Snow Day
THE SNOW DAY MEME

Looks like the weather forecast was right; it's absolutely freezing! Not only that, but your town/city/jamjar/wherever is knee-deep in snow. Schools are shut, roads are backed up for miles and the general quiet chaos of a snow day has taken over.
But forget those negative nellies! Just post a comment with your series name and character name as usual, as well as any other notes you wish to add, then pick a prompt using the RNG and get started!
1. OMG SNOW!!!
Snow is just the BEST THING EVER, RIGHT?! Well, that's what you think and you're determined to have a good time with snowball fights, snowmen, snow forts and every other conceivable kind of snow-related activity with your friends... even if they don't really want to join in.
2. FUCK YOU, SNOW.
Oh god, it's snowing. This just completely ruins your day. Maybe you were planning to go shopping but the roads are still blocked up, or because the school closed, you need to hire a last minute babysitter for your kids. Whatever the reason for it, you're not pleased about this snow and you don't care what anyone else thinks.
3. SNOW SIEGE
Oh lord, it looks like you're stuck inside. With the amount of snow at your door, you can't open it! Will you make a daring escape out the window or will you just give up and watch TV? But what if you run out of snacks? Or the TV reception dies?!
4. BUSINESS BEFORE PLEASURE
With all this snow around, people's drives and lawns are completely blocked up. Why not take the opportunity to make a quick buck and clean their front gardens for them? If you team up with your friends, you can become a snow-clearing machine and make massive profits!
5. A WALK IN THE SNOW
Nothing like the sound of freshly fallen snow crunching away under your shoes, right? You don't really care either way about the chaos and even though it's chilly, the one thing you want to do today is head out for a walk in the snow and maybe grab a hot chocolate on the way back.
6. WILDCARD
Either combine any one of the above prompts or come up with your own scenario!

[ He taps his pencil against the paper a few times, before erasing what he had written. Such a difficult little clue. ] Trout basket.
[ His jaw works back and forth before gesturing for the young lady to sit. ] I do like those that enjoy crosswords such as I do. And to reward you for saving me from my future frustration, I shall buy you a scone. Or whatever it is that you may like.
It is the least I could do.
no subject
No, thanks. It's just a dumb crossword. You don't need to get me anything for solving something anyone could have done. [She appreciates the fact that Segai isn't rude.]

[ He does set the pencil down on the newspaper as it seems like it would be best to give this one his full attention. Even as he says that, he turns to look out toward the street and at the softly falling snow. ]
Well then, introductions are in order or this will make things awkward later. [ ... ] I am Segai. It is a pleasure to meet you, Miss...?
no subject
[She shakes her head before responding.]
Nice to meet you. I'm Weiss. [Weiss crosses her arms and folds them before she speaks again.]
no subject
[ His head bows slightly to her to show that he concedes to her wishes. ]
Weiss. [ He smiles, then. ] German for "white." That seems fitting given our current weather.
no subject
And make snowman and have snowball fights! [Weiss is being sarcastic. She doesn't mean any of that. She doesn't intend to get overly friendly with Segai.]
no subject
It's one of the few sights that really makes me feel nostalgic. But I suppose you are too young to feel that way. [ Segai smiles in a polite way, not trying to anger her, but letting her know the joys of when she gets older. Being an odd woman who gets sentimental about the snow. ]
no subject
I'm only seventeen. I've got bigger and better things to think about.
Like becoming a huntress.
[She could care less about the snow outside. Her eyes have always been set on one goal and becoming a huntress was it.]
no subject
[ He focuses on that word before gesturing slightly with his hand. ]
Please, do go on.
no subject
Criminals and thieves are all scum. A huntress can protect people from their threats. Only someone with a lot of skill, smarts and strength can become a huntress.
As a representative of Beacon, I must enlighten you to these details. An opportunity to do so just presented itself.
no subject
I see. I am a hunter, myself. Not classically trained as you are, but trained by the military of my world. [ ... ] I agree wholeheartedly with you that such individuals are not deserving to breathe the same air as civilized folks. They put innocents in danger and force trouble upon the undeserving.
[ His hands are set on the table as he steeples his fingers. ] I'm happy to see the younger generation believes in order and peace. I was starting to think everyone was trying to become radicals for the sake of ... impressing those that need not be impressed.
no subject
A member of the military protects civilization on the same level as we hunters and huntresses do.
What is this all about? Why would you try to impress someone who doesn't need to be impressed? That's stupid.
no subject
We try. But I am certain there is more that you can do than what I can. There are rules that I am bound to that you may not be. And vise versa.
[ Segai smiles and lets out a soft chuckle before answering. ] Because men when they are young would see a pretty girl and think that is their whole world. When women are young, they see a goal and future which they wish to achieve. It's unfortunate, but it will take boys years to reach the maturity of their female counterparts... and because of this, they will do foolish things.
no subject
Besides, it's not only men who do foolish things. I've met plenty of girls who act ridiculous and act before they think.
no subject
They're still figuring out who they are, but they will figure it out. I have far more faith in that than anything else in the world. The ability of change. The fact that those that are affected by the actions of others, and the abrupt shift in how a person is due to that interaction.
no subject
I'm not perfect and no one is. Having faith in the ability to change doesn't make you stupid. What are you trying to get at here? Spill it out already.
no subject
[ And he sips his cocoa before answering her question. ] Just that I have faith in the youth of the current generation more than they have in themselves.
