THE MYTHICAL CREATURES MEME

HOW IT WORKS:

You can either use the RNG or pick whichever creature you like.
Leave a comment with your muse. Now they are a mythical creature.
Others will tag your muse as a different or the same magical creature, or a human, or what they naturally are, or whatever they like.
If you'd prefer, all these creatures can appear human, but shift between forms.

O-Oh, I...I wouldn't want to trouble you...You and your friends have already done so much for the forest...

I know, but I couldn't leave in good conscience knowing I left behind someone hurt.

[And the thing about that is? It could be an injured chipmunk and the response would still be the same.]

W...W-Well...

[It does hurt a lot...as it is, she can barely hold it up.]

[He moves a little closer, then hesitates, unsure still if it was alright.]

[Watching him for a moment, she then turns slightly, bringing the injured wing closer to him and stretching it out as best she could.]

[He pauses just a moment longer before coming up to her wing, pulling the first aid kit out of his pocket.

First he needed to clean it, doing so with a warning that it might sting a little. After doing that, he applied the bandages to it, wrapping it up between the feathers and around as best he could.]

Alright... I think that's all I can do for now. I can- [He paused, then thinks better of suggesting she come back with him, and went on a different track instead.] -get supplies transferred in to me to do it better.

[She winces a little as he treats it, though quickly hushes the animals as they make unhappy noises at Chris.

When he finishes, she carefully tests her wing. It'd be a while before she could fly with it, that much she knew.]

I-If...you think that's best...

[She knew she was giving him a lot of trust at the moment...but she also had a feeling that it was well-deserved.]

I would, yeah. [He looked at her with what he hoped was a helpful smile.] Just so I can keep it from moving accidentally, or the bandages coming undone.

[She nods.] A-All right.

Okay. I'll get someone to send it to me... [Teleporting in directly might spook her or the animals again, and he didn't want to do that. So he gestures behind him some.]

I'll be right back.

All right. I'll...I'll be waiting.

[He smiled, then, somewhat reluctantly, turned and walked away. Chris moved through his own footprints, heading around the small incline instead of trying to go back up it.

Once he was enough distance away he sighed a little and glanced back, still somehow not believing what he'd seen. But then he pulls out the creature pod and contacts the Tortuga.

Once explaining (somewhat cagily, mind), he was sent a set of fresh bandages, appearing in his hands with a little flash of light. Wondering now if at least ~~a certain~~ one crewmember was going to seek him out now, on curiosity as well as realizing he had an injured creature on his hands, Chris started heading back.]

[By the time Chris returned, Fluttershy was lying back on the ground, the other animals around her to keep her warm.

When he approached, she lifted her head, smiling a little as he came near.]

[He watches the animals as he nears, and he gives the pegasus a smile as he comes up beside her.

Kneeling in the snow at her side, he begins a proper bandaging of her wing, again going as gently as possible.]

[She winces again as he tends to her wing, but manages to stay relaxed so the animals wouldn't get too concerned.

When he's finished, she gently flaps it to test the bandage and, satisfied, she grants him another smile.]

Thank you...for everything.

You're welcome. [He looked at the wing, resisting the urge to pat it as he stood up, and bent over briefly to brush the snow off his knees.]

I'm glad to've been able to help.

You've helped us so much, though...I wish there was something I could do to repay you.

Don't worry about it. Just getting this chance was payment enough.

[He wasn't usually one to believe in magic, and later one he would doubt that the whole thing had even been real. But it was hard to refute the evidence.]

[She smiles, then very slowly rises to her feet.]

Wh...What is your name?

My name? It's Chris. Chris Kratt.

[She smiles, somewhat shyly.] I'm...Fluttershy.

You and your friends will always be welcomed in this forest, Chris.

[He hadn't really expected her to have a name, but he smiled when he heard it, it was pretty and very suiting.

The smile warmed at her words, and he felt that bowing his head seemed right.]

Thank you. We appreciate it, we really do.

[She bowed her head in return.]

I...only ask for you not to tell anyone about me. N-Not even your friends...

It'd be...too dangerous if too many humans knew my kind existed...

[All of this had already been a big risk. But somehow she couldn't help but trust him.]
