Part of the appeal of the (under)age difference kink, as in legal-aged characters being involved with those that are underage, is how absolutely taboo and fucked up it is in most cultures. Romance is nice, but let's be honest; it's messed up, even if there is a romantic element. And that's what makes it fun. This meme is for nitty, gritty, not always pretty side of underage. You can play the psychological angles of both sides, whether their actions makes the older party tormented for their decision, and all the filthy, dirty, guilty, and sexy facets this kink can offer.

But my character is a good dude and would never _____! Well, you can always say it's a moment of weakness, they didn't think, aliens made them do it, emotions made them do it - or say fuck it, it's a meme. Make them feel guilty about it later.

But my character is underage and I want them to be the older party. Age them up or play against someone younger.

When Dick wakes up, he wakes with a scream stuck in his throat. His chest hammers with his heart and the memory of his parents is so close, so real, that he starts crying as soon as he realizes that he is awake and they are dead. Breathless sobs, more pain than tears, tear their way up his throat.

The room is too large tonight, too dark. The shadows loom and reach out for him, ghosts of people gone. There are shining eyes in the gloom, nightmares, and the hairs at the back of Dick's neck stand as his sobs of loss twist into gasps of fear. He slides out of his bed and his first thought is to climb, climb to a tight, small place where he can press himself into a corner and be safe, but he doesn't. It's too quiet. He can't stand the quiet.

He yanks open his door and actually runs down the wide hallway, past the faintly ticking clocks and silent high ceilings. Third bedroom on the left-- Bruce's-- is jerked open fast enough that he slams the wood into his knee and has to swallow a cry of pain. Shivering now, panic making adrenaline sing, Dick hesitates only fractionally before jumping onto Bruce's bed and ferreting under the covers until he can press his back to the man's and take a deep, shuddering breath.

Bruce has tried. Truly, he has done his ample best. He has ignored the painful throb that comes when he's within arm's reach of the boy, when his little ward parades around in boxer briefs after a long night spent confined to his suit, when Bruce catches the bathroom door open a crack every time he meanders by (that little peek into Dick's private life, the way he holds his small cock when he pisses, the look on his face as he lets it go, the sound he makes when he's done). Bruce has tried every meditation known to him, every crackpot theory he can think of, and yet the scent of the boy is enough to undo everything and snap his cord of control in two.

It's like that tonight. Bruce hears the steps, racing down the hall, hears the muffled little sound Dick makes when he hits his knee, and it takes everything for Bruce to remain passive and quiet, not to run to the child and wrap him in his arms.

When Dick crawls into his bed, Bruce knows he's crossed a dangerous line. And yet the hiccups of the boy's breath? They tear him up. He certainly can't resist turning to face Dick, humming low, and wrapping the small child in his massive embrace, warm under the expensive sheets and down comforters.

"It's all right," he says, stroking Dick's spine.

Dick freezes when Bruce moves and for a moment the fear shifts and he is sure that he will be pushed out, ejected, rejected, and the thought makes him want to wail. It scares him so badly, in fact (alone, he'll be alone, all alone) that when Bruce wraps him up, Dick jerks and cries out. He fights, grabs, clings, shakes his head and pushes meaningless promises from his lips.

"I'll listen, I'll be good, please, please--"

When he realizes that the fingers are holding him instead of shunning him, tracing his back and not pushing him out, Dick shudders and sags into Bruce's grip. He's managed to turn himself down against the mattress as he looped both his arms around the man's to hold on, but now he lets go and twists further, curling into Bruce's chest. He pushes his legs through the warmth of heavy thighs. He weaves himself together with Bruce, sucking breath into burning lungs.
