All the moments you've spent with the person you love - or at least feel complicatedly towards-, all the smiles and the touches or the arguments and the glares...they all fade to ash, now. You'll have to commit them to memory, though, because those events will never occur again. That person you care for most is dying, dying right in front of you - perhaps even dying in your arms. It could be sudden and violent; on the other hand, it could be something you both knew was coming after a long bout with an illness.

Their fate is sealed. What's left is how you respond. Will you fall apart? Promise revenge? No one would look down on you if you mourn the fact that you were never able to tell them how you really.

He'd just high-fived to victory when he saw her, and before he knew what he was doing instinct had taken over. With one quick grab for Ichigo's arm, he'd tugged his boyfriend aside, whipping out a small kunai whilst the attacker's sword plunged deep through his chest.

Apparently, their assailant wasn't quite as skilled as he was, and Naruto managed to twist the blade up into her chest - delivering instant death before he staggered back a few steps.

[He always had warned her he would give his life for her and Cynthia's if he had to, so she's not surprised that it's happened. And to her credit, she's not falling apart like she imagined she would, not like she did when he almost died at Validar's hands along with Chrom when this all started. And this time she knows he's stable (for him) as opposed to when he refused to stop throwing himself into danger and trying to bleed out after Ricken's death.

But he's still dying. Her husband, Cynthia's father, the guy she loves is still dying in front of her. And the cruelest irony is that not too long ago, he'd finally returned to himself, capping it off with asking her and Cordelia to cut his hair back to its normal length. He was him again, crazy but grounded and even promising her and Cynthia he'd stay alive as long as possible for them. Don't worry, Cynthia, I'll never be a deadbeat dad and leave you! Yet if he had to, he'd give his life for them.

Two contradicting promises. Only one of them could be kept, and it was the one she hoped he'd never have to fulfill. But his arm never did recover fully, my hand, my left hand, my left hand; the healers had tried everything to bring it back to normal and on a few occasions she'd convinced him to take it easy and let it rest, let her handle most of the fighting when his arm started acting up. But a bad hand was a bad hand, and it had come back to haunt him in the end.

It's why he's pinned to a wall, bleeding out; even the strongest of staves and healing medicines can't fix him now. He's dying. Even though Sumia had been prepared for this she can't help the tears running down her face as she kneels next to him, gathering his broken body in her arms.]

[Pierre wasn't one of those that defended the city from danger. He was of the kind to wait for those that did head out to return back safely. That was what he did this time around as well, but instead to care about everyone equally much as he used to, he had of late been seeing forward to see one face more then all the other's. He wished for Armin to return safely.

Looking out of the window of his home a smile spread on his lips as he saw a much familiar face approach his door. Armin was back and it looked like he was feeling well. It made Pierre feel very happy and relived.
