The Abrupt Kissing Meme

Plain and simple: your character is being kissed. Abruptly. How did this happen? Were they talking too much to the point where it was the only way to shut them up? Was someone bidding adieu or just not able to hold in their feelings? Or was this some CPR class gone bad? More importantly—how do they react?

How this works:
→ Leave a comment with the usual information in the subject line: character name, fandom. Any preferences, including what you don't want, should be included as well. Congratulations, your character is being kissed by whoever tags them!
→ Tag around.
→ Feel free to roll RNG (1-9) if you cannot come up with scenarios of your own.
→ Have fun, and be excellent to each other!

Bart nodded slightly, relieved that she wasn't upset bout his snacktime snafu, but when she mentioned that her memory had been wiped as well it took everything he had not to reach out and hug her. "Happened bout ten years ago...was this big explosion and when I woke up I had all this power, but it came at a heavy price. I couldn't remember anything bout who I was, in the blink of an eye my entire life had been taken from me."

Bart's frown deepened as he thought about that day, but instead of cracking a smartass comment or joke like he usualy did, the speedster just quietly spoke up.

"My parents found me but I didn't even know who they were, yet i'll never forget the looks on their faces when they saw what I could do...they were so afraid, just kept looking at me like I was a fucking freak or a monster. So I ran and never looked back. Was living on the streets for a couple of years until I ran into Clark and his dad. The rest is history..."

Well, even though Bart could resist, Carol couldn't. She straightened up from her leaning position and wrapped her arms around her friend in a hug. Carol had lost her memory before, but she was older, and eventually it came back. She couldn't imagine a young kid not remembering their parents.

"I'm sorry, Bart. I'm glad that you found some friends, though." She pulled back to look at him with an encouraging smile.

The unexpected hug caught the speedster off guard, but instead of tensing up Bart simply returned the gesture and tried hard not to blush. "Hey not your fault chica, plus I count ya as one of those awesome friends! But you really gotta tell me what kind of shampoo are you using cause it smells amazing!"

She chuckles before pulling away. "Pantene. I'm glad that you like it. And you are a great friend."

"Ah, the friend zone...bane of every man's desire!" The speedster chuckled as he mentally made a note to pick up some Pantene on the way home. "Well you are a pretty amazing friend too chica, and it's cool to have someone to talk bout the whole memory thing with. Don't get me wrong, Clark and Ollie would listen, but they wouldn't really understand."

"And you can talk to me about it any time. Would probably help me, too." Because he was right. Unless you had experienced it yourself, you didn't really understand. Sympathy only got so far when you really needed empathy.

He knew she would really be there for him if and when he needed to talk, and that was a gift beyond measure. Bart may not have a family but his friends were more then enough to fill the hole in his heart. Wanting to lighten the mood, the speedster nodded towards the bathroom and chuckled again. "I uh, I may have eaten your decorative soaps too...which was my bad, but in my defense I thought they were like a dish of candy!"

Carol's eyes widened and she glanced at the bathroom. "Dude, seriously?" With an elongated and clearly playful sigh she folded her arms over her chest. "Okay. Then you are going shopping with me right now and helping me carry my groceries home."

Bart offered a little smile as he shrugged his shoulders. "Hey now, not my fault they all looked like fancy candies!" The thought of going shopping with her lit up his smile and between giggles the young man suddenly held up a shiny black credit card. "Sounds good to me, been meaning to break in Ollie's corporate credit card anyways!"

Normally Carol wouldn't approve of Bart using someone else's credit card to buy her groceries...but she was completely out of food and she figured that Oliver Queen could afford to float a couple hundred dollars her way. "All right. Let's go, dude."

Bart nodded and suddenly started to run, even making it halfway across the state before he reappeared in her kitchen again. "Uh so where are we going exactly?"

Carol shakes her head and gestures to the large amount of reusable tote bags in her kitchen. "There's a grocery store a couple blocks from here."

With a slight blush he quickly grabbed up the weird tote bags and offered up a grin. "I uh, I'll follow you this time chica."

She smiles and leads them out of her apartment. "Well, I do appreciate that enthusiasm. Not that many people are excited about grocery shopping."

"Two words chica, two magical words...Free Samples!"

"I should've known." They head out onto the street and Carol loops her purse over her shoulder. "So what are you doing in New York?"

"Hey it's not my fault...free samples are like the coolest part of going to the grocery stores!" Bart scratched his head for a second as he considered just what to say but finally shrugged his shoulders and quietly spoke up. "Was here to see you, kinda needed to just hang out with a friend who wasn't a team mate, and I really don't have a ton of those."

"I won't argue with you there. I love free samples." Her look softens and she nudges him. "I'm happy to see you. You are welcome at any time, just preferably not coupled with clearing out my kitchen. Something been on your mind?"

"Pretty sure everyone loves free samples, bu tthe real trick is to hitting up like a few dozen stores in just a couple of minutes! Can walk way with a ton of food and those mini little pizza roll things are just so freaking good!"

He giggled for a second and nodded in agreement. "I'll be sure to avoid your fridge for a couple of weeks. Oh, not really was just sorta bored and everyone else kinda already had plans with their significant others."

"You can also buy those mini little pizza roll things. And since Oliver Queen is buying you can get as many as will fit in my freezer." She chuckled at the thought. Hopefully Mr. Queen wouldn't mind too much.

"Gah, tell me about it. Seems like everyone is in a relationship, you know?"
