Time spent with the person you care the most for is a precious, invaluable thing. Most people take it for granted, though, as they can be with their beloved as much as they'd like. But not you. You and the one you love are kept apart - be it by the people you know, the merit of what you are causing your relationship to be taboo, your true destiny and calling, or even something as relatively mundane as your job.

Today, though, you get a rare private moment with them. This is the first time in quite a while, and may be the last time in months, if not years. What do you do? Comfort each other? Hold each other tight? Have sex? Argue? The specifics are up to you; mix and match your canons, tag someone new to see how this stolen moment plays out.

It's not that they're not seeing each other. They are. He's spending five or six nights a week collapsed in her (their) bed. It's just that they're getting back into old bad habits. They're starting to work with that ragged edge to things--to be totally lost to the jobs they love and hate and all that smashed together.

He doesn't really feel how little they've seen each other until he's getting off the phone with an agent in Rome, a plan half-formed to roll onto a plane.

Which he can do, if he wants to. But which feels... odd to do without at least... telling her.

But Rachel's at work. He glances at the top of his phone--maybe lunch soon. Time for tested and true.

[Stiles' hands are shaking, and there's nothing he can do to stop them, not even when he brushes his thumb across the back of his father's badge. It's misshapen, not matter how much he'd tried to flatten it back out, and it feels heavy in his pocket. A reminder of exactly what is riding on this ritual. Not just the life of his Dad, but Scott's mother and Allison's father too. His heartbeat is jackrabbiting in his chest, and he has to remind himself to breathe. Scott and Isaac are helping Deaton fill the ice baths in the other room, but Stiles can barely watch.

He tightens his grip on the badge, feeling it bite into his palm, but the pain is grounding. It staves off the panic attack he's teetering on the edge of. There's so much that could go wrong - he knows what that kind of temperature could do to his very human heart, aside from the darkness they're opening themselves up to by channeling power back into the Nemeton, but he can't lose his Dad. He can't. If it's his life, his sanity, or his Dad, then there's no question what he'll choose. Every. Damn. Time.]

[It's been years since he's seen her, gave her the news and sent her on her way. Autumn turned to winter, and the world around them changed. She's aged, but so has he. A knight for some years now, even if there's been little point. There has been though, when the name Sansa Stark was given there was some inkling of hope he would see her again, too. However much Gendry puts up some wall, remaining ever stoic and stubborn.

But they call him Robert's heir now. The last of the Baratheons. He has no legitimacy, but he does have loyal men. Gendry seeks no throne. In some ways he is like his uncle though. Renly fought for the people. He was the people's king. But Gendry holds no crown nor no banners. He would just like to live out this winter, however long it may be.

Their meeting would be called clandestine to some, the hidden Stark girl returning as a Northern plague sweeps ever more south. He's come upon some inn. The tavern girl is pretty and floats about him. He's heading northward with a band of men. It's no army, but he does what he can for those in need now. With Dondarrion gone these last few years, this is what remains. He's managed some gold in trade (he can have whichever forge he chooses now, but what little good it does him now that people are too poor to pay him and yet Lannister armies raid what they can). That is perhaps the thin redhead from the tavern tries to please him, but his eyes are ever on the dark haired girl.
