| THE LIST! 01] baby Suddenly, there's a new addition to your family! Are you expecting? Adopting? Struggling to find the perfect name for your child? Or maybe you're up at a ridiculous hour in the morning because they're crying like crazy. 02] just married Congratulations! You and your loved (?) one are about to start a whole new life together! It's time for the honeymoon... 03] house hunting Are you seeking out an apartment? A dream house? Or just any old place, as long as you're with your other? Make sure to weigh your options very carefully... 04] household chores It's time to clean/cook/garden/take care of something! Do you work together, or does one of you hide until everything is done? 05] shopping Whether it's for furniture, groceries, or something in between, shopping is something that everybody must do at some point in time! AAAAAND we officially have a babysitter.
[AND enter Rochelle. For once, she's wearing decent clothes. The new community they lived in used to be another overrun military outpost. But regular people came back in and thinned them out again. Plus, working electricity was nice. Then again, it was getting easier and easier for more than a few people to fight back. The zombies were dying off. But just because there weren't many in their particular area doesn't mean that there weren't a lot that still needed to be put down.
People were getting organized now. Inviting others who survived this to join the fight. Rochelle wanted to, but now she had a baby to think about too.
She takes her coat off, and offers Nick a lopsided smirk as she walks up to him.]
Coach volunteered. Ellis is there too, but. As long as Coach is there, I feel better about Ellis handling a one-year-old.

If we get her back in overalls, you know what I'm gonna do, right?
[He smiled a little bit as she came closer though. Hell, he might not be confident in Ellis's ability to watch a kid, but he did trust Selena with both him and Coach there to watch her. Meant they got a night off... which was kind of a relief. He had a feeling nothing could ruin a proposal like a one year old.
He leaned in to press a quick kiss to her lips, smiling wider against them.]

Ro laughs into the kiss as she rests a hand on his shoulder.]
A few hours with no diapers? Are you kidding me? [This was saying something. Ro had the occasional baby-less anxiety when anyone volunteered to give her a break from their daughter, but tonight she was more than happy to have some mama alone time.] So what do you wanna do?

He shifted closer and gives a grin.]

[Nick was definitely ready for some alone time. Well, mostly. There was still that question he wanted to ask... but maybe after a drink to settle his nerves.
It was fucking stupid being nervous about it when they'd already been living together for so long and had a kid together. It was just a commitment he never thought he'd make again.]

Good enough for me. What I wouldn't give for a working bar or something around here, though.

[He flashes a grin. There were things to do, but yeah... not exactly something romantic. Ah, well. He pulls her in a little closer and goes for another kiss.]

[Ro lifted her hooked hands up and freed Nick. The couch was right behind her, so she comfortably and exhaustedly fell back into it with a sigh.
Even finding a babysitter was tiring.]
She's using her "mama"s and her "dada"s more now. ... That's not romantic, I know.

Kinda has to go legit now that he's got a kid and... well, maybe a wife. He thinks she'll say yes anyway.
After the drinks are fixed, he goes to sit next to her, offering one out.]
We better enjoy it, you know... soon, she's going to be talking up a storm. We'll forget the days when all she could do is coo and look cute.

[Rochelle stifled a lopsided grin, but it was still obvious she was kidding back. She opened her eyes and--

Rochelle's eyes went wide as she stared at the box. Then Nick. Then the box. Then Nick. Then back to the box. Her hand slowly went over her mouth, half-hiding a gigantic smile that was spreading across her face.]

[Wow, was that really the first thing that came out of her mouth? Good job, Rochelle.
She always thought she'd get married one day. After the Infection, though? Not so much. And definitely not by the guy who was on one knee right in front of her. She knew he'd done it once already, but she could have NEVER imagined Nick on one knee. Not until now.]
