[ Kadota does hope that Shizuo gets it right in the first five tries, at least. And though he wouldn't mind receiving the brunt of the blond's explosive frustration, he rather not experience it during these rare quiet times and spoil the mood.

So much for being hopeful to get it on the first guess. Let's try a second time. ]

I did bring milk, but that's not the surprise. [ He's curious to see how the blond will react to puddings. For that effort, though, he graces Shizuo with a smile. ]

[ Sorry, Dotachin, the second attempt won't be much better than the first. At least the promise of milk is enough to sate his temper. He doesn't so much as bat an eyelid at being wrong. Although he does match Kadota's smile with a deeper frown. Shizuo moves from the top of his wants list to the next item. ]

Cigarettes?

[ The smell of smoke lingers on his clothes, yeah, but he hasn't had a smoke in a few hours. Who cares if he's got an almost spent packet tucked away in his pocket? He could always use some more. ]

[ If this keeps up, it's going to quickly dive into some crazy sort of Twenty Questions. There's a bit of alarm ringing in Kadota's head at the deeper frown, but he's nothing if not patient, and persistent. ]

It wouldn't be a surprise if it's something you use on a near daily basis, yea? Need a hint? I can give you one. If you're curious, it's food. So drinks are out of the question. You like it a lot. It's sweet and—

[ And he snaps his mouth shut, belatedly realising his mouth running an external monologue. He gives Shizuo a sheepish half smile. Are those enough clues? As for the cigarettes, unfortunately he didn't purchase any of it. ]

[ Good thing he's got enough patience to see them both through this dangerous game. Seriously, it's live waving a lit match around a powder keg. But, okay, the series of hints clears up some of the confusion and gives him pause to clear his mind. Something he likes, something that you eat, something that's sweet. That narrows it down to a fair few things. He takes a deep breath and begins to guess: ]

Ice cream, cream cakes, gum, pudding, chocolate, lollipops.

[ He rattles them off one by one, studying Kadota's face for any sign that he's getting closer. The only sign of his weakening patience is the quick-fire way he fires off each item. There's no gap for Dotachin to interrupt him until he pauses for breath. ]
