Human beings are a strange animal. While their need for sex can be less all-consuming than certain other species, they have it a lot more often and in a lot more creative ways. Still, they're not animalistic, you know. They have morals and modesty and humility. That's why they don't run around rutting like wild beasts.

At least, that is, when they have something separating them and the rest of the animal kingdom.

This little bubble of the multiverse is no longer keeping that status quo. A lucky selection of inhabitants will find themselves a bit wilder than usual. Suddenly, there is a drive to fuck, fight, and procreate like never before. Some, the most affected, might have animal ears and tails. But even if some don't, all will be changed on the inside. Many here are "heat," and it can be sensed by everyone. Of course, this leads to the expected. Call of nature and all that, you know. Those in heat will be driven to offer themselves up, the urge to be bred extremely strong. Even to those with strong wills can't resist the siren song forever. Dominant personalities will become very dominant, and submissives will do anything to please their mates.

Sex isn't the only thing this mating season entails, however. There will also be the instinct to fight over mates, and then to protect the lover and the possible offspring growing inside them. Some might even have the desire to take multiple mates. You know, got to keep the line going. All in all, things might get a bit...hairy.

Just a few notes:
-This doesn't follow "traditional" gender/biology roles. Female characters can be alphas, male characters can get pregnant (if you wish), and same-sex couplings are perfectly viable.
-If your character has animal ears and a tail, that doesn't lock them to one certain species. For example, if a guy has dog ears, he can still mate with catgirls and such.
-Feel free to mix in other kinks, such as lactation for cowgirls and anything else you can think of. Noncon is also possible. Just be respectful of others' limits.
-You can leave your comment blank or come up with a basic set-up.]

N-no it's nothing you did Nepeta.

[She wouldn't say anything else and the concern Nepeta had for her only made her face flare up more.]

[She wasn't deterred.] Well then what are you doing? [She nuzzled the back of her head again, hoping to communicate that whatever it was, she was here to help. It was an instinctual action.]

Hiding

[She didn't know why she was being honest but there was no way she could tell Nepeta what she was hiding from. Even if those nuzzles felt way better than usual.]

Hiding? Well why are you doing that, silly. It's just me. [She was surprised she got an answer, but maybe the nuzzling was helping then. She continued to do that, letting her nose and lips travel over one of Karkata's new ears]

Heehee, I know I can be a fearsome lioness but you're Karkitty, my furriend [And she would wish, something more]

[That felt far too good and made her squirm.]

Fine. but if I do you have to promise me you won't tell anyone else.

I purromise. I won't tell a soul, not even Equius.

Alright.

[She trusted Nepeta more than most trolls so she gathered her courage and turned back around to show her blushing face.]

[There is definitely a look of surprise there for a moment when she finally sees that blush, and thus Karkata's blood color. She can only assume Karkat has the same, and a lot suddenly seems to make sense. The grey symbol and text, the often hostile attitude, the defensiveness where blood is concerned.

Nepeta knows enough about the hemospectrum to know that red--at least one that bright, is not "normal". But Nepeta is also just one of those trolls who honestly did not give a damn about blood color, and felt that no one should.

She felt a little honored that Karkata would trust her enough to show her this, and she knows how scared she must feel right now so she gives her a bright smile.]

Hmm~? I don't see anything wrong. You still look the same as always--still are the same as always. I must be missing something. [Her tone was slightly teasing, trying to indicate she knew what Karkata had been trying to hide, but that it was no big deal to her.]

[Hearing that teasing tone made her scowl slightly but it wasn't true anger. Really she had to act like herself to fend off the idea of hugging Nepeta and crying. She was so scared of what would happen if anyone found out she was a red blood.]

Yeah nothing different.

And as long as you always as Karkata that's all that matters to me. [And when she scowled, Nepeta just laughed. She didn't know why but the reaction was so very her and reminded Nepeta of all the things she loved about Karkat--male, female, any alternate verse.

She wasn't quite sure why she did it then. It wasn't something she really thought about. If she had she certainly wouldn't have had the courage to go through with it but she just very suddenly leaned down, and very gently kissed her.]

[Well that all certainly made her blush even more but she wouldn't push Nepeta away. If it lasted for long enough Karkata would even let her arms loosely wrap around her.]

[Her lips linger on Karkata's before it finally clicks what she is doing. She jerks her head back a little, but doesn't fully pull away. Her own face has now turned green in a small blush.]

I. Er. Sorry I probably...should have asked first.

Uh....

[So much blushing right now.]
