1. Previously aloof tough character gets injured, lets the love interest treat their injuries, and reveals a newfound trust and intimacy. This might or might not involve the tough person making that hissing sound when the love interest touches their injured face, but not quite pulling away...

2. The love interest gets injured, and the tough character treats them and suddenly reveals a tender side.

It's an old trope, admittedly, but an understandable one. You're hurt - physically or emotionally - and perhaps even on the brink of death. And then, out of the blue, someone saves you and brings you back. They heal you, they feed you, cloth you, wash you. In the human mind, the intimacies can bring up warm feelings, even in the hardest of hearts. Will you fight them or let them grow? And what about when it's time to leave? You may not feel like leaving your angel...

HOW TO PLAY
1. Comment with your character and preferences. Mention if you'd prefer to play the healer or the healed - or both, for greatest versatility!
2. Reply to others.

[Being run through with a blade was not that much a big deal in his mind, though it made getting up and sitting down awkward. He figured if he didn't sit down or get up, he'd be just fine, so he only got to his feet once and stepped away. He picked at the annoying bandages around his chest and enjoyed the cooler air outside.

Lifting a hand to rub at the back of his head more also annoying, almost as annoying as breathing too deeply. Geez, one would think he had taken a serious injury. Oh well, there was training to be done, preparation for the next fight.]

[Jill's not really used to having to patch up someone else, but she's done it for herself enough times to know how this goes. Besides, she couldn't quite leave him there when she found him, not with what she'd been in the middle of uncovering. She'd assumed he was a civilian who'd been caught up in something he shouldn't have been - a victim to the people she'd been investigating. In which case, the fact that he was still breathing on it's own made him interesting.

It also meant that she was watching him for signs of some kind of infection. She didn't quite know yet what the group she was following had up their sleeve, but historically? It wasn't often rainbows and smiles, at the end of the day. If Sam were awake enough to notice it, she had conveniently forgotten to remove a pistol from its holster, and was keeping herself in a position to easily draw it should the encounter go down a more dangerous route.

Still, she smiles when she notices him starting to wake up.]

Hakkai is a mild-mannered human-turned-demon who keeps his power concealed with the aid of three power limiting ear cuffs on his left ear, making him appear human. For a demon in his canon, he's quite strong.]

The brunette could only guess what sort of massacre went on here, but he did happen to notice that someone was still alive. He knelt down next to the smaller form, looking him over carefully. His wounds didn't seem to be that extensive, but there seemed to be a toxin in his system. The man didn't appear to be conscious, but that could change at any moment. The green-eyed youkai moved his palm over the first wound, focusing his chi into his hand to heal the damage. From what he could tell, the toxin didn't seem to be causing his patient too much distress, but he'd prefer to keep an eye on it anyway.

His free hand pressed the inside of his wrist to the injured man's skin feeling a slightly elevated temperature. For all he knew, that was normal for this man, but he would still prefer to be safe and assume it wasn't.

[on offer: one battle weary troop, obviously wounded but for some strange reason (she)he won't let a medic tend them. Maybe he could find said troop holed up somewhere? Loft of a stable or previously deserted cottage, away from the battlefield. Assuming a medieval setting, armour that hides her gender, and maybe he knows her from a different setting. Flexible to any of these suggestions. Available in modern AU as well. ]
