ᴄᴀᴍᴘғɪʀᴇ - camping is the most fun when you're with someone else. roasting marshmallows, telling stories. nature's got it goin' on.

ᴘᴀʀᴋɪɴɢ - you're at the lover's lane, parked at the peak overlooking the city, it's just you and someone else in the car. maybe it's time to steam up the glass or hey, you guys can just talk if you want.

ғɪʀᴇᴡᴏʀᴋs - may it is the fourth of july, the new year, or just because, but there's fireworks shooting off and they're magical. or scary. it depends on what floats your boat.

ʟᴀᴛᴇ ɴɪɢʜᴛ sᴡɪᴍ - maybe you're at the beach or in the backyard pool or at the lake, maybe you're going to skinny dip or maybe you'll 'fall' in with all your clothes. either way, swimming at night is pretty much always fun.
sᴋʏ ʟᴀɴᴛᴇʀɴs - perhaps you've lost someone dear and you want to do something to remember them by, maybe you're making a wish for the future.

[ Buffy sat cross legged in front of the fire. She had a s'more between her index finger and her thumb in an effort to avoid getting it all over her. The effort was in vain, because there's melted, half burned marshmallow smeared on the palm of her hand and chocolate smudged across her knuckle. There's one bite taken out of the s'more. ]

Okay, when I said camping might not be my thing, I think I lied. Or...possibly...just the s'mores part of camping is my thing.

There was something to be said about swimming in the altogether under the stars. It had been far too long since Zoey had had an opportunity to do so; there had been no chance at the Carnival, and before that there had been no time. Her search to find her father was too important to waste time on such trivialities.

Here at the Temple, however, there was nothing BUT time, so when she stumbled across the lake in the late hours, open the sky, the smell of flowers and Spring filling the air, the fancy had struck her. She slipped out of her skirt, her camisole, and her underwear, leaving them a puddle of fabric on the shore.

Then she was wading out into the water and sinking under its surface.

[Seeing Frank calmly toast his marshmallows on the fire is quite a sight for those who know him. After being scared, terrified at the simply idea of burning down in a fire all this time... well, he has a lot of lost time to make up for, and that apparently involves camping with his girlfriend.

He feels bad, in a way- the fact that he'd basically away taken the physical proof of the bond they shared, the trust between them from her hands. He knows she understood- he saw it in her eyes. But he also saw the hurt in them.

Still, this is the closest he's been to fire in... a long while, and he has Leo to thank for it. He wants to talk to her about it, wants to reassure her- but he isn't sure how.]

I haven't done this in... forever. I have no idea how- are they done already? How do we know?

[It still didn't seem real, even nearly a month after their victory over Kefka. The world seemed to be waking up as if from a long sleep, and hope flowed from person to person, making it impossible not to smile.]

[There was so much that needed doing, especially in Terra's little corner of the world. The new baby needed to be fussed over, of course, and the children all missed their mama terribly, and the laundry and weeding had piled up considerably in Terra's absence; before she knew it the days had flown by and she had once again settled into her new life, but with a much lighter heart this time. She still missed her Esper side, like an ache in a phantom limb, but she was finding it easier and easier to cope as the days passed. Still, there was more than magic missing from her life, and when she received Edgar's carrier pigeon inviting her to a celebration at Figaro castle she was more than happy to attend.]

[For the first time in her life, she was content to be among a crowd, because these were all people that she cared for deeply. As night fell and the stars came out, she was delighted by the display of fireworks before her, once again showing her almost childlike innocence by gasping and applauding with glee as the colorful explosions lit up the night sky.]
