5. Concussion. No, they're most likely not holding up fifteen fingers.

[ during the annual summer solstice festival, a hearty game of rugby between the men of the village turns wrong when thor slips on a wet patch of grass and sprains his ankle. he doesn't make any noise, doesn't even acknowledge it as he stands back up and attempts to chase after fandral for the ball.

his mother isn't having any of that, interrupting the game by walking onto the field and dragging the 200+ lbs and 6'3" thor off by the tail of shirt. after receiving a bag of ice for his ankle and a candied apple for his mouth, he's set off to sit on the bleachers until the feast begins. ]

Brother! [ despite the injury, thor is still all smiles as he limps to loki at the bleachers. he eases himself down next to his brother then elevates his ankle, gently placing the ice on the swelling. ] I was good out there, wasn't I?

[why the taller soldiers had started cleaning and maintenance on the bottom racks of gear is beyond him, but it leaves Armin staring up at the scabbards wedged onto the shelves a might too far off the ground for comfort. he'd gotten a footstool, but perching on it does little to alleviate the intimidating angle at which they loom.]

[he should have asked. he really should have. but against better judgement, fingers brush along the bottom edge of a heavy metal box in an attempt to encourage them down. a little bit too successfully, as it'd happen; like a tipping scale, the blades inside shift forward and bring the entire set toppling down on the young boy with a cacophenous clatter and a startled cry. hands already up, they do their best to deter any corners from drilling into his skull as he crashes backwards off the stool and sprawls in the wreckage.]

Thankfully the faculty took care of the tougher ones and there were no casualties. But with Ruby's reckless behavior, she got herself some pretty nasty cuts, and Weiss having their leader's back also got some injuries of her own, albeit not as bad as Ruby's.

It was Dog that did him in. One moment Aedan was wandering across camp to see Bodah and then he was face down in the dirt with his ankle killing him. He heard Dog barking which clued him in that the damn beast was chasing something, got in front of him and made him fall.

The best part, the whole camp saw.
