❄ it's quiet and the snow's beautiful tonight → a winter open meme ‧ post with whatever character you want ‧ responders roll for weather + scenario and get to threading ‧ ??? ‧ profit snowfall; stage i; none, streets are already blanketed in white. stage ii; very light and intermittent. stage iii; light - moderate. lasts longer periods. stage iv; continuous, heavy snowfall. stage v; the hardest of cores - blizzards, snowstorms, you name it. scenarios; ① fuck the police, this is the best time for a walk. hope you've got a nice thick coat on. ② stranded in the buttcrack of nowheresville? weren't you watching the time? now you've gone and missed that last bus out of there. or maybe you're lost, somehow. what do? ③ literally chilling, in this weather, is quite easy to do. sitting around relaxing in it is a wee more difficult, but sometimes much more enjoyable, especially if shelter can be found. the snow is beautiful to watch, after all. ④ the weather's not going to stop you. your snow fort's packed full of ammo and ready to go. those aren't snow angels over there; they mark where the poor souls you've downed have fallen. be careful with that snowman's head!! ⑤ you're about fifty miles from civilization but there's a roof over your head, so never mind the chilly draught, right? right. you mightn't be the only one lucky enough to stumble upon this little shelter, though. remember to share the blanket. ⑥ everyone stuck outside should be jelly. you've got a fireplace and hot cocoa and damn if it isn't awesome. a heater's not quite so romantic, but it'd do. there'd better be a backup generator in case the power trips. ⑦ mix and match, or make up your own ‧:❉:‧ - from krystaliske @ memebells

[She chuckles] I know what you meant. And I'd like that.

Snow angels? Are those similar to snowmen?

No, not really. Look, I'll show you.

[He lays down on the ground, his body sinking into the snow slightly. He moves his arms and legs in arcs until he has a perfect snow angel. Then he stands up and observes his handiwork]

See? It looks like an angel.

[She watches him as he flops down in the snow and makes the indentation in the snow. She looks over what he did after he gets up]

I suppose it does.

[She doesn't quite see it, but she will try it anyway. She lays down as well and mimics what he did to make a similar shape in the snow. She gets up and looks down]

Like that?

[He can tell that she's a little confused.]

Yep, perfect! We could draw halos over them so they look even more like angels.

[She tilts her head again to look at the snow angel. She still doesn't quite see it, but she will go with it]

Yes, let's do that. I think that would help.

[He bends over and draws a halo over his with his finger. There, lookin' good!]

[She watches and then does the same with hers. She steps back and looks at it]

That looks much better.

So you see it now? Or are you just humoring me?

No, I'm starting to see it now. [Still not quite what she had been expecting, but it was still more recognizable to her now]

[He smiles] I guess they're not as much fun to make as snowmen, huh?

[escapedprincess]

No, not as much. The other was better. What was the other one that you mentioned before?

[He pauses to think. Oh!] Do you mean snowball fights?

[escapedprincess]

Yes. That. What is that? It sounds like fun. [Be afraid, Dick, be very afraid]

You make little snowballs and throw them at each other. Of course, you try not to get hit; sometimes people go all-out and make snow forts.

[She pauses a moment then bends down to make a snow ball with her hands] So like this?

[She throws it at him. She doesn't throw it as hard as she can since she's been warned about that. She also aims slightly to the right so he won't get hit unless he dodges into it]

You got it.

[He dodges easily and scoops up some snow. Heads up, Starfire!]

[She dodges out of the way and immediately scoops up some more snow to throw back at him, now aiming directly for him]

[He rolls out of the way and throws another at Starfire.]

[escapedprincess]

[She dodges as well, making it more even by not flying. She scoops up more snow and throws it back]

[hackingyoursensors]

[He dodges with a fancy backflip awww yeah. Scoops up more snow for another snowball and tosses it at Kori]

[escapedprincess]

[She twists out of the way and avoids it, quickly grabbing another weapon to attack. They may not be getting many hits, but she's certainly having fun with the challenge]

[He's a tough one to hit, but he does a bunch of aerial flips just to make it fun. He keeps throwing snowballs Star's way.]

[She returns the snowballs back at him. Over the course of both dodging and making more ammo, she does take a hit, but her coat is so padded she can't tell]

[Eventually, he starts laughing, which makes it harder for him to dodge. And it wouldn't be any fun if he didn't let Starfire get any hits in.]

[Once he starts laughing, she does as well. This is the least serious she's taken a "fight" before. Even so, she does manage to get a hit on him now]
