THE SNOW DAY MEME



Looks like the weather forecast was right; it's absolutely freezing! Not only that, but your town/city/jamjar/wherever is knee-deep in snow. Schools are shut, roads are backed up for miles and the general quiet chaos of a snow day has taken over.

But forget those negative nellies! Just post a comment with your series name and character name as usual, as well as any other notes you wish to add, then pick a prompt using the RNG and get started!


1. OMG SNOW!!!

Snow is just the BEST THING EVER, RIGHT?! Well, that's what you think and you're determined to have a good time with snowball fights, snowmen, snow forts and every other conceivable kind of snow-related activity with your friends... even if they don't really want to join in.

2. FUCK YOU, SNOW.

Oh god, it's snowing. This just completely ruins your day. Maybe you were planning to go shopping but the roads are still blocked up, or because the school closed, you need to hire a last minute babysitter for your kids. Whatever the reason for it, you're not pleased about this snow and you don't care what anyone else thinks.

3. SNOW SIEGE

Oh lord, it looks like you're stuck inside. With the amount of snow at your door, you can't open it! Will you make a daring escape out the window or will you just give up and watch TV? But what if you run out of snacks? Or the TV reception dies?!

4. BUSINESS BEFORE PLEASURE

With all this snow around, people's drives and lawns are completely blocked up. Why not take the opportunity to make a quick buck and clean their front gardens for them? If you team up with your friends, you can become a snow-clearing machine and make massive profits!

5. A WALK IN THE SNOW

Nothing like the sound of freshly fallen snow crunching away under your shoes, right? You don't really care either way about the chaos and even though it's chilly, the one thing you want to do today is head out for a walk in the snow and maybe grab a hot chocolate on the way back.

I didn't grow up with snow -- seems like I was missing out. [ He bends to reach for a scoop! But he won't throw it at you, Yue... ]

Would you like to partake in such an activity as snow man building with me?

[riffraff]

I don't see why not! There's nothing stopping us. [ packin that snowball, gettin' ready to roll it. ] How do we do this?

[moonpowers]

Well I believe we make a few large balls of snow and make faces on them.

[riffraff]

[ He hands her the snowball!! And raises an eyebrow expectantly. ]

[moonpowers]

[ She takes the snowball and then looks at him. Well... she can try to get this bigger. She puts it down in the snow and attempts to roll up more snow onto it. ]

[riffraff]

[ Wan is a cheater. After handing her the snowball, he turns to bend... the snow, having to concentrate more than usual to keep the consistency soft. He'll walk past her as he bends the snow into a ball and rolls it around the area, crossing her path and diagonally!! ]

[moonpowers]

[ She looks up and watches him. She laughs and gives him a playful look with her hand on her hip. ]

[riffraff]

Heheh... [ He flashes a sheepish grin as he wriggles his fingers out in front of him, still making motions and rolling the snowball into ...a gigantic one. It's going to be bigger than Yue. ] This seemed a lot better than getting my fingers frozen.

[moonpowers]

I guess for someone who isn't used to the snow I will allow it.

[riffraff]

[ Walking up to her, he gently takes a hold of her hand, squeezing his fingers around her own. ]

Your fingers are like ice. Do you want a break?

[moonpowers]

O-oh I hadn't really noticed... We could if you would like.

[ Her cheeks tint a little with color. ]

[riffraff]

[ No problem! He releases her hands, flicking his fingers out to ignite a bit of fire above them. ]

[moonpowers]

[ She stares in awe for a moment and the n gives him a warm smile. ]

You are far too kind...

[riffraff]

It's the least I can do. Better? [ He drops his hands promptly, flashing another wide smile. ]

[moonpowers]

Much better... I can already feel warmer.

[riffraff]

Glad I can help! [ It's his job after all. He waves her off and returns to bending... the ball, but it's just so big... They're going to make the biggest snowman ever. ]

[moonpowers]

[ She watches him bending the whole time with a curious look on her face. ]

[riffraff]

[ He notices after a while and stops. ] Uh... Think I went a bit overboard?

[moonpowers]

Not at all! I might take a while making the head though.

[riffraff]

I can give you a hand?

I'd like that I think.

[riffraff]

Sounds good to me. Ready? [ He leans over to brace his hands against the snowball she had been rolling! ]

[moonpowers]

[ Whoops. she's in his way now isn't she. She stumbles back a little to watch him work. ]

[riffraff]

[ He'll be panting after some time of rolling and when he feels his back ache a bit from leaning down for so long, he stops to stand and stretch back. ] Yue -- [PANT] do you [pant] wanna give me a hand now? [ Panting. The ball is wide enough that they can both fit together and roll! ]
