You are now trapped somewhere and there's no obvious escape coming. What now? I'd add more flavor text but I'm right now trapped in a class and there's no escape coming for the next two hours. I can't leave. So I'm going to live vicariously through fictional characters who...can't leave...

  2. In a window or some other non-standard entrance into a building! You know, it seemed like a good idea or you got locked out but that third story window was open so it seemed legit in terms of sudden entrances...
  
  3. In some vehicle in which getting out means that you will likely die, such as a submarine or a roller coaster that's on the top of a ramp and the ground is far, far away!
  
  4. In some obligation such as a...haha, class, a meeting, a boring office party, and your only hope for some scant entertainment is some clandestine texting or someone being cooler than they first appear.
  
  5. In some horribly embarrassing, ah, moment, like you were getting ready to have some fun, got tied up, and then there was a fire scare (stupid popcorn) and you were left there and wow, hello firefighter I'm just chillaxing here. Ha. Ha. ...
  
  6. On a nail or door that awkwardly closed at the wrong moment. Well, maybe you're not stuck, per se, but your coat, or your pants, or your skirt, or something along those lines is.
  
  7. Whack this a few times until you get a location. That's where you're trapped.
  
  8. Or something else.

8 stuck in line to a haunted house

There's no escape though. Nagisa won't let him run now. He's trapped. "A haunted house will be fun," he said! "A great Halloween experience," he said!!!!!! Even Makoto's desperate attempt to throw himself out of the line and go 'woops my bad, guess I can't go' didn't work. The others are behind Makoto and Haru in line, because Makoto wouldn't approach without his man-shield-best-friend between him and the house and Nagisa had to push him from behind to get him near the place. Their position in front will be the death of Makoto shortly, but we'll get there later...

They're near the front now, and Makoto had naturally inched closer and closer to Haru as impending doom drew near. An inch closer, he'd be pressed up against Haru, stiff as a board, but instead he kind of just clings to the hem of Haru's shirt.))

Option Une: The hunter avoided hospitals at all costs. They poked and prodded and always ignored the fact that whatever was inevitably ailing her was just a flesh wound and didn't actually warrant a stay here. Including multiple fractured ribs, blood loss, and a myriad of other mildly serious injuries. She sighed, rolling her head back to count the ceiling tiles for the umpteenth time. She had already been caught trying to sneak out early twice now. They've got nurses sitting outside her door. She's stuck here for awhile.

Option Deux: Samus had taken some time for a "personal business," which of course meant investigating abandoned space laboratories pro bono. Security was tight, but nothing she couldn't handle usually. Unfortunately, she didn't anticipate that when she tripped an alarm in this lab that it would not only lock the doors but the vents as well. So much for using the morph ball to get out of here. She sends out a distress call message: Stuck.]

[There's something peculiar to the design of nurse's stations the world over. A strange echo-chamber effect which means that gossip exchanged over one of their white counters can be heard up and down the hall.

"Is the mayor sick?" one nurse asks, depositing a sheaf of files and resting her arms on the counter.

"Whale said she's just in for meetings," whoever's buried behind all the paperwork replies. "She's had the whole surgical team in there, now just that one new surgeon."

"Doctor Chase? Hmm."

"What's the hmm for?"

"Oh, no reason. I can see why she'd want to get him alone."

"Sandra. The mayor, really?" The nurse at the desk stands and leans in to talk more conspiratorially, though without ever lowering her voice.

"Have you ever seen her with anyone? We all have needs, even Madame Mayor."

"He's a divorcee, I heard. I've been there - once the rebound kicks in you'll go after anything. Let me tell you, that's a whole world of bad decisions."

"There you go then. You'd better keep an eye on the conference room, let me know if the glass steams up."

And the sound of laughter echoes down the hall.]
