Fuck or Die: Sex Pollen
Fuck Or Die

The rules are simple.
- Post character and preferences.
- Tag others.
- ???
- Profit.
You've been attacked by that darned Sex Pollen. One or both of you can be infected.
One thing is clear, though. Anyone infected MUST FUCK.
No other option.
Have fun with that, kiddos!

I touched one.

Re: Inara Serra || Firefly
[He rolls up his sleeve, to show a swollen, purplish area on his forearm. It's slowly spreading even as he speaks.]
It turns out the plant is exacting revenge on my ruining it's chances to scatter it's seed. I've got an hour left, according to Val, unless I manage to [Even he can't say this without looking incredibly pained] scatter mine instead.
Re: Inara Serra || Firefly
[She blinks, completely caught off guard by that one.]
So you need to have sex in the next hour or you will die because you touched the plants that we were told to stay away from and ruined it's chances to reproduce?
Re: Inara Serra || Firefly
[Komui covers his face]
I thought I could scatter it by myself but that just made it grow faster!
If I die, tell Lenalee it was an engineering accident.
Re: Inara Serra || Firefly
I think we should go back to my place for tea.
Re: Inara Serra || Firefly
I'm sorry to have to thrust this on you so suddenly.
Re: Inara Serra || Firefly
[It's a bit of an awkward walk to her apartment. She takes a slow breath, calming herself down and letting herself slide into a mindset from her former life.]
Please come in. Would you like some tea before we begin?
Re: Inara Serra || Firefly
[He settles on her sofa, toeing off his slippers and letting Henry out of his hat to play on the floor]
A small cup wouldn't go amiss.
Re: Inara Serra || Firefly
[She left him to settle on her sofa while she turned on the kettle and rummaged in cupboards for teacups and tea.]
I have a nice blend that I find very relaxing. I think you'll enjoy it.

Unfortunately for Mal, even now that he's back on Serenity, a small bit of pollen that drifted onto his coat during his time planetside was enough to put him under the weather. And now, he's burning up with fever, a cold sweat forming on his forehead as he leans over the railing overlooking the cargo hold. The rest of the crew is either asleep or at their stations, but Mal forgets that Inara kind of sort of has to go through the cargo hold to get back to her shuttle anyway.
He mutters under his breath, fists tensing around the railing. ]
Zhè shì yī gè máfan de dàbiàn fēngbào.
[ He's very strongly considering making a trip to the medbay. He's convinced himself it's just a fever. That unnatural longing he's feeling? Simply pent-up frustration about the way things have been going recently. That's his story, and he's sticking to it. ]

Her thoughts were far away as she stepped into the cargo hold. It took her a second to spot Mal, and another second to notice that things were off with the captain.]
Mal? Are you well?
[She walked over to him, reaching out to set a hand on his shoulder.]
no subject
Me? I'm fine. Shiny, even.
[ The hand on his shoulder, though a rather chaste gesture of concern, still caught his attention, and his gaze lowered to her slender fingers for a fraction of a second before he raised it again. Inwardly, his heart skipped a beat, and he tensed just ever so slightly, betraying his bald-faced lie. ]
no subject
Mal, you look ill. Do you need to see Simon?
[His eyes trailed over her and she almost pulled her hand off of his shoulder. That was not a look that Mal usually gave her, at least not when there was a chance she would catch him at it. His muscles tensed under her hand.]
There's no need to tough this out if you have the flu. At least go back to your bunk and rest.
no subject
May just be I need some rest. With any luck, I'll sleep it off.
[ And on the off chance that it actually is the pollen... well, he's pretty sure Simon won't be able to do anything for him anyway.
...At least, not anything that Mal would particularly like. ]
no subject
You're burning up. If you're going to be stubborn and avoid Simon, we can at least go to the med bay and do something about your fever before you rest. I don't think it will help your career much if you let a fever do some damage to your reasoning.
[She always baited him, even when she was worried about him. It was just their way. He was so damn stubborn, he'd go collapse in his room and get worse instead of letting anyone see that he was sick. She would have to escort him to the med bay and to his bunk if she wanted to be sure he was actually going to take care of himself.]
no subject
...Suppose you're right. We just got it stocked the other day... sure there's something there that'll be of use.
[ He didn't know how much more of the touching, innocent though it is, that he can take. When her hand had touched his shoulder, it felt as if every muscle in his body wanted to lunge for her. When she touched his face, it had been even worse. And it was becoming physically painful to resist those urges, more and more. ]
...You lead, I'll follow.
no subject
So you can bolt as soon as my back is turned? I think we can manage walking together across your ship.
[He seemed to be able to hold himself upright, so she didn't take his arm but instead stepped clear of the catwalk and waited for him, looking back over her shoulder.]
no subject
Suit yourself.
[ He walked to stairs and placed his hand on the railing, steadying his slightly shaky steps as he descended. His legs felt as weak as a kitten, and he there was an ache in his loins made only worse by the movement. ]
It ain't that I don't appreciate the concern. There's just more than a few things on my mind right now.
[ He almost immediately bit his lip shut. The less said about what was on his mind, the better. ]
no subject
[She tucked her skirt up so she could walk down the stairs with him, watching him in case she needed to catch him. Not that there was much chance of her slight form really stopping him from tumbling down the stairs, but she might be able to prevent a fall.]
More criminal escapades in the works, or something else?
[Small talk and banter kept things from being overly awkward while she basically escorted him to the med bay like a wayward child.]
no subject
Something that's best not spoken of. Forget I said anything.
[ He would have been foolish to expect her to drop it so easily, but his hope was that if he stonewalled long enough, she'd lose interest. She didn't need to know his carnal urges... he wasn't one of her clients. It wasn't her responsibility.
Even if there was the ever-increasing possibility that those urges would be the end of him. ]
no subject
It's a little too late for that, Mal. Did something happen at your last meeting?
[He always worried her, and it was almost always legitimate. Self-sacrificing, foolish man. He drove her to distraction, always getting hurt because he was a criminal that wanted to do the right thing. Stabbed and shot constantly, it wasn't that hard to imagine that now he'd been poisoned and was trying to hide it.]
