The Bathing Meme



Scrub-a-dub-dub, this meme is ridiculous. No, really. This is a meme about taking a bath. Silly.

- Post your character with name, series, and preferences as the subject header.
- Reply to other characters, using the RNG (1-7) to choose a bath type from the list below.
- Characters bathe. Or other things involving a bath. Whatever, dudes. Anything goes!
- Sexy times and/or triggery material may pop up in threads. Please be conscientious toward your fellow roleplaying buddies!

1. Bubble Bath: Here, the characters are sharing a humongous bubble bath with all the froth they can handle. The scent is delicious, the water is warm—go on, enjoy yourselves!
2. Shower: Perhaps not as fun as a bubble bath, but hey, at least it's built to accommodate two. Don’t slip!
3. Hot Tub: A whirlpool of warmth and—mm. Don't mind me. I'll just be sinking in.
4. Hot Springs: An outdoors bath is good, too, right? Or maybe this is part of a hotel. Either way, it sure is steamy.
5. Decadent Bath: There could be bubbles here, or maybe just those wonderful smelling oils and salts. Awwww, yeah. This bath probably cost a small fortune, so you should enjoy it while it lasts.
6. Lake: In case the hot springs weren't rugged enough for you, here's an actual lake, complete with waterfall for all your rinsing pleasures.
7. Other: Bathe in a shoebox for all I care!

Balthazar's definitely not mentioning that.

"I suppose so. I might be able to get cooperation from a few of my clients in the area. No one wants a loose cannon tearing around."

Balthazar is sometimes a wise man.

"I... was actually offering you something from my own armory." It's a slightly sheepish offer, but there it is.

Not very often.

He smiles gently at Horvath's offer. "Thank you, Maximus. Did you have something specific in mind? I've already imposed tonight."

"Mmmm. Anything to keep you from barging in unannounced." He gives him a glance over the glasses, with an exasperated little smirk, then finishes up the concoction and hobbles a step or two over to offer the cup. "We'll have a look at what I've got once you're up to it. Drink that, and I'll bandage..."
He's got a first aid kit in the cabinet, too, and settles on the end of the chaise lounge with it.

He looks sheepish. "I panicked a little? It's not that serious, but for a minute there I couldn't move my leg. Probably psychosomatic."

He drinks the contents of the cup trustingly.

"I'll put something on the wound directly, just in case..." He makes sure he's got extra gauze and his own special antibiotic ointment out and ready before he even attempts to peel the washcloth away. "It's serious enough..."

"Thanks. I can heal it myself, but the help is...very much appreciated." He shakes his head. "I've had worse."

"You'll need your power, and I'm not going running after werewolves with you. Obviously." He gives a wry, faintly bitter smile. He's intent on the leg wound now though, taking a snip or two in Balthazar's pantsleg with the surgical scissors, and numbing the wound magically before he pours on the ointment, because without it this would sting, and that's an understatement. It's his own blend, which includes a few helpful ingredients for wounds made by werewolves, vampires, and a few other things.

"I'll keep you updated about the results," he says quietly, closing his eyes. The numbing is more effective when he's not looking at the open wound. "Thank you."

"Do that..." His hand rests lightly over the injury, pressing the ointment in with a pad of gauze, but more importantly the ring on his hand glows, as he begins to work at healing, from the inside out to push any potential infection out and up, where the ointment will help take care of it. His eyes, too, drift closed as he concentrates. After a long moment he murmurs softly, "Just like old times, enh?"

Balthazar sighs in relief as the pain fades, and gradually leans in to rest his forehead against Horvath's. "Just like."

"...With perhaps a few more scars." He heaves a slow sigh, but it's reassuring, in its way. They can never go back, but there's something good about picking up again with a greater understanding of each other.
