| THE LIST! 01] baby Suddenly, there's a new addition to your family! Are you expecting? Adopting? Struggling to find the perfect name for your child? Or maybe you're up at a ridiculous hour in the morning because they're crying like crazy. 02] just married Congratulations! You and your loved (?) one are about to start a whole new life together! It's time for the honeymoon... 03] house hunting Are you seeking out an apartment? A dream house? Or just any old place, as long as you're with your other? Make sure to weigh your options very carefully... 04] household chores It's time to clean/cook/garden/take care of something! Do you work together, or does one of you hide until everything is done? 05] shopping Whether it's for furniture, groceries, or something in between, shopping is something that everybody must do at some point in time! What varies is if they like it or not. 06] family vacation WE'RE OFF TO DIDNEY WOOOOOOOOORL or wherever ... well, as long as the kids are happy, right...? You may not be happy (or maybe you are), but it's mainly about ~family bonding~. 07] romantic retreat It's you and your loved one's anniversary, and you decide it's time to take some time off and take them somewhere nice, where you only have each other. 08] comfort Is somebody sick in bed? Or perhaps they just had a bad day? Sometimes, a good breakfast in bed or a home-cooked meal can really lift the spirits! Or perhaps you want to try medicine, or laughter, or something else? 09] pet Suddenly, you have another addition to the family! Is it a puppy? A kitty? A fierce dragon? Whatever it is, make sure to give it a name and to take good care of it! 10] holiday Happy birthday/New Years/Christmas/Valentine's Day/whatever! It's a very special day that only comes once a year, so make it count! 11] argument Oh, no, who left the stove on... Or maybe it's about why they were out late last night? Either way, there is a lot of tension today, and one of you may or may not be sleeping on the couch tonight. 12] making up It's time to make amends for that fight/divorce/whatever you had before! After all, you love each other... right? 13] surprise, surprise You are feeling rather loving tonight, so you want to remind the other person how much you cherish and appreciate them... if it's by something cute and adorable or hot and sexy is completely up to you. 14] proposal 15] other I know I'm forgetting like a bajillion and one different things here, so this is the option for that! |

[Now he's blushing. Chihiro can't handle all these compliments! But he's very thankful for them. He's used to being lifted up by this time, so he takes the duster again and nods.]

[He shuffles to the side, away from the fridge, so that Chihiro can reach over and dust off the tops of the cabinets as he sees fit. Though he's seemingly casual about everything, Makoto's hands are firmly held over Chihiro's knees to keep him in place.]
But you make it seem so easy.

[He still cleans as he talks, though his mood is through the roof. Just the simple talk of anything computer-related gets him excited. It's his talent, after all, and something he's comfortable with.]
And I like being useful. It makes me happy to be able to set things up and help out! I'd also like to teach you some things someday... i-if you'd like to, of course.

[Nice because it gets Chihiro to do something he's passionate about -- something he enjoys and that he's confident in. Makoto can't really ask for more in thanks.]

[After dusting and cleaning the top of the shelves, he looks down at Makoto, then smiling a bit more.]
I... I want to get stronger! I know I can't be as strong as you, but if I could at least swim and... get in some shape, I'd be happy.
[It's the thing he wants most. He's definitely been trying to work out, though he hasn't exactly been building muscle. If Makoto could get into such shape by swimming (and training), surely he could accomplish something, too.]

[And Makoto finally sets the other down onto his feet, taking their proximity into consideration and resting both of his large hands on the much smaller boy's shoulders.]
I know this doesn't sound like much, considering my build, but... Height and big muscles don't mean anything.
[One of his hands presses faintly against the center of his chest.]

[He breaks into a tiny fit of laughter.]

[He's heard that he has a strong heart before, but hearing it from Makoto is a different thing entirely. Chihiro puts a small hand over Makoto's. He looks like he might cry, but at least it's a good sign and not a bad one.]
I don't think you're weak-hearted at all, Makoto. You're the strongest person I know! Mentally and physically...

[It wouldn't do them any good if they were both to get emotional, so Makoto swallows it down and offers one of his encouraging smiles.]

Mm. You're welcome. I... want you to know I appreciate you, Makoto. You really do make me happy. So, thank you, too!
[With that, he moves to stretch out his arms for an embrace. Giving affection doesn't embarrass him or intimidate him as much as it used to, thankfully. He's overcome some things.]

[Oh... If nothing else, that's just grounds for Makoto to melt.
Not surprisingly, it's easy for him to scoop the other up into one of his giant bear hugs. Their size difference couldn't be any more apparent than it is when he hugs him, so Makoto takes it easy on Chihiro at first, wrapping one arm then the other around him with barely any pressure.
And after a few moments of sharing the same warmth and inhaling his scent, Makoto squeezes him. Not rib-cracking tight, but well enough that he easily lifts him off his feet while still keeping their embrace in tact.
He doesn't swing him around, though. They're in the kitchen. It's too narrow -- they might knock stuff down!]

[Chihiro definitely enjoys those giant bear hugs. They're so warm and full of tender care that he just melts right into them. He wraps his arms around him as best he can, breathing him in. He giggles at the squeeze, squeezing back tightly -- though that isn't very tight by his standards.
Pulling back a little bit, he shyly presses a kiss to Makoto's cheek before burying his face in his shoulder. His face is red, and so are his ears, though he tries not to show it.]

[His project isn't a major priority, though he won't dare intrude on any tasks Chihiro has to finish up.]
It's my turn to go buy the groceries. Maybe you can come with me and we can make dinner together?

[Unless there's a sudden need for them to use it... But he doubts that. Instead, he just glances up at the top of the fridge and the cupboards, where Chihiro just cleaned.]

Mm. Ah, I can sweep the floor! If you could make sure there's no dust on the counters, I would be grateful.
