The Voice Mail Meme

1. Your character just missed a call! Bummer. Was it their work number or their personal phone? What's their voice mail message sound like? Do they have an embarrassing ringtone? Say so in your comment! 

2. Others tag in with a message (or more) that they left after the tone! Is it late at night, or way too early in the morning? Was it was urgent or did they just want to say hi? Maybe they're not impressed with your character's answering machine message. Maybe it's just... heavy... breathing...

3. Call them back! (...or don't if it was the last one!) Text them a quick message if you're busy. Get caught up in phone tag if you keep missing each other's calls. Or, fuck calls, just arrange to meet up somewhere - even surprise them with a visit! Or... just ignore them entirely if you're avoiding them. Never mind that they left twelve messages on your phone...

4. Remember to say something after the beep!

He shook his head. "Sorry I ruined breakfast."

"You didn't ruin anything," she said squeezing his hand. "I'm just glad we got you here in time and that you're okay."

"I guess this means I won't be working for a while," he said.

She nodded.

"What kind of job did Helena have for you?" she asked. She wasn't going to bring up the fact that he didn't mention that's who he was meeting with.

"Just a consultation," he replied.

"Could the ambush have anything to do with that job?" she asked.

[isnt_the_same]

He shrugged. "Maybe. I have no idea. It could be Cobol for all I know."

She sighed.

"Hopefully not," she said.

Arthur closed his eyes. "You don't have to stay."

"Yes, I do," she said. For one, because obviously she was going to stay with him and for two, just in case anyone came looking for him. He was in no shape to be protecting himself right now.

"Well, can you go get us burgers or something?" He asked. "Please."

"Of course," she said. "I did just ask you if you needed anything."

"Just food," he said.

"Okay," she said as she got up. She pulled her gun out of her bag and gave it to him. "Just in case.

"I'll be back soon."

Arthur tucked the gun under his blanket on his right side. "Okay."

She kissed him on the head before ducking out of the hospital room and making her way down the hall. She checked her phone for the nearest McDonalds, just wanting to get in, out, and back to Arthur as quickly as possible. After finding out which way to head, she texted Eames as she walked out of the hospital.
