Daughter!

Raven didn't like hospitals either. Then again she was terrified that they'd do blood work and find out about her interesting DNA. After what Hank had said about it, it became one thing she knew she never wanted. Anyone to find out about how her DNA really worked. Being experimented on really wasn't something she wanted or needed at the moment. It was bad enough that she wasn't fully accepting of herself. Though Erik had been helping with that more and more.

So when he comes into the room she gives him a small, tired smile. After all mutant or not the labor had been hell. And on top of that long so she was tired. Luckily for her their daughter was asleep right now but it didn't mean that she'd sleep just yet. Not with the off chance their little one might wake up.

Raven could rest assured that if any such thing happened, that it would turn out worse for the hospital than for her. As it happened, though, he knew of no such interference.

He understood of course, the reasons for her hesitance to accept herself. Many mutants lived with the shame that humanity tried to inflict on them. But she was beautiful, whether she chose to wear her natural face or that of another.

He looked over at their daughter.

"Finally asleep?" He spoke softly, not wanting to wake her. "From the sound of her birth, I was almost worried Cassidy was the father." It was a joke, of course, not an actual accusation. But she'd cried awfully loudly. "The doctor tells me everything is well and we can go home."

The sooner the better, not just because it was a hospital, but because it was a heavily public place. They did a good job of covering their tracks, their identities, but one never knew whom could've been after them. Or, in Erik's case, he knew several people who were, beyond a shadow of a doubt, after them.

She gives him a tired smile when he asks about their daughter. "She's finally asleep." His tease has her shaking her head but it gets a brighter smile out of her. "I would kill Cassidy first." She didn't have anything against Banshee but there was no way in all of hell she'd procreate with him. Right now though she was content or as content as could be.

"Hopefully it won't be too long before we can go home."

Because she had no intentions of staying in a hospital unless she had to.

[ooc: Sorry for how long it too. I ended up with a new laptop and then we ended up with no net access at home.]
