Knotting is a popular sub-genre of fiction that has become popular recently. The genre gives canine-type characteristics to male characters wherein the penile shaft enlarges as he approaches his orgasm to tie both him and his partner together for up to twenty minutes. The knot provides both a way to claim, and in case of a situation where pregnancy is a possibility, prevents sperm from leaking out.

While this can include Alpha/Beta/Omega play, heats, and similar genres, this isn't entirely required for this meme. For those interested in even edgier play, including full-out bestiality, there are options.

Part of him knew there was a full moon that night, but let the fact go right up until he felt it hit him-- the bloodlust, the frenzy, the animal nature that had him frantic in the bathroom until it dawned on him just what instinct wanted of him.
