Last night was pretty wild, or maybe it wasn't. You have just woken up, but you are not alone. Perhaps it is a stranger lying next to you, perhaps it's someone you know. It might be your significant other, or a one night stand. The fact remains that you are in bed together, naked (or maybe not) and something happened. Will you try to sneak away before they wake up, try for round two, or something else entirely?
HOW THIS WORKS:
1. Post with your character 2. Tag around 3. SHENANIGANS! 4. ??? 5. Profit
[ Bruce stirring like that, didn't do a whole lot to wake Dick. In fact, as he mumbled something or other, his arms lazily drifted about the older man's waist and held on loosely. Those incoherent mumbles were pleased sounds, to say the least - sounds of warmth and comfort he was sure he probably hadn't felt since he was very, very small. ]
Five more minutes... [ It was the slurred speech of a dream coming through, probably a dream of some normal morning. Or maybe just a dream of a young Robin trying his best to stay up on patrol with his Knight. ]
[Bruce was bad at human relationships, and bad at physical affection, and both of those left him slightly out of his depth in situations like these. He usually dealt with the problem by retreating behind a mask until he could bluff his way through, enough to scare most off and keep those who he couldn't scare at a distance. And so he retreated behind that mask now.]
Nightwing.
[The codename, title, rather than his actual name was a level of formality and an extra layer of distance. Something more to separate the two of them, to keep things professional rather than personal. Bruce didn't know how to handle personal. There was a large part of him that was afraid of it. Things that he loved died.]
[ The name should have cut through his dreams, through his sleep - it should have been a sign of potential danger, but it met resistance. Dick stirred only a little, his eyelids tightening up some, and then relaxing. This place, here, right next to Bruce, might as well have been the safest place in the world. What did he have to worry about here?
Still, it had been enough to shake him slightly out of the dream and it might not take much more to finish the job. For now, though, he was still clinging to his father in a moment of peace, subconsciously trying to make it last. ]
[ That managed to be enough to lightly break the spell of his sleep, but not the one of his comfort, not at first. Dick mumbled some more and wiggled slowly, this way and that. His eyes opened slowly as he let out a sleep-filled groan, and he found himself faced with...
With Bruce.
Oh...
The acrobat looked up to the man's face, an apologetic smile drawing across his lips. ]
[ The smile remained, despite that look. He still wasn't moving away; he knew he might never get another chance like this, so unless Bruce explicitly asked him this time... he might just stay here as long as he could. ]
Lord knows it's the only way we can get you to rest. [ It was meant as a gentle tease, but also a light reminder; he wished Bruce would take more time to just let himself recover. As if Dick were one to speak, though - he had learned his father's skill for pushing himself to inhuman levels. ]
[Or for personal mental and physical health and general well-being, but Bruce really cared about that only in as much as he had to in order to be as efficient as possible. There wasn't enough time to waste on sleep, not with so many other things always happening, so many things that he needed to stop.]
Oh, I don't think so. All sorts of people, with all sorts of things to do manage to find time to rest... [ He wondered how long it would be before Bruce maybe snapped at him or easily nudged him away from this, at this point. Dick wouldn't have fought it - there had been too many years of accepting that these sorts of moments were long gone between them. ]
Call me nostalgic, but I remember doing this a long time ago... [ He huffed out a small laugh. ] I think I barely stood above your waist back then.
no regrets ever

If I wasn't, I'd still be unconscious.
[Difficult to tell if he's being entirely serious, sometimes, seeing as how he has such a dry sense of humor.]

Rest is for people with nothing better to do.
