The Market

The Market
Ah, a new customer! Welcome, welcome to the Market!
Not much of a name? Why, what do you mean? It's quite concise and descriptive, I assure you, for this is a place for buying-- and buying the finest specimens of, hm, indentured servitude, I assure you, that you might find anywhere in the multiverse. Yes, yes, I've heard the nicknames before, but I assure you, this is the Market and so it shall remain for as long as those of discerning tastes and, ahem, if I dare say, deep pocketbooks, require what we have to offer.
For here we can offer you whatever it is that you wish, whatever you can dream of, anything. For a price, of course, but you wouldn't be here if you weren't able to pay....
Ah, yes, I beg your pardon for today's delay. Some bleeding-heart so-called "rights group" caused a fuss, tried to release an entire pen full of stock, but not to worry, they've been, ah. Dealt with. Allowed inside, you might say, hah?
Well, then, as I was saying. The Market contains all manner of slaves for purchase, whatever your individual needs might be. Let's see what might interest you, shall we?
We'll begin with our most popular selection, the animal types. There's all manner of variety here, though, don't mistake me-- anything from intelligent beasts (with or without full awareness, that's up to you, no additional charge) to the mostly-humanoid with some altered features. See, here, these dogs make excellent guards, quick and clever as any human. Or these over here, with just that feline cast to their features, plus the ears? Quite popular and decorative.
Is that not interesting enough for you? We do have all manner of exotic types, I assure, not simply the standard breeds. Should your fancy turn to dragons or unicorns or griffins, we can certainly accommodate that. Perhaps a centaur? Quite useful, though they can be so difficult to feed...
Ah! Yes, you've noticed our more mechanical selection! Again, there's a range here, depending on your needs-- some have been fitted with cybernetic augmentation, additional strength or enhanced senses, and so forth. Or if you prefer, we have these full-cyborg models, quite useful for labor, they keep going until they run out of fuel. Oh, yes, they have full human intelligence, soul transfered over, not my specialty but I'm sure the handlers could explain to your satisfaction.
These? Oh, yes, the sculpted group is the most varied, and popular with collectors. You see, we add alterations without losing that base humanoid appearance. Improved, certainly, but usually not too exotic (unless that's to your taste, of course, of course!). They could be taller, smaller, thinner, plumper-- or we could add features, perhaps? Devil horns, maybe, or additional eyes or limbs? This lovely model was based on the standard "fairy" type (the wings, I'm afraid, do incur an additional surcharge) while over here, this one was given increased musculature and a bit of facial sculpting for attractiveness. Bound for the gladiator arena I'm certain, that one.
If your taste runs to the more decorative, however, this section is the banks of what we call "statuary", slaves molded into certain pleasing shapes. And textures, yes, see this one still feels like flesh (go on, touch!) but here we have glass, or marble. Oh, of course we provide you with keywords to allow movement when you wish, to reshape them or, well, whatever strikes your fancy.
And here we have the blanks, ready and waiting to be sculpted to your exact specifications while you watch! Anything, anything you'd like, no request too strange, and oh, well...
A bit closer, closer, a word in your ear-- should you like a bit of sculpting yourself while you're here? Some changes, improvements, we can certainly--
What? Certainly not, why would we then try to sell you? What an utterly ridiculous idea, ridiculous, I say! We'd never treat a paying customer in such a manner!
Ah, but it seems the auction is about to begin. You wouldn't want to be late! Simply let me know if you need any further assistance, and we thank you for patronizing the Market....
HOW IT WORKS:
♦ As the name implies, it's a slave market...but with a twist. Your character could be shopping at the market or a slave (choose from one of the bolded types or pick your own!), whether in the pens, up for auction, or just purchased. Body horror? Power games? Whatever strikes your fancy.
♦ Leave a comment with your character's name and fandom in the subject, and please fill out this form to help others tagging in know what you're interested in playing:
This meme is open to smut and non-smut options, as well as other potentially triggering material, so please be sure to state what you want!
♦ Have fun, and be sure to respect others' comfort zones!

Mitsuru Kirijo | Persona 3
Age: 18
Description: Embodiment of the Empress arcana, privileged and perfectionist "ice queen" type who cares sincerely for those under her leadership.
Role: Slave
Want: Very interested in settings where she loses her preferred control, especially statue or mechanical. Willing to consider animal/exotic depending on situation. Super extra bonus points for someone (either buyer or fellow slave) to establish dominance, transformation/body horror, doing terrible things to her mind, etc. Also interested in the idea that she was brought in as a buyer without exactly realizing what was being sold and ended up a slave, or came to get minor body modifications for herself but was given something more major and put up for auction. (I'm more interested in the consequences of modification/having her bought off the block than specifically playing out the changes, though I'm not averse to it.) I'm open to a lot, just ask if you want to work anything out.
Do Not Want: PWP.
Yosuke Hanamura | Persona 4 | OTA
Age: 17
Description: A teen jerk-with-a-heart-of-gold, quick to speak but not necessarily to think about what he's saying. Bored with his smalltown life, but this wasn't how he wanted to get away!
Role: Slave
Want: Body horror and mindscrew/brainwashing a-go-go! Seriously, turn him into anything for your evil needs: I'm up for playing either the modifications or the aftermath. He's a natural speedster with latent pseudo-magical powers (his Persona), so those might make nice ~additions~.
Do Not Want: Smutty stuff, solid statuary.

Still, Xemnas has been picky about those he looks for. Not everyone is going to be uniquely qualified to bear that which he requires. This one, however... this one has a certain amount of potential. Enough to get Xemnas to stop in front in Yosuke at rate.
Not that he says anything. Instead, he simply beckons the boy forward. It's time to see how biddable he is.]
no subject
And he's been hating every second. Fight back? Sure, he tried initially. But he's unarmed, chained, not even fully dressed (never mind his headphones being taken!) and can't summon his Persona - so he's basically just sulking and worrying about what's going to happen to him.
It's been rare enough that anyone's actually stopped to take a closer look at him. One or two - but they'd moved on. Obviously found some other poor bastard to take home instead. Least it wasn't him, a cruel little voice keeps saying. At least the worst-case scenarios his mind's cooking up aren't playing out. Perhaps if no-one does go for him they'll let him go eventually...? No idea.
When Xemnas shows up, then? As far as he's aware, this new buyer's no different. He's not going to step forward. Not going to be the obedient little thing that might be wanted by someone staring at him half-dressed. But he is going to look back at Xemnas - silver hair, huh, he wishes someone else like that were here too, maybe they'd stand a chance... - and speak up.]
I'm not what you're looking for, okay?
[His voice is giving away his nervousness even as he says that much...]
no subject
I believe I would be the best judge of that.
[Even the sullen nervousness is something that he can make use of. Once a heart turns to darkness, then it is so very hard to get rid of that same darkness and that alone is so very tempting. How far will this one go to be rid of the cages, he wonders. What will it take to truly bend him to the darkness?
He doesn't ask, of course. He knows better than to admit his plans to someone who has yet to prove that they'll be capable of truly understanding.]
But perhaps you would care to explain what it is that makes you so "unsuited" to what I am looking for?
no subject
But a side that's still there. Deep in his heart.
Still, that's not what on his mind at the moment. What is is the fact that Xemnas isn't going anywhere fast. A stall keeper's watching the pair of them from a discreet distance, for now, but Yosuke's worry is enough that he's not currently paying attention in that direction... his reply's a little strangled-sounding.]
I - I don't do well with, uh..! I'm not good at sitting around and looking pretty or doing anything like...
[His panicky litany of misinterpretation trails off.]
There's got to be people who're better than me!
no subject
That is hardly what I want of you. Otherwise I would not have been here.
[There is so much more that he can see for Yosuke, and he would be wasted as a simple decoration.]
no subject
"So, you're not going to haul me off to some kind of creepy…"
[The slight relief's enough to get him thinking slightly straighter - gah, no, the being hauled off to a creepy harem might be the worst case scenario, but no matter what, this guy still wants to buy him like a pet! Or like - what? Regardless, it's wrong, wrong, wrong…]
"What am I saying? You're not going to haul me off to do anything! This isn't cool!"
[And yet, still - is it worse to be taken away than to be here and confined? This is so confusing… but he can't let on what he's feeling to this person, anyway.
(Not that it's not obvious how stressed he is.)
The salesman's stepping in, now, all smarmy and smart - apologies, sir, he hadn't known this specimen was so stubborn, if sir's still interested he can give a discount on the mental induction or customization packages… it's a habitual problem with these new ones, isn't it? Especially young and willful ones...]
no subject
["Not cool" though it may be, Xemnas is the best chance of salvation Yosuke has, especially if he doesn't want to made into something that will simply sit and look pretty on the shelf. He might not be the most ideal of owners, but that alone ought to be something better than many of the alternatives.
...As is the fact that Xemnas waves off the salesman's offer of discounts or packages. He prefers to do his work alone, and with the skills at his own command. Not that what the salesman offers isn't at least partially interesting, but there's no need for third party modifications here. Not when his needs are so very specialized already.]
Besides, you are here to be "hauled off" are you not?
no subject
[The last bit's just about whispered, and he slumps forward. He's too confused, right now, to get anything out that makes much sense. He wishes Xemnas wasn't making sense either, right now... he doesn't want to be anywhere except back home.
It takes him a little while to be able to respond further - a little while to process just what he's just heard. In a hesitant voice, he speaks up, weakly-]
... hey. You just told that guy 'no funny stuff', r-right? So... uh. What do you want to do?
no subject
Besides, there are few people that Xemnas can think of who would be willing to remain in a cage for the rest of their natural days. Nor would he want someone who had been so broken by their stay. A broken will is not what he wants to host his own.]
I require allies, for a project of mine. Normally, I would look elsewhere, but I am beginning to run out of time for looking how I normally might.

Michiru Kaiou | Sailor Moon
Age: 17 or so
Description: Graceful, refined, and talented, artist and violinist. Always exudes an air of distant, perfect confidence, but has a mischievous sense of humor. Oh, and she's Sailor Neptune.
Role: Slave
Want: Open to anything not in the NO section, but especially looking for: animal or exotic, as a graceful house pet, decoration, mermaid in a display tank, etc; statuary, as a display, posed with her violin to play on cue, or...?
Do Not Want: Not interested in mechanical or something that changes her personality too drastically.
statuary
As for her position, Sailor Neptune seemed to be frozen in mid-stride, her arms positioned in a way as if she was engaging in a ballerina's dance.
Knocking on the marble slightly with the back of her hand, Eudial observed, "So they managed to snag one of the Senshi? Impressive." And it cost Mugen a pretty penny to acquire her, too. The seller had provided her with several keywords to use if she wanted to all Sailor Neptune movement. It seemed like an odd thing to do, given that she was the enemy, but looking at Sailor Neptune's serene face, Eudial began to wonder if she *should* try some of the words; just to see.
no subject
She hated to be so powerless, but worst of all was not knowing what had happened to bring her to this point. Whatever blow had knocked her unconscious and led to her capture had also blurred her memories of the attack, leaving her wondering. Had Haruka escaped? Did she know what had happened to Michiru? Was she still continuing with the mission, as important as it was?
But there was nothing she could do but wait, outwardly silent and serene, posed to perfection for the enjoyment of her "owner". They had but to make one mistake, allow her just enough movement to attack, and she would be gone. This she had sworn to herself during the long hours of waiting, watching and listening to be certain that she was still aware and had not fallen into deeper captivity.
no subject
"After all, what's the point of having a captive if you can't have a little fun with her." Eudial mused out loud. But what word to use first? Going over a few of the words in her head, she eventually settled on what to say. With a smirk on her lips, she said;
"Dance."
Immediately, Sailor Neptune would feel the pressure on her arms begin to lessen. However her body was still stone, and the same cursed magic that petrified her forced her to gently sway her upper body, moving her arms in tandem. Unfortunately, movement in her legs was restricted and she was prevented from stepping off the pedestal.
no subject
As her arms rose up, by chance forming the initial movements of an attack, she reached within herself for the power that would have surged out along the downward stroke of her arms, but was halted abruptly, just before she could touch it. The power was there, wild and surging and scented like the wind-swept sea, but a barrier stood between her and it, much like the featureless stone encasing her.
Could she have frowned she would, but her face remained in the same pleasant expression in which it had been cast, her eyes blank and empty, lips curved just slightly in a faint smile. Add one more frustration to the pile, as she continued the movements, unable to stop.
no subject
"You might be a slab of marble now, but I know you can still hear me." Eudial spoke as Sailor Neptune continued to dance. "So you should probably know that we didn't pilfer you just so you could liven up the school break room." Her eyes narrowed slightly. "We're setting a trap for your partner in crime, that Uranus woman. Having you here is the perfect bait to lure her to us."
With that bit of information out there, there was something that Eudial desperately wanted to try out. "Stop." She spoke, compelling Neptune to freeze where she was. And then she said, "Speak." Eudial uttered this command, and Neptune would find that she had use of her stoned lips. While under this command, she would be compelled to divulge any information the witch wanted.
"I assume your girl-pal's got a secret identity, right?" Eudial assumed. "I doubt you two are running around in those tacky sailor-suits all day. How's about you tell me what her *real* identity is, eh?"
no subject
And then she stilled again, coming to a halt in a new pose, her head tilted so that she could not quite see the one to whom she spoke. She could feel the magic stir, though, feel the frozen stiffness fade from her lips, and in turn feel the push and prod of the compulsion bidding her to answer the question. Perhaps she might be able to resist and outright defy the demand for information, but it was far less exhausting to simply divert, to save her strength for upcoming battles.
"Princess Uranus of the Silver Millennium," she replied calmly, voice smooth and even as calm waters. "Guardian of the outer solar system." It was true enough, after all, for such she had been in her previous life and so was she now.
no subject
"Well, I suppose it doesn't matter, anyway." Eudial conceded. "As long as that pest continually interferes with our business, I'm sure she'll start poking around again without us having to seek her out. And Viluy's already worked to reverse engineer the power that has you trapped, so we'll be able to add her to our little collection of twits."
Eudial had little respect for her fellow witches, but she had to grudgingly confess that Viluy did fast, good work; taking in magical observations at the market while Mugen was haggling over Neptune's price.
Eudial rubbed her chin for a moment, thinking if she should ask anything else. On a whim, she inquired, "So, what's your *exact* relationship with 'Princess Uranus'? And try not to dance around the subject."
no subject
But without someone to watch her back? Without the guidance of Neptune's mirror? The difficulty of her task would be doubled without help, and she had their mission yet to fulfill.
The doubts crept slowly and refused to be entirely banished, and Neptune found reason to be grateful for the fact that her expression could not change, nor her body language betray her thoughts. "She is my partner," she replied calmly, choosing her battles and allowing this one to go unfought.
no subject
"And she's by herself without any support. And make no mistake, girl; she'll be facing the full brunt of the Witches 5. We aren't taking any chances on this." The witch added.
Eudial's lips curled into a cruel sneer. "When we take her down, I wonder what we'll do with her, hmmm? Both of you lovely ladies are gonna be at our mercy and there won't be a damn thing you can do about it. Tell me the truth-" Eudial got a little closer. "Does that thought scare you?"
