Show you how to cast magic? I could. Though you must realize it takes a long time to learn properly.

[ And he has never actually taught a mortal. ]

[ Loki has never gotten to teach any of his own children magic for their own safety. He has never gotten to pass on his knowledge.

And, quite suddenly, that is an attractive thought. ]

[ He grins, really wide. ]

[ And he looks around in case someone's watching. ]

[ Loki's curiosity is definitely piqued. ]

[ He tries to focus, and then reaches out his hand and-- silverware. Silverware is floating. Not very high; he doesn't want to spook anybody, but he trusts Loki. That's a wonderful feeling, trusting someone.

He then lowers it back down, because he doesn't want to drop them. ]

But nothing like you can do.

[ Loki honestly looks surprised. Whatever Erik just did, Loki did not feel anything. It certainly was not magic. ]

That is awesome. How did you do that?

[ But Loki's awe makes him smile, genuinely. ]

I guess... it's just part of me.

That is an extremely impressive part. I have not seen a human do something like that naturally.

[ And then he's back to being sad. Because if he weren't a mutant, his mother would still be alive.
