[Azure tenses and whirls to face Zee. Death picks up its scythe, plucks off some loose material stuck to the impeccably shiny blade. Azure starts toward Zee, but is stopped because Death hooks said blade at his collar. Nonetheless, Azure tries to move forward, an increasing ferocity in his movements.

"Since you're heading that way, will you give something to her?"]

I'm no one's messenger, dammit!

["Rare someone's so willing." Azure's breath catches and his movements slow, stop, at the chilling shock of the blade against the back of his neck.]

...Fine.

["I knew you'd understand." So Death gives Azure a folded up piece of parchment, then wanders on its way, whistling along to whatever plays on the boombox in its free hand. But Azure can't resist shouting after it.]

It was a cold day, the weatherman predicting that there might be snow on the way, making Ryou happy, haven't had her first snow yet of the year. It was close to Christmas time, so she was taking Atem with her for some shopping, since all of her other friends were busy.

Along the way, however, they were just in time to watch two cars colliding with each other at a stoplight, both almost completely destroyed. Ryou had pretty much frozen in place, unable to keep her eyes off of the crash, all around her had just seemed to stop. After a long pause, she finally found her voice.

"Atem, m-maybe we should try this... another time."
