[ It was one of the last relatively warm days left in the year, so it as a good chance to get out a jog before things chilled down too much. Mako and Akihiko were pretty good at keeping pace with each other (though Mako did occasionally fall behind his fitness-freak of a boyfriend). He did his darnedest to push it, though, and that might have resulted in him losing focus and tripping on a crack in the path they were taking through the park. A crack wide enough to send him sprawling to the ground. ]

AH! [ That was loud. It hurt. He wasn't sure what hurt more: his face, his ankle, or his pride, but the latter forced him to attempt getting up as soon as possible. Of course, trying to put eight on his foot resulted in a yelp and leg dropped roughly against the ground. ]

[ How often do you see nobility walking the streets without any guards trailing in front of them, at their sides and behind them? The answer is not too often. Yet here they are. Byakuya with his wife at his side. In truth, there's no need for anyone else to guarantee Hisana's safety-- even without his sword, he's both feared and respected. And those who are neither of the two, Byakuya can take out with the use of his bare hands most likely, or at worst with basic kido skills.

His back is held straight, head high up, face trained into the typical haughty neutrality, that most everyone expects out of him. But the edge of it is taken off by the company walking alongside him, especially so whenever he looks down at Hisana to speak in a quiet, soft voice. ]
