Oh, do come in. [ which managed to sound like "if you must" but her quick and bright smile betrayed her thoroughly put upon tone as she turned to flounce into her tiny little house, throwing herself dramatically on the day bed that doubled as her couch and throwing the bouncy ball in her pocket at the stove to turn the kettle on. ]

You may thank me. [ it's said as if she taken the time to think about it and decided she wanted his gratitude for keeping him from a headache. ]

Such kindness and what an ingratiating and inviting nature. [Drawling out the words, stopping just short of rolling his eyes. He'd just been hit and despite acting his normal, dapper self, he wasn't quite up to par for the moment. She did swing a mean bat.

Smiling at her demeanor, the way she turned on the kettle, and without asking, though he turned to do his best to hide it.]

What am I thanking you for again? Only bruising my ribs rather than cracking my skull? And when I wasn't even going to ask for an apology for hitting me in the first place?

Need I remind you that you were the one sneaking into my house in the dead of night? [ his smile was worth it. she didn't mind, of course. she didn't mind most of the people that tramped through her hours at all the odd hours she kept, but daschell was a special case. she affected a pout, an expression of deepest concern. ] Would you like me to nurse you back to health? I'm told my bedside manner is horrendous, but March deserved it, honestly. The bastard.

Nono. No need to remind me. The wheeze when I breath is reminder enough. [Someone was definitely playing it up for all it was worth. No one ever accused Hatter of underacting, that was for certain.

Though perhaps he'd snuck in for just this moment. At best, he got the jump on her, or his worst was what had happened. Or perhaps that was the other way around.]

Of course he deserved it, though I think I would rather survive than be listed as the milliner who died after a lingering healing at the hands of his must beloved nurse.

Lingering. [ she repeats that specific word softly with the hint of a smirk. she pats the blankets next to her, as if to say, come on, stupid, get over here. ] I would be awful bored if you died. [ which sounded almost like she was weighing the pros and cons of such a death... she's very loving. ]

Do stop enjoying the sound of that word. [He smiled though, liking that look on her face. Such beauty and enjoyment.] At least not when you're thinking about me. Others though, do let me encourage you.

[Strolling over, he smiled down at her before settling on the edge. Turning to face her with a sleek turn, stretching out next to her.] I have no plans of leaving that boring hole in your life without me.

Thank you, I hate being bored. But I would think you would rather enjoy my enjoyment of lingering over you. [ she batted her eyelashes sweetly. ] I can linger over things that aren't violent deaths and shiny trinkets, you know.
