THE ANIMAL NATURE MEME

In this meme, someone has been involved in some kind of an animal transformation, either completely or partially. This can range from a character being forced to wear plush ears and a tail to a twisted science experiment to lycanthropy or any other option in between, temporary or permanent, played for crack or for drama.

The transformed character might have been forced into it, did it voluntarily, or were brainwashed into enjoying every minute of it. The "animal" nature might affect them at different levels as well, where one person might be completely unchanged mentally, a human stuck in the wrong shape, while another completely loses themselves in whatever they've become, being entirely taken over by base animal instincts.

Is this a prank? A dare? Did someone lose a bet? Did you get on the wrong side of a mad scientist? Is the other person a friend? Your new owner? Your worst enemy gloating over your plight? Pick an option or make up your own, and let the fur fly.

[Sounds like a good start. ^_^ As for Axel, hm~. Possibly heat/fire stuff -> some kind of draconic traits being thrown in and eventually showing up? XD But can start with Saix and the werewolfery.

Given that you know the AU-relevant stuff, you might be best starting? I wouldn't know what would be worth putting or not...]

[When Xemnas announced that Vexen and Zexion found a way to enhance the powers of all the Organisation members, Saïx was highly sceptical. He especially doubted it would make Lea's - no, Axel's - Keyblade show up, when the last time it showed up was when Lea still had a heart and it never showed up since. And what was to enhance about Saïx's powers? Could Vexen's and Zexion's pitiful experimentations make his connection to the Moon stronger, the connection that he felt since he could remember? He could hardly believe that.]

[Still, an order from Superior was an order, and both he and LeaAxel had to play that charade until they could manage to overthrow the man.]

[But after the session with Vexen, Zexion, and some strange magical concoctions that they made, Saïx felt (physically, naturally, as he had no other feelings to speak of. as was the fate of every Nobody) strange. Very strange. And a little dizzy. And as if something both dangerous and embarassing could happen any moment - in other words, it was a memory of feeling that he'd rather never experience again.]

And so, he went to Axel's room and waited for him. He rationalised his action by thinking that it was to see if the weird sensation is really caused by an experiment - if Axel felt strange as well, he wouldn't be silent about it, would he? Axel was great at complaining when it didn't matter, afterall. And even if he didn't complain, Saïx could ask him directly.]

They tried eating ice cream there, sometimes, but then Axel suddenly announced that The World That Never Was makes even ice cream taste bad, or something like that... Saïx didn't care to remember that conversation exactly, it had been four years ago, afterall. In the past and unimportant, and foolish. Ice cream tasted the same everywhere, that was a fact. And were only waste of munny, so nowadays Saïx didn't eat any.]

[He really was feeling weird, he realised, when he suddenly caught himself having a strange urge... or rather, suddenly almost choked, stopping himself from... howling? Literally howling? He quickly looked to the door, hoping Axel didn't choose the worst moment to come back and didn't hear him almost howling at the moon like som worthless wolf or dog. He'd never live it down.]

Kurt was half asleep as Stiles drove them home from the movies. He was sitting in the back since Scott had come along. He stirred when Stiles pulled into Scott's driveway. He yawns and looks around the chair at Stiles.

[OTA, Ryan is highly unlikely to allow himself to be altered in any way. He would definitely release a mutagen and then take home anyone affected by it, though!]

[Makoto had fallen prey to the cold bug that had been going around all the students at school, it seemed-- the mild sniffles she'd woken up with had turned to pure misery by the end of the day. Fortunately there was no school the next day, so she could get some rest and hopefully feel more like herself before returning, since exams were coming up and she couldn't afford to get behind.

She stopped on the way home to pick up ingredients for soup and tea, then paused before a display of "Super Strong Cold Remedy". It seemed quite popular, since only one bottle of the colorful pills remained, and she shrugged and added it to her basket. It couldn't hurt, could it?

Little did she know, of course, that the bottle contained more than simple medicine...

The next day she woke feeling worse than ever-- though her sniffles were better, she ached and itched all over, her stomach roiling and head spinning. Though she forced herself to go through the routine of fixing breakfast, Makoto wondered if she would even want to eat it, with how she was feeling....]

[For most people who had taken those mysterious pills, their colds were gone in a single day. Ryan isn't one to dole out fake medication, after all. Of course, he also isn't the type to heal people just for the sake of healing them. There had been a nasty little surprise in that medicine, just waiting for someone with a compatible genetic makeup to ingest. If the experiment works correctly, those people will begin to pick up the traits of a dog. Loyalty and obedience are the main things his employers are looking for. Ryan's made some very impressive creatures, but they can be difficult to control.

Of course, there's likely to be some physical side effects along with the mental.

Each bottle had been equipped with a tiny little tracking device so that Ryan can follow up and see if anyone is compatible. He's doing exactly that just now. Soaking wet from the rain outside and looking extremely bedraggled, he knocks on Makoto's door, dead cellphone in hand. Surely she'll be kind enough to let him use her phone, won't she?]

[The knock surprises her, since she wasn't expecting company. Makoto blinks, then gives the simmering pot of soup one last check before turning off the heat, sets the lid in place, and goes to answer the door, absently wiping her hands on her apron.

The man standing outside does look a sight, soaked through as he is, and she frowns with some concern even as she keeps rubbing at the back of one hand. It itches fiercely, for some reason-- perhaps she spilled something on it?]
