Yang can really make Blake lose her cool.Do you want to handle the opener, or should I?no subject
She knows how to light your fire, bby.Could you? Laptop is in repair for a few days and typing on the iPad is a bit fiddly. ^_^;;]]no subject
Well, Blake was perfectly content to call that match a draw. As she'd suspected their fighting styles had made for a rather interesting match up and Yang had forced her to adapt in a number of ways. She also now knew first hand just how much of a punch Yang packed and her Aura was pretty well burned out and she'd be sore for a little while in a few places. Still, it was worth it, a few more matches like that and she'd be ready for the upcoming tournament.
For now though, she stashed her gear in her locker and made her way to one of the shower stalls. The place was empty as it normally was at this time of day, and she tossed her towel over the closed door and just stood under the water for a moment, eyes closed, with her head tilted back.
Right now, she was just looking forward to making it back to the dorm room and spending some time relaxing. Maybe if everyone else was asleep she'd even pull out something from her "secret stash" of books, as she was still somewhat energized from the fight.

Humming as she threw her sweaty clothes into a laundry bag, she mused a little on Blake's fighting style, replaying some of the more
badassintricate maneuvers in her mind. That girl could move that was for sure. Watching her fight was like watching some kind of dancer, but a whole lot cooler.Soon enough, she was in the stall next to her partner's, still humming happily to herself. A good match always made her feel happy. At the moment she felt like those horses, so full of bubbling, happy energy that they just had to roll on the ground to get it out. It made her want to go out and just do something, anything to expend the energy she'd built up. It was almost ridiculous just how wound up she was, specially after the match they'd had. Maybe she'd go dancing later. Hmm...that was an idea. Now if only she had some nice company.
"Hey Blake, d'you like dancing?"
[[I seem physically incapable of short posts, sadly. *dramatic sigh* Oh well. And thankfully, I'm pretty used to typing with the iPad in landscape. Not my first choice, but I just can't stay away from these twooo~
Also sorry for the random comment poops. The iPad does not seem to like my icon selections. -.-]]

Even so, Yang had proven more than a match against her. When she moved, she moved fast and when she dug in she was like a rock. A few times, Blake even found herself on the run, either because Yang had managed to close the gap or had just opened up with a barrage from Ember Celicia. Forcing Blake on the defensive until she'd found an opening to counterattack, and then it went back and forth again.
"Hm?" She glanced over at her partner, the walls of the showers just high enough to grant some measure of privacy but not so much that they couldn't see each other over them. "I studied it a little bit but I haven't really been dancing."
It helped with balance and coordination, mostly, but she'd be lying if she said it hadn't fascinated her a bit.
"Why?"
[OOC: Oh, I'm not complaining about long posts. They're great! And don't worry about the notifs, I am deaf to the complaining of my inbox.]

For her part, she now knew just how any of Blake's opponents must have felt when put up against her. It was almost maddening how the girl could jump in to attack at close range, and then weave out of reach while her weapon's abilities still allowed her to attack as she retreated. A few times Yang had been pushed into a corner and had to pull out her own - far less preferred - long range attacks to keep from being completely outmatched. It had definitely been a fun match. She could hardly wait for the next one.
"Mmm..." Her eyes were closed, face turned up toward the water as she massaged shampoo into her wild mane of hair. She liked it, and was incredibly proud of it, almost to the point of vanity, but it was incredibly high maintenance. "I was thinking of going dancing after this, thought you might wanna come along? It's totally fun, and way more fun when you've got company."
A pause as she turned to rinse her hair out. "I know I'm gonna be sore tomorrow, but I've still got all this energy to burn."
Opening her eyes, she grinned, leaning on the divider between them and resting her chin on her arms. Waggling her eyebrows playfully at her partner, her smile widened mischievously. "You up for it, or did I tire you out too much?"
[[Yey :3 Now you just have to wait the five bajillion years it takes me to type them out from this thing.]]

Straightforward and blunt, maybe, but Yang was stunning in a fight in her own way. Especially when she really got going and that glow surrounded her. It was like looking at the sun, and so different from the shadows and illusions that Blake cloaked herself in.
When Yang turned her way, Blake quickly yanked her eyes away and busied herself with her own hair. Dancing? That was way out of her comfort zone, she'd always preferred peace and quiet. Still, it was tempting.
"I don't know." She turned her head slightly, only hesitating a little bit when she realized Yang was now looking over the divider at her. "I'm really not sure I'd be any good at it."
[OOC: Ah, it's cool. You're still not much slower than me.]

With her partner now focused on her own hair, it gave her the chance to see her clearly. There had always been something about Blake that drew her in. It wasn't something she could place a finger on, but as she watched her partner wash her hair, the thought occurred to her that perhaps the fact that the other girl been so unknowable thus far was what made her so intriguing.
When Blake turned to look at her little, she simply beamed back, completely unabashed. When she heard those protests though, she raised a brow. "Are you kidding me? Have you seen yourself in a fight? Well, probably not, but you could totally kill it on the dancefloor, c'mon. If I don't get all this energy out somehow I'm gonna exploooooode."
no subject
Yang was who she was and she didn't care who knew it, and a part of Blake wished she could be more like that. But things were... complicated when it came to her past and she still worried that revealing too much too quickly could change things. It might not, but she didn't want to take that risk. Not yet.
"It's a little different from fighting." She let her hair drop forward over her shoulder as she rinsed it out, keeping her head down and arms close instinctively. It wasn't that she was especially shy but there was a degree of vulnerability that she wasn't totally accustomed too. "I wouldn't really know what to do."
no subject
Being open, loud and proud was simply in her nature. Dad had been that way, and she took after him mostly. 'If you've got it, flaunt it' had always been the old man's motto, and it had stuck with her through everything. Sometimes she wished she could break through Blake's shell as well, it was doubtful anything she found in there would have changed her fondness for her partner, but she could ore than appreciate the girl's need for privacy. At the end of the day, they had each other's backs, they could count on one another when they needed to, and that was pretty much all that mattered.
"Whaaaaat, it's not that different, c'mon I'll show you!" Shy wasn't something Yang picked up on very well. She knew Blake was reserved, but just how guarded her partner was could go completely over her head more often than not. So it was that in a moment she was out of her stall and pushing the door to Blake's open. "You ready for this? I'm gonna show you some moves!"
She grinned widely, stepping inside and placing her hands on her friend's shoulders. "Just follow me!"
no subject
The sudden movement from Yang's side of the wall snapped her out of her thoughts and she looked up, staring at the blank spot where her partner's face was a second ago.
"You'll what?" But before she could really comprehend what was going on, the door to her shower stall had already opened and Yang's hands were on her shoulders, prompting a sudden jump from the black-haired girl. The sudden proximity startling her a little bit and causing a flush of color to rise in her cheeks that was hopefully concealed by the steam.
"Yang!" She immediately folded her arms over herself, giving her partner a wide-eyed look. "You don't have to show me now!"
no subject
The blush was, unfortunately for Blake, not hidden very well steam or no. Met with her oartner's suddenly shy deer-in-the-headlights expression, Yang's eyes suddenly lit up. How was it possible for someone who was so calm and collected, who was such a fierce fighter, to be so adorable? It really wasn't fair. Unfortunately for Blake again, personal space was not one of her partner's strong suits and seeing that incredibly cute expression gracing her friend's features, she slinky couldn't contain herself. In a flash, Blake would find herself caught in a tight hug, Yang's cheek pressed against hers as she seemed to try to squeeze the life out of her partner.
"Blaaaaaakeeeee! Ohmygod you're so cuuuuuuuuuute!" Even those protests seemed to be wholly unnoticed as she continued to squeeze. "Ohmygod ohmygod! How are you so adorable?! I just wanna keep you and hug your forever and ever and everrrrrr."
All that energy she was talking about? Now being used to hug you incredibly tight, Blake. Ah well, at least neither of you is sweaty anymore.
no subject
Despite that, it was hard to ignore how good the warmth of Yang's body pressed against hers actually felt. When Yang shouted, her breath brushed across Blake's neck, causing a slightly shiver to run through her.
"Y-Yang-!" She managed, going ramrod straight with her arms caught in the blonde's iron grip. "I do need to breathe."
no subject
Feeling her friend's shiver and sudden stiffness however, she pulled back a little, though her arms stayed loosely around the girl's neck. Personal space? What personal space? "Sorry about that, I guess I got a little carried awa-" Pause. Blink blink. Yang's hands ran across her her partner's skin curiously, then with slightly more vigor as her eyes widened in surprise.
"Your skin is so soft! This is so unfair! Blake!" Taking a half step closer, as if that were even possible, she looked into her friend's eyes, an incredibly serious look overtaking her features, mere inches away from the other girl's face. "You've totally been holding out on me, what do you do to your skin to keep it so soft?"
[[And just as they get warmed up, I gotta pass out. It's 4am hereeeee. I shall endeavor to awaken at a reasonable hour and catch you then if you're awake! :)]]
no subject
She pulled in a breath when Yang pulled back, trying to get a neutral expression back on her face and not let on how flustered she was.
"It's okay, just... what?" Her eyes widened again when Yang moved in again and started running her hands over her pale skin. She made a small, slightly panicked noise in her throat when Yang closed in and slowly curled her fingers closed, keeping her arms at her sides. "Um... is it? I don't really do anything."
Jeez, had they bumped the water temperature or something? It was getting awfully warm in here all of a sudden.
[OOC: Aw, rats. Well, it's Saturday so I'll be up late tonight and eagerly awaiting your tag. Sleep well!]

For her part, Yang thrived on physical contact. Clothed or not hardly made a difference to her. Though if she'd been pressed to comment, she would have said that it felt much warmer and softer this way than with clothes on. It definitely wasn't something she would have complained about.
Her hand didn't stop their stroking of her partner's skin as she forgot about personal space boundaries again and took a half step closer, her ample chest pressing absent-mindedly against Blake. "Noooo you've gotta be kidding me! This is totally unfair! How come your skin is so perfect! Ughhh, I would kill to have skin like yours!" At her friend's panicked noise she tilted her head curiously, looking into her eyes again before setting a hand to Blake's forehead.
"Are you feeling okay? You look all flushed." Not to encourage stereotypes, because Yang was anything but a dumb blonde, but she could sometimes be just a tad...obtuse.
It was warm, definitely. Deliciously, comfortably so. In fact, Yang was was enjoying their proximity immensely. So much so that any thoughts of returning to her stall had vanished into thin air.
[[Aaaand, my weekend went by just like that. Back to slow tagging, then! But I'll be here! :)]]
no subject
Oh, physical contact wasn't completely alien to her. She'd been hugged, been close with people before but never like... this, and it had certainly never stirred up the kinds of feelings that were rushing through the dark-haired girl right now before. As Yang's hands continued their explorations, Blake's rigid posture slowly gave way, relaxing against the warmth of Yang's body and subconsciously inching forward to close some more of the gap between them herself.
And then Yang's hand came up to her forehead, yanking her out of her thoughts. Blake blinked once or twice then smiled a little. Of course, it was just Yang being herself.
"It's nothing. But you know," slowly, one of her hands came up, moving slowly over Yang's shoulder and around to her back, "your skin's pretty nice too."
[OOC: Ah, I hate when that happens. Well, slow-tagging until the weekend then!]
no subject
Physical contact was something Yang was entirely used to. Back at Signal she'd had her fair share of 'encounters' with boys and one or two girls as well. As she felt her partner's tenseness fade though, her lips turned up a little in a small smile of triumph. That was definitely a win in her book.
As Blake's hand began to wander however, she tilted her head in surprise for a moment, searching her partner's face curiously. At those words though, her small smile morphed into a full blown smirk. So that was how it was. Well, it wasn't something she'd gone in there expecting (to be honest the 'decision' to jump into her friend's shower was rather less of a decision and more of an impulse) but it was most definitely something she could work with.
Taking a step forward, she set one arm on the wall behind Blake, leaning a little closer, still smirking. "Why, Miss Belladonna, if someone happened to come by they might think you were coming on to me."
no subject
It just wasn't something she was used to be. There hadn't really been any... "encounters" in Blake's past. A lack of time, motivation and just her focus on training and what had been her goal at the time had seen to that. She wasn't unaware of that... aspect of life, but it just wasn't one she had a whole lot of experience dealing in.
There was another brief flare of panic when Yang's expression turned to one of surprise and she pulled her hand back a little. Oh no, had she gone too far? And then Yang managed to close even more of the space between them and her eyes flickered over to the arm that was suddenly beside her head, before locking on Yang's with only a little bit of a deer-in-headlights look behind them.
"I-I... um...." Oh, god, what was she supposed to do now?
no subject
For her part, they hadn't been a huge part of what she'd been doing. But hey, it was school, when she'd wanted to relax and let her hair down, why not indulge a little? Still, her main focus had been to learn how to fight, and despite whatever 'extracurriculars' she may have dabbled in, she'd come out the top of her class. That by no means meant she didn't know how to let loose though.
Really, how many times had she seen that look on her partner's face? No more than a handful, but it just seemed to get all the more adorable the more she saw it. Grinning, she leaned even closer, shaking her head amusedly at the other girl's sudden backing off. Her lips just barely brushed her teammates, as she leaned even closer, still meeting her gaze.
"Well? Don't stop now, you were just getting to the good part." Oh no, Blake. You've released Flirty Yang. Be afraid, be very afraid.
no subject
Even so, that rational, focused part of her mind was in full force. This was a bad idea, at best it would complicate things within the team and at worst... well, Blake still had secrets that she kept for good reason. If she went down this road and they came out later....
Then she felt that brush against her lips and that other, deeper part of her mind grew even louder. The deer-in-headlights look faded away to something else entirely and her breath quickened a little.
"I...." The rational part of her brain finally lost out and she moved in closer, pressing her lips against Yang's softly, her hand coming to rest on her shoulder again.
no subject
Overthinking had never been one of Yang's strong suits. Besides, she'd been in way worse situations than having to be on the same team with someone she'd been intimate with. Whatever happened, they'd make it work and they'd come out better for it, she was sure. After all, Blake was the last person she'd ever want to hurt.
When she felt her companion give into it, she broke into a smile, though it only lasted for an instant, because in the next moment, she had those soft lips pressed against her own. Sliding her arms around her partner's waist, she pulled them flush against each other, taking another step to back Blake up against the wall as she enjoyed their first kiss.
no subject
And then at Beacon with her team everything had changed and for a little while, she could almost forget her own hurt. She could be happy.
Those memories were in the back of her mind but quickly evaporated when she felt her back hit the wall. As well as any worries about not knowing what to do next. Instinct took over and both her arms wrapped around Yang's shoulders and she deepened the kiss, making a soft sound in the back of her throat.
no subject
In Yang's mind, Blake was already as good as family. They were a team, they were partners, they looked out for each other. It wasn't just about the battlefield, she genuinely cared about her as a friend. She would have given an arm to keep her from being hurt again in any way.
"Mmm~♥" She pressed into the kiss in return, enjoying their shared warmth, her arms tightening around her partner. Who would have thought they'd have ended up like this? But now, they were here, and warm, and it was all good and wow but how had she never noticed how fit Blake was before?
no subject
She was her teammate, her partner, her friend... and maybe something more than that. She didn't think there was anything that could hurt Yang but if anything ever tried, it would have to get through her first.
Any hesitance abandoned, Blake only broke from the kiss to grab a short breath and even then only when it felt her lungs might burst only to press her lips against Yang's again a heartbeat later. One hand drifted down from Yang's shoulders, moving down her back before wrapping around her waist and pulling tight. The wall behind her was starting to warm up but it was nothing compared to the warmth coming from Yang and she wondered how she could feel so soft and so powerful all at once. Her other hand stayed where it was, fingers threading through Yang's hair.
One for the road. ;)
Partners, she'd always liked how that word could be taken to mean so many different things. She thought that it described her relationship with her dark-haired teammate perfectly. They went so well together, balanced each other and drew the best out of each other, on the battlefield and off. This, if she spared a moment to think about it, seemed like only another logical step in their relationship. Why the hell not?
That pause was just enough for Yang to catch her own breath and smile again, before she happily surrendered her lips to that second kiss. Feeling the hand slide to her waist, she grinned against her partner's lips, pulling back just slightly to look into her eyes, fingers trailing teasingly up and down her spine. This was something she could definitely get used to, and it would be such an adventure to keep it a secret from her sister and Weiss for awhile, just for the hell of it. Leaning into the fingers tangled in her hair, that in itself a complete gesture of trust knowing how protective she was of her hair, she planted a kiss to the tip of Blake's nose, smirking at her.
"So, looks like you've got me right where you want me, huh?" Leaning down, she kissed a trail slowly across her partner's jawline to her ear before whispering. "I knew you couldn't keep your hands off me."
no subject
Blake wasn't convinced that logic had anything to do with what was happening now. Logic said that this was a bad idea, but right now, she didn't care what logic said. She didn't even care what they would tell the other half of the team, or what they would say. That focus was back but this time, it was on Yang.
She made a quiet sound of protest when Yang pulled back from the kiss, and a light shiver ran through her at the hand on her back.
"You..." she sucked in a shaky breath and tilted her head to the side, giving Yang easy access for those light kisses along her jaw, the hand in her hair settling on the back of her head to hold her there, "... you started it."
no subject
No, there were definitely a whole lot more appealing things to think about than logic right at this moment. Yang would definitely do all the talking if it came down to it, after all, she knew how Blake liked her privacy. Hopefully, they could keep the whole thing a secret for awhile, that would just make it so much more exciting. Though really, that was the furthest thing from her mind.
Nipping playfully at her partner's ear, she laughed, a low, breathy laugh. This was the last thing she'd had on her mind, but now they were here, feeling Blake's soft skin against her own had lit a fire somewhere in her core. Pressing their bodies close again, her tongue flicked out teasingly across the shell of Blake's ear. "Guess I better finish it then, huh?"
Her kisses trailed lower, tracing her partner's pulse slowly down her neck, to meet her shoulder, before arduously working their way up her throat again, back to her lips. One hand slid up across Blake's skin to idly stroke the point of one of those cat ears.
no subject
"You'd better." She managed, leaning her head back against the wall behind her as Yang's lips traced along her neck, her pulse already racing beneath them. The hand on the back of Yang's neck tightened a little while the other did a little exploring, moving along her back and waist, one leg looping around hers to keep them close together.
When Yang came up again, she eagerly moved forward to catch her in another heated kiss, which lasted just until Yang found one of those ears and she pulled back a little with a sharp gasp, a noticeable shiver running through her.
