Human beings are a strange animal. While their need for sex can be less all-consuming than certain other species, they have it a lot more often and in a lot more creative ways. Still, they're not animalistic, you know. They have morals and modesty and humility. That's why they don't run around rutting like wild beasts.

At least, that is, when they have something separating them and the rest of the animal kingdom.

This little bubble of the multiverse is no longer keeping that status quo. A lucky selection of inhabitants will find themselves a bit wilder than usual. Suddenly, there is a drive to fuck, fight, and procreate like never before. Some, the most affected, might have animal ears and tails. But even if some don't, all will be changed on the inside. Many here are "heat," and it can be sensed by everyone. Of course, this leads to the expected. Call of nature and all that, you know. Those in heat will be driven to offer themselves up, the urge to be bred extremely strong. Even to those with strong wills can't resist the siren song forever. Dominant personalities will become very dominant, and submissives will do anything to please their mates.

Sex isn't the only thing this mating season entails, however. There will also be the instinct to fight over mates, and then to protect the lover and the possible offspring growing inside them. Some might even have the desire to take multiple mates. You know, got to keep the line going. All in all, things might get a bit...hairy.

Just a few notes:
-This doesn't follow "traditional" gender/biology roles. Female characters can be alphas, male characters can get pregnant (if you wish), and same-sex couplings are perfectly viable.
-If your character has animal ears and a tail, that doesn't lock them to one certain species. For example, if a guy has dog ears, he can still mate with catgirls and such.
-Feel free to mix in other kinks, such as lactation for cowgirls and anything else you can think of. Noncon is also possible. Just be respectful of others' limits.
-You can leave your comment blank or come up with a basic set-up.]

[Well. He was about to take a stroll and shake off this odd feeling, but then there was a ninja in his way - and Tian can't really walk right through him, could he? It wouldn't be polite.

Unfortunately ninja are silent and the mage is blind, so this was a bit awkward...]

Ah, can I help you?

[ Sasuke had also been trying to shake this feeling, but no matter what he does it kept getting stronger.

And then he saw the other man and it overwhelmed him to the point he was here, nearly toe-to-toe with a stranger when he normally did not go near people at all. ]

A-ah...I...

[ What could he even say? ]

[He smiles a little, calmly reaching out to put one hand on the seemingly confused young man. That way, he would at least know where Sasuke was.]

Take a deep breath, and tell me your name?

[ A deep breath? When his entire body seemed electrified just at being touched? ]

...Sasuke...

[ Before he even realized what he was doing, the small man had tilted his head to the side, rubbing temple and cheek against the stranger's arm like an overly-affectionate cat. ]

[Well. That was special. Giving a somewhat amused sigh, the mage pets Sasuke's head... and there's an odd tingling sensation spreading from the touch that makes Tian gasp.

There was some odd magic in the works, here.

Pulling Sasuke closer, he wraps his arms around him, dropping both his book and staff.]

[ So warm and so close -- exactly what Sasuke had not realized he needed. Suddenly his shyness is gone, overtaken by the strange instinct in him. His fingers curl in the mage's robe as he leans forward, nuzzling his neck and jaw without hesitation. ]

[He might be a healing mage and an elder, but Tian wasn't dead below the waist and that closeness just makes the growing heat worse. Tian leans his head slightly to the side to give Sasuke access, a bit surprised to see how easily he was giving in.

He might be blind, but his fingers are already mapping out where his new acquaintance's clothes opened. He could multitask.]

I can't --

[ It's something of an apology, even as he begins to nibble at the soft skin of Tian's jaw. He starts to tug at the robe, gloved fingers seeking for clasps himself. ]

Can I...? Please. Yes.

[ He peels back the high collar without waiting for an answer, pressing a kiss against his throat. ]

[And there is a rather startled Yuri taking a quick step back as she tugs her top down the rest of the way over her chest bindings. What the hell is it with these ninja, just sneaking out of the trees like that?! All she wanted was a quick bath in the river, then to get back to the castle before anyone noticed Yuri had disappeared to begin with.

And all that was left to do was pull 'his' jacket back on and pull back his hair and he could do that.

Except for the fact that this one just popped out of nowhere.

A quick, suspicious glare gets sent his way, Just how much did the bastard see?!, as Yuri reached up to gather 'his' hair.]

T-the hell?! What's your problem? Whatta ya' staring at?!

[ That is a very good question. Sasuke's head feels thick with instinct he does not understand or know how to control.

Yuri smell so nice...

Sasuke's cheeks color and he stumbles back, trying to look away. ]

You?

[Yuri frowns a little more, verdant eyes still trained warily on... on...

On that blush. It was kind of... well she's not entirely sure what it is, but she can't help but stare at him for it.

How odd.

'He' leans in when Sasuke shifts back, damp hair falling around her shoulders as she cants her head to the side, curious.]

...You what?

N-nothing... I don't... feel well.

[ He has to get away. Normally fleeing is so easy, yet something is keeping him rooted here, then same desire that makes him want to press closer to Yuri. ]

Oh.

[Well that had her taking a hasty step back. She shot him one last, unsure look, then turned to the side a bit and began to gather her hair once more, verdant eyes scanning her mess of things to find the belts needed to hold the zipperpants up properly, her eyes slightly downcast.

She had to be imagining things, really, because for a second... she'd thought he'd seen the bindings, or realized her secret, but no. She was safe, still.]

Well shit - if you're gonna get sick, go toss it over there by the trees and not on me. I don't need a second bath tonight. Water's damned cold!

...no... like that this sickness is not...

[ His gaze moves now, back to her, eyes flicking over her hips and abdomen. The blush grew in his cheeks, even as his fingers twitched at his side. ]

[She glances back up at that, a little unsure, then drops her hands down to her sides now that most of her hair is pulled back. Rather than reach for the belts, however, she steps closer once more to glance from his hand to his face once more - her own expression one of curious exasperation.]

Then what the hell's wrong with you, eh?!

[ Sasuke steps toward her again, one of those hands coming out to catch a lose lock of hair. He presses his nose into it, breathing deeply. ]

A wonderful smell you have.

[ it would be a complete lie to say that Judith had never been approached by a man before, especially when said man had no regard for personal space.

It's just rare that a.) this happens when she's fresh from a fight and b.) that he hasn't tried to grope her.

Slightly amused and more than a little curious, she cups a hand on her hip and tilts her head. ]

You're not the politest stranger, are you?

[ Sasuke blinks slowly at her, as if uncomprehending.

Then he shakes his head swiftly, trying to clear it of the intense fog that seems to be distorting his every thought. ]

[ Judith studies him, for all appearances nonchalant. Human, certainly-- though not quite like any of her companions. He didn't have Yuri's smooth confidence or Raven's flirtatious nature, from the looks of him. Too wild-looking for Estelle's gentleness. Maybe as volatile as Rita; time would tell. Perhaps as awkward as Karol.

... It makes her want to tease him a little. At the very least, something about him is surprisingly intriguing. ]

If I was the type to be bothered by staring, I'd be very boring. Did you need something?

[ He ends up staring at her again, head tilting to the side. ]

You smell wonderful.

[ off killing monsters and hanging out with a giant dragon, and a compliment? She can't suppress a chuckle, head tilted in response so that a few strands loose from her bun tickle her neck. ]

Would you like a second sniff, then?

[ His mouth is talking, and, at this point, Sasuke has no control over it. ]

[ in response, she crooks a finger. He might need some prompting, but she's certainly not about to coddle him. If he wants her, he can come to her. ]

[ At the invitation, he steps nearer, most of his normal wariness gone. Her scent fills his senses, making the dizziness worse. ]
