Last night was pretty wild, or maybe it wasn't. You have just woken up, but you are not alone. Perhaps it is a stranger lying next to you, perhaps it's someone you know. It might be your significant other, or a one night stand. The fact remains that you are in bed together, naked (or maybe not) and something happened. Will you try to sneak away before they wake up, try for round two, or something else entirely?
HOW THIS WORKS:
1. Post with your character 2. Tag around 3. SHENANIGANS! 4. ??? 5. Profit
[ It's this that makes Helena's smile, the intimacy. The thing that her life has lacked in more recent years (if just to keep things uncomplicated). She's a charmer, and can grab the necessary attention, but since 'coming back' she's been alone in that respect. There's enough in her life to focus on, that could be complicated, and more that she couldn't even explain.
But here she hasn't needed to, or at least what she has told him has been understood enough. They've both had enough complexities to deal with, something that drew them together in their work, that it never seemed so complicated, or inexplicable. It rolled in simpler with everything else, and she found somewhat of a place.
But for this to almost fall into their lives, give her (and Helena would also guess that it gave him) the one thing that had been missing, especially if nothing became complicated? She'd be happy. One night or more.
The arm that Helena has free she uses to reach up his arm, letting her fingers trail upwards as her hand moved before settling on his arm. John sounds good, when he speaks, maybe happy. And what he's doing, by keeping her close, feels good, and thankfully not anything that could be awkward or a relationship ruiner - they still have everything outside of this when the moment is over, and she'd rather not see that lost ]
Good morning. [ Because it was a good morning if things kept on this nice track ] You slept well. [ It's a part guess, as Helena wasn't disturbed in the night but she was also sleeping rather deeply from the exhaustion of the long day(s). It's also (slightly awkward) small talk, because it's been quite a while since she'd been in a situation like this (especially without there being any other kind of relationship before the sex) ]
[The feeling of her fingers trailing along his skin raises his flesh and he finds himself instinctively pressing in a little closer. Between the sheets, there's still a part of them pressed together, skin-to-skin, and he can feel the difference between them there. It's a comforting heat, unobstructed, and he finds it hard not to concentrate on that while he hums out his approval.]
Mm, did, yeah. Think you did, too.
[His fingers splay across her skin and he presses a few kisses to her back since it's right there. Honestly, the night before was something of a flurry of motion and passion and excess, but he remembers it all pretty fondly. Flashes of memories have him smiling a little, mostly because he enjoys the idea that she actually had a chance to let go and he was able to follow along.]
[ The smile that's on her lips widens. The idea sounds nice, to stay there for longer, perhaps even go back to sleep (or revisit last night - she had no qualms about that idea). She was comfortable, content and relaxed. The situation felt good.
She tilted her head a little, trying to turn herself to look at him. As comfortable as she was pressed against him, the two spooned, she wanted to see him. To take in the sight of him in the early morning night, the possibly dopey expression on his face, and his happiness ]
I would be perfectly content in staying here.
[ And she hoped that he was too, that he wanted to stay with her, that he was content in doing so. She hoped as well that just because they were being close now, happy and curled together, that it meant nothing against their work relationship - that it wouldn't ruin it, at least ]
[He shifts with her, moving as he she insinuates herself more intimately against him. Fingers draw across her skin, gentle and barely-there, and his eyes close as he smiles at her.]
Won't see me kickin' you out.
[Feeling compelled, he presses in to brush his nose over her cheek, just to gently touch her because he likes the feel of her skin. She's soft, and sweet, and everything about her says that this was a good idea.
She isn't freaking out, she isn't demanding anything, she's just okay letting them both be. It's awesome.
Blake grins and it travels all the way to his still-closed eyes.]
Since it's your place, though, might be kinda rude if I did.
[ And it would be there that Helena stops moving, finally turned enough to half-face him - leaned against him, head resting upon his chest, and enough of a view to catch sight of him. And she is content. Comfortable, happy, and would very much damn anyone that made her move.
But they weren't going anywhere, at least not for the moment. And Helena hoped that there would be something later, or a little bit more to perfectly round off the moment ]
I would be interested in hearing suggestions, though. If you'll be around that is.

This mean we gotta get up now?
