Carol shyly steps a little behind Mary Poppins, even with the her and Palom comforting her, she's still a little afraid. But she was always a nervous and easily frightened child, so this wasn't really out of the ordinary for her.

At least she calms down enough to speak.

"U-um, it was Polaris..." she thinks? She thinks that's the right answer. She turns her attention back to the bear, "um, h-hello, Mr. Bear."

"What she said!" This wasn't an answer, but it was usually an answer enough for inattentive and/or lazy tutors. This probably would end badly. But he was stubborn enough that only the hard way would suffice.

Mary Poppins (who had just passed cool and reached awesome - in maybe different terms since slang along those lines was slightly beyond his ken, but there was an instinctual part of him which understood where she ranked in the world and that was better than a lot of people he met) being okay with the bear made the bear okay in his mind. It was a lightning fast decision. She obviously was some super cool person and so if the bear was trouble she could take care of him with a whap! Of the umbrella!

"I thought this was going to be boring," and he had to, of course, trot up to the bear, "But it's actually pretty cool. And you can talk!" Stating the obvious, but still. "Not a lot of bears I know can talk. Most of them just go gwar."

"Boring!" Mary exclaimed. "Well there's gratitude for you. Try to give the children an education and they refuse to listen because they don't think it'll be fun."

The Polar bear chuckled at Palom and winked at Mary Poppins. "I think you'll find most animals can talk if you give them the chance. So you're looking at Polaris hm? Can you point it out to me?"
