[ The Doctor's been looking forward to seeing the lunar eclipse complete with a small meteor shower afterwards. Of course, this can't be done by himself but he must find someone to share it with.

He looks over his shoulders at Newt, and he plops himself down on the ground with a chipper look on his face. ] This will be the best view of a lunar eclipse in a century, coupled by the Leonid meteor shower, and to make it even better we have clear skies and I was able to convince the city to turn the lights off.

[ Make that he did a little work to make sure the lights won't come on. ] Aaah, Newt! I live for nights like these, and perhaps this will be a sign of good things to come for planet Earth.

[ The last time she used a telescope was when she was ten when her brother had a project on outer space. She remembers being fascinated at how something so far away can be seen so severely close — close enough to make out shadows and details even.

She hasn't thought to do it again (though she does enjoy the stars and moon outside her window when she's composing) until the interest is sparked in her by something Sonia off-handedly said, to which Stormer suggested they look at the night sky through a telescope. ]

I can't even tell if this thing is working! [ Currently, she's struggling to maneuver it properly. Craig never showed her appropriately how, so she's a bit clueless on that front. She looks through the scope, sighs, and looks at Sonia with her eyebrows furrowed. She points her finger to the piece, suggesting she take a look. ] Does that look like anything to you?

[ Quietly, Remy comes up beside Ithuriel from behind. He doesn't try to mask his presence or hide it in any way, but he is a bit anxious in a way he can't fully describe.

He hasn't seen any of his brothers and sisters in a very long time, so Remy stays silent for the moment. After all, he's not sure how Ithuriel will react. ]

Arc knew that a lunar eclipse was seen as a bad omen by most people. They did look ominous, at least in the illustrations and descriptions he'd read in the Library of Saronia, but he had never found any mention of actual disasters happening right after in the historical texts.

And a full lunar eclipse was a rare event... he came up the hill with a haversack of food and some paper to write observations with, but he stopped when he saw a woman there. Arc hesitated. He had actually been hoping to do this on his own. But then, why would he be the only one interested in an eclipse? Maybe she was a scholar or an astronomer herself, right? "Um..... hello."

Though he wasn't nearly as timid as he had been, the surprise did still throw him into awkwardness.
