Is there anything I can do to help?

[Arthur came closer yet and laid a hand on the stranger's shoulder. Whether the man was one of his or not, he wasn't going to leave a man in need.]

[So very close. The food was so close. And why did he see a person as food? That was a full vampire thing. But as the hand fell on his shoulder he couldn't hold back those deep instincts of his. With a desperate strength that he didn't knew he had in him, he pressed the stranger up against the wall, burying his face in the crock of his neck.]

There is.

[He opened his mouth where a pair of short fangs hid themselves. It wasn't really anything to brag about, but they would be able to pierce skin well enough. With a soft growl he bit down on the strangers neck and tasted the first drops of blood that came from it.]

[He hadn't felt that sort of strength since the last time he'd gotten into a fist fight with Alfred and it knocked his breath away. Staring at the man in shock, it caught him by surprise when those teeth bit into his throat.]

Ah!

[The nation's blood was strong, rich with his own magic and age. In other words, the perfect meal for a vampire.]

[Those first few drops wasn't enough to satisfy him by far. Not now when he had tasted how wonderfully good this blood was. Claude started to eagerly suck at the wound, letting out small pleased sounds. Each mouthful was a rich experiences of tastes. It was like he dined at a five star restaurant.]

[Arthur clutched at the man's shoulders tightly, his eyes wide as he was fed from. He'd met vampires before, but they usually knew better than to try and bite him. Most knew what he was.]

[Well he was young, only seventeen and not from around these parts. No matter how cliché it sounded, he was from Romania. And also he was desperately in need of the blood. It was so delicious and fulfilled his needs so perfectly.]

Careful...

[He wasn't frightened of being drained. It was impossible. But a vampire could gorge himself stupid, and he cared for the supernatural.]

[That one word pulled him back to reality and he let go with both teeth and hands from the man he had attacked. Clearly he wasn't used to drinking blood since his lips was smeared with the red liquid. He tried to dry it off with the back of his hand, face heating up over what he just had done.]

Sorry...

[Arthur leaned back against the wall, catching his breath. The wound on his neck was already starting to heal.]

It's fine. You were obviously hungry.

But I had dinner not long ago at all.

[He still didn't get why the need to drink blood suddenly had hit him. What he did know was that the strange hunger now was gone as well as the pain. Overall he found all of this rather odd and disturbing.]

What kind?

[Because he was already doubting that it'd been blood, if he'd been that hungry. Arthur would just have to hope that the vampire didn't get addicted to him.]

Fish and chips.

[That was what he had passed while looking for a good place to stay the night. A totally normal meal like always.]

Why do you ask?

Vampires can't usually sustain themselves on human food.

[Arthur reached up to feel his throat. The bite was utterly gone without a mark.]

It has worked perfectly well my whole life.

[Up to this point that is. If this was some kind of half blood vampire puberty thing then it were utmost ridiculous.]

I'm not really a normal vampire.

Care to share? Since I would say you owe me something.

[He leaned against the wall, watching the other man. Arthur raised an eyebrow at him.]

I have a human mother.

[He shrugged. It wasn't anything more then that really. Well except all the things that came with being a half blood.]

I age and eat normal food, can't be hurt by sunlight and don't drink blood.

[Well that earned a disbelieving snort.]

Obviously, you do. And you picked one hell of a first meal, young man.

You did taste rather good.

[It actually had him a bit freaked out that he had been drinking blood. Of what he knew blood should not be on his menu.]

[Arthur flushed.]

I wouldn't make it a habit to drink mine. I'm told that vampires can get addicted to my kind.

[Claude had no plans to drink blood again since his mind still was set on that he didn't needed it. At least that was partly right. He would need blood from now on, just not that often.]

[As if Arthur was going to tell him that easily.]

Tell me, what impression did you get when you were feeding?

I don't really know. Your blood had rich flavours like a well aged vine.

[Despite his age he had tasted vine, both newly made and that had been left to age. It was the best comparison he could come up with since he didn't knew how normal blood tasted.]

Well aged? I suppose that's a way to put it.

[Better than being called old. He saved that for Francis.]

I can tell you're not one of mine. Where are you from?

[This was one curious dude, but he kind of owned him after just jumping him like that. How much blood had he drunk anyway? It felt like quite a lot. At least enough to make a normal human wobbly.]

[Arthur snorted, making a face. Of course. Could that country never keep its vampires home and out of London?]

I shouldn't be surprised, though clearly I need to have a talk with him...
