're a fucking moron, Kobra Kid.

Kinda hypocritical, there, Kid. Stupid's just a way of life at this point. While he's grabbing his gun, Kenzi moves inhumanly fast to the collection of swords and grabs one, unsheathing it and moving towards the door. She plunges the sword through the door, eliciting a scream from the drac standing on the other side. The other two start shooting just as she moves to kick the door off it's hinges and directly into all three of them, knocking them against the opposite wall of the hallway.

She turns to Kobra Kid, holding out her hand, "Come on. I'll get you out."

There's bound to be more downstairs.

He's wide eyed and frozen in place during the sudden killing scene. He wasn't sure what he was expecting; there was gonna be fighting and there was going to be blood, but maybe he didnt expect the sword stabbing and the flying doors.

Acting fast is usually what works for him, though, right now, he's more akin to a deer in headlights.

Staring at her, he's still in a startled silence for a few seconds. But he snaps out of it, charges up his blaster -- but before he goes for her hand, he reaches for his helmet...and hands it to her.
Don't question his logic. They already know who he is and that he's there, he rather she didn't get hurt; he doesn't care what she is.

" Lets go."
