[Ranma doesn't plan these things. He never does. It's just one of those things that happens and really he should question them more. It's almost a shame that his life has spent more time being upside down than not... Or at the very least, he'd be a whole lot safer one way or another.

Which brings him to this. This was supposed to be one of those "spell-breaking" kisses from fairy tales. Do this, break the curse, get your wish granted, move on with your life. Ranma's encountered these before. So why oh why did he not remember to read the fine print? Again?

Despite his better judgment, he set his lips on Nike's-- And of course, that's when he realized that something was wrong. Off. Not according to plan. It also helps that in spite of the fact that he'd intended for this kiss to last barely a second, he suddenly couldn't quite... stop himself...

[So Merida had been out adventuring. Exploring as it were. And a few weeks back she had stumbled on to a tower.

A tower with a girl in it.

It'd been an awkward introduction. Hair flying, a few arrows had been shot, but when they both calmed down and explained their situations-- well. They had become something close to friends, even by the end of the first meeting.

Rapunzel hadn't felt up to leaving her tower, but she had left little signs for Merida to find when Mother was out. And today happened to be one of those rare occasions.

This time Merida had brought some of her father's ale, especially because Rapunzel had never had any before, and even if Merida didn't really appreciate the taste-- she figured it'd be a good joke to play on Rapunzel. She'd blame it later for the fact that their conversation had led down a road of romance and kissing and well--

Somehow Merida was now on top of Rapunzel on her bed, pressing her lips against hers. It was a joke. Or curiosity. Or something.]

[ Jack loves playing with dolphins, whisking up a strong breeze for them to follow him at break-neck speed over the waves as they leap and laugh, but sometimes he winds up with more company than he bargains for — like a mermaid. Just one, in point of fact, because he's never seen another; not that he minds as he grips his staff and hovers upside-down on the wind, of course, when kissing Ariel. It's always a challenge, something fun, trying to coast steadily on the breeze and avoid getting surf in his face, although 50% of the kisses bubble with laughter and sea-salted snorts even with his best efforts.

And then sometimes, like now, he swings down a hand when his balance is just right and brushes aside her sopping hair to cup a cheek, cold lips covering her own without breaking off right away.
